The taxi driver recommended this taco place and I am happy that he did. This place smells amazing when you walk up to it. You are greeted with an amazing smell of grilled meats that smells so Smokey and good. The prices are fair and the amount of food that you get is ridiculous. I definitely ordered more than I could eat I had to give a taco away to some random guy. The flavors of the carne asada as Smokey and hickory wood kind of tasting and the meats quality was great also. The service is fast and efficient they also put my guacamole and salsa on the side for me.
Amazing tacos and mullitas. Unlike LA, they are not stingy with the meat portions and their corn tortillas seem larger, too. The carne asada and the Al pastor was equally delicious. Both very flavorful and cooked to perfection. 35 pesos ($2.20) for each taco and 120 pesos ($7.5) for each mullita. Price point was a little cheaper or more expensive than LA, depending where you are in LA, but in terms of the quality and portion, it was reasonable.
You have to come here if in rosarito Mx . Asada tacos with handmade tortillas you can't beat, super good taste on the asada meat and the best guac. Not going to be the most athletic place or clean but we came here twice the same day because it was so good: lots of locals and food flying out quick. I'm already craving it
Popped into El Paisano on a mid-Sunday morning (7/17/22). El Paisano is located on one of the main roads in Rosarito, Mexico. It's within walking distance from the beach. I highly suggest driving around until you find free street parking. I tried... + un taco de cabeza - very tender, but a bit fatty + un taco de pastor - it was alright. + taco de asada - the best of the three All tacos were 30 pesos each. They load them up with onions, cilantro, guacamole, and salsa if you like all of that. One of my kiddos had a cheese quesadilla. She enjoyed it for the most part. We shared a Fresca Sabor Toronja & orange Fanta to drink. Their ordering system is a bit wonky with orders written on strips of notepad. Some items are in one area, others in a different area. There is ample seating in the open air restaurant. The smoke from the grills might be overwhelming, but I didn't mind it. Other than that... no complaints especially since there is a free to use restroom on site.
Good tacos made fresh in front of you, while you wait. Open space to sit in, clean restrooms. One of many taqueria's pit stops to indulge in, especially after drink binging. But this one unlike the true taqueria (which is hardcore red meat, pork & lengua/etc) had fish option. If your vegetarian, you'll understand the frustration trying to find a taqueria to accommodate out here. Salsas where tasty and sodas in glass bottles, how good does it get? Luckily we ate fast & left right after a power outage during a storm - part of Rosarito was in the dark & they were closing shops to keep looters out. I would hate to eat in the dark :(
First time trying El Paisano. I've been a creature of habit for the last 30 years so I ventured out to this new taco stand. The carne asada and al pastor were delicious but the al pastor is their shinning star! We came back an hour later and had an al pastor Mulitas. OMG, the decadence! There's a competitor I've been going to for 30 years. It's time to buy there al pastor and do a taco taste off with El Paisano to determine who is the best (in my book). That will be the next trip taco run.
Let me just say BOMB!!!! I love tacos period. So this passed weekend i was so excited to go to Rosarito because everyone i know raves about the tacos. Any how first stop El Paisano and they definitely were up there. Al Pastor Tacos with everything were so delicious when we go back for sure my go to spot.... *tip your servers, the little boy was so sweet and attentive despite being so busy on a Saturday night

I was on a cruise for Royal Caribbean, and we were on an excursion to Rosarito. I had to stop at this place. I've seen it on YouTube quite a few times, and let me tell you. The tacos are so delicious! Nothing is better than getting a fish and shrimp taco in Rosarito. Service is wonderful. If you are ever in the area, you have to try el paisano. read more

Solid Choice grabbed a cantarito across the corner then walked over to try them out they had quick Service Cash only first visit I went with one of Each and by far the Pastor was best and had left me wanting more so on the second trip I went 3 Pastor & 3 Asada Def worth it read more

Tacos El Paisano was recommended to us as the best carne asada tacos in Mexico. They said to be sure to get them on flour tortillas and they did not disappoint! Sooo delicious! And we even got a little entertainment from Jose! True Mexican ambiance. read more

Tacos were good. The pastor meat was a bit too over cooked and crispy which had it lose its flavor. The Asada tacos were good but I think what was missing is spicer salsa. They top the tacos with a mild tomato salsa and guacamole. The corn tortillas are on the thicker side. We decided to stop here because of the crowd so we assumed it was a popular spot. read more
By far one of my favorite taco spots and a must visit whenever I drive into Mexico. The staff truly are sweethearts and make sure you're going to get quality food and that you're going to get it fast aha. I get the pastor tacos every time as they are my favorite, however I have noticed that the past couple times that I've gotten them they get more and more chewy which im personally not a fan of. But still they're so good that I eat them anyways. The asada is great every time, however i'm just not the biggest fan of asada anywhere. So, for me to like the asada multis says a lot. Their horchata is super fresh and definitely has that homemade taste which I am the biggest fan of. It comes in a bottle so I always make sure to order a couple to go for later. they also have a bunch of condoments such as jalapeños, cebolla, pepino and limes for you to take. I personally get a lot simply because they're a good pallet cleanser for the spice as the RED SALSA IS SPICY aha. Definitely check them out ! Parking can be tricky if its busy, but I usually pay for the $5 parking lot right next to them so I can walk around after without worrying. read more

