We got the asada tacos to go with everything on it. It was so good! The meat, the tortilla, the guac, all of it hit the spot. It is really crowded so expect to wait and we waiting about 15 min maybe for to go order still worth it. There are three options you can do to go orders which people walk up to a table in the middle to order , dine in which has a line on the left side (seemed to move quickly) , and drive thru where you park behind a sign and wait in your car and they will bring it out to you.
So I usually go to another taco stand VERY VERY close to Franc's and really enjoy them. My coworker asked me to come to Francs with him mentioning that they are a Michelin Star restaurant and so we did. Service was great in this open area restaurant. I had two al Pastor tacos. They were absolutely delicious and I think a little bigger than the other location. Although I did miss the pineapple in my tacos. The salsa was great and again, I really enjoyed having options. It was packed but still had plenty of seating for all
Even though there are numerous street vendors with arguably larger portions and better pricing, this place is still a solid choice providing the variety of meats and no-nonsense approach to getting delicious tacos out fast. There were a few vendors on the street selling pastries and other sweets and lots of pedestrians passing by, not to mention traffic congestion. That said, we were in line for a mere few minutes before we were promptly seated and had our orders taken. Around the restaurant, conversations were loud and the energy was palpable. The folks preparing the tacos were front and center, with meat supplies replenished as quickly as they are depleted. I ordered the suadero, tripa, campechano, and lengua with everything on. The campechano had a meaty, charred flavor of beef mixed with guacamole, and the suadero was a succulent stewed meat with plenty of dripping goodness. Priced slightly more than the rest, the lengua was familiar, yet memorable and worth trying. My favorite has to be the tripas, a hit of umami with a delicious crispy texture. A bottle of Mazanita Sol helped wash everything down. In total, we ordered 14 tacos and might have ordered more had we not been completely full.
I'm a bit perplexed about "Tacos El Franc." I've been told over and over again that these tacos aren't good. My family in Tijuana has said the same, as well as my friend who loves their sister location, "Tacos El Frances." However, these tacos were actually pretty good--the best we had that night, and we even went to another taco spot nearby. There was a line, but we were seated in about five minutes. A lady came by to take our order. We each ordered two tacos, and one of us ordered a mula. For drinks, they only have Pepsi products, homemade horchata, and jamaica (hibiscus). The drinks came out quickly, and the food followed soon after. I had an adobada taco with everything on it and a carne asada taco, also with everything. The adobada was flavorful, and the hot sauce wasn't too spicy. The best one, though, was the carne asada--it was very flavorful as well. My friend, who usually prefers the sister location, was surprised by how good it was this time. So, I can say that on this visit, the tacos were amazing. However, I wouldn't expect that level of quality every time--it seems to vary (YMMV). The restaurant itself isn't the best looking, and the seating arrangements are a bit odd. The table we sat at had questionable seats--we honestly didn't think they'd hold up the whole time we were there, but they did. Overall, if you want to try this place, go for it and start with a couple of tacos. If they're good, order more. Just don't expect it to be a 10/10 every visit. F.Y.I this place is cash only. They take pesos or US dollars.
Wow, there is a reason this spot is on the Michelin Recommended list!! We arrived about 10 minutes after the restaurant opened and it was already packed! The adobada vampiro was sooooo delicious. The tortillas were fried perfectly and there it was so filled. The guacamole was so fresh. I need to come back with an empty stomach to try the cabeza.
Been here many times and they never fail to deliver great quality food! Not to mention the delicious chile and grilled onions. The cucumbers are a plus for me. Real guacamole and great customer service. I personally love their fresh aquas frescas and their al pastor tacos. You can smell these tacos blocks away. Food is always freshly made. Tortillas are authentically made in front of you and they have a drive through which makes it even more convenient for people on the go! A must try in Tijuana. Best tacos hands down!
Best tacos so far I had in Tijuana. I got the carne asada tacos they are delicious the flavor of the meat is amazing. The tortilla is hand made. I should order 2 best the are big. The guy that help us with our food was nice and was very helpful what to order. You had to wait but was not too much only like 10 minutes. There is a long line but worth the wait
"Where's a good place to get tacos?" Well, here! Super friendly service, simple, inexpensive, and the locals love this place too. Tacos are 45 pesos each. If you're not sure which taco to start with, always start with Taco Asada (basic beef taco). If you come solo you can sit at the taco bar. Just yell out "asada" and within a minute they'll call to you "amigo!" and hand you your fresh off the grill taco. Very lively ambiance. You might have to wait up to 10 minutes for a table to become available. Pay at the register.

This was our very first stop after crossing the border into Mexico, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It came highly recommended by both locals and fellow food lovers, and after seeing the incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. We ordered a little bit of everything: tacos de tripa, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, and an asada quesadilla. Every single item was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The tripas were perfectly crispy without being greasy, the al pastor was juicy, well-seasoned, and had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the asada was tender with a delicious char-grilled flavor. The asada quesadilla was generously filled with meat and gooey melted cheese, making it the perfect complement to the tacos. One thing I really appreciated was how convenient the ordering process is. They have a drive-through style setup where you simply pull up and park in front of the restaurant. An employee comes directly to your car to take your order, and once your food is ready, they bring it right out to you. It's such an easy and efficient experience, especially if you're eager to grab amazing food and get back on the road. It's easy to see why this place has earned such a stellar reputation. Between the authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and convenient setup, this was the perfect way to kick off our trip into Mexico. If you are looking for the absolute best tacos in Tijuana, Tacos El Franc is the real deal! We came here with a group of 5 and absolutely indulged ourselves on a