This place increased their prices a bit, tacos are now 20 or 21 pesos per taco which is about $1.25. But it's still not too bad, and the tacos are worth it! I come here every time I'm in Rosarito, it's really centrally located and cheap! The al pastor tacos are my favorite! They're flavorful, juicy, and oh my god so good and memorable. That's what keeps me coming back, and the service is fast. I also get the horchata because it's my favorite drink here. It's super creamy and rich, full of flavor and cinnamon. The carne Asada tacos are also really good, the meat is so tender and juicy. Everything you could ask for in a taco. I also need to mention that they add a lot of toppings to each taco, such as onions, salsa, and guacamole! This place is open during the day and night so you can stop by whenever. read more
This spot is good. I come to Rosarito about two times per year. I always come to El Paisano because our hotel is down the street and it's probably the best taco spot nearby. However, never noticed but this time I seen 2-3 employees eating in between serving and not being sanitary. Rinsing hands after they take a bite of there food. It was after I ordered, still ate, glad I didn't get sick, but it was good. Tijuana style taqueria. If you don't mind the rugged-ness you get in Mexico taco stands, i suggest a restaurant. This is why it gets three stars because it probably happens everyday, just haven't seen it while there. No gloves. Other than that, they have different meats, tacos, quesadillas, everything is good. All in all, I'll return and recommend. read more
Myself I am a guy that will do things on a whim, and when I'm with my brother from another Jason K. , well lets just say that is a rolling party right there. We both were feeling good when we heard Cypress Hill's "Tequila Sunrise" being played. As we were nodding to this song we just gave each other that all knowing nod with a smirk. We all know that agreeing nod, all of a sudden BOOM we had that sudden urge for tacos at 10 am. Sometimes you just need to make a run to the border for a taco and quite possibly some tequila. I mean come on, I/we are one hour away, and there is no better way to experience a true authentic one than in May-He-Ko. That is Mexico in case you weren't picking up what I'm throwing down people. Tacos el Paisano has the best "Street Meat" out there, literally the freshest tacos known to man. I mean seriously there is that juicy carne asada that is rotating on that spit waiting to be shaved down. Nice sized portions placed on freshly made tortillas, with that fresh cilantro, freshly chopped onions, and wedges of lime waiting to be squeezed. Then you have that anejo cheese mixing it up, along with that homemade salsa verde acting like a blanket keeping those ingredients safe, while hitting your taste buds like a pinata! I'm not sure if you noticed, but the key word here is FRESH! With that and this being cheap, you'd be enjoying a great feast to the point where you think you are getting away with robbery. It doesn't get any better than this my friends, add a cold cerveza to this, and well you'll be truly satisfied. There is also a lovely Senora Rosalynda selling that 100% Agave Mezcal with the worm we found 2 blocks away for 5 US dollars. Clear Mexican moonshine known as Tequila! I called it "White Lightning", or in Spanish "relampago blanco" it was so smooth it would just hit you like lightning when you stand up. In all this is a place where you would need to visit for an AMAZING taco, with the freshest ingredients out there . Go and enjoy ! read more
I really don't have much to say except the tacos al pastor are so simple yet so amazing. I also liked their efficient ordering system. You order at the cash register and go into two lines depending on what you order. There's plenty of seating and the tables are kept relatively clean! read more

We heard about this taqueria by a sweet middle aged couple that we ran into the day before. They were telling us all the best spots in town, including Tacos Paisano. They did not disappoint. This was the fourth taqueria we visited over the weekend and we certainly saved best for last. My favorite was the al pastor tacos - perfectly flavored and with just the right amount of char and grilled texture. It was HOT off the grill. The carne asada was also tasty. The lengua was decent, but did not have any flavor. This place gets the best al pastor taco award. read more

This taco place was great! We originally had our hearts set on Tacos El Yaqui, but they were closed...for weeks! This place popped up on yelp and we are glad to have picked this place as a back up. We prefer flour tortillas, which wasn't an option for tacos, so we decided on pastor burritos. The portions of meat were very generous, which caused the burritos to completely fall apart, but who's really to complain about that. read more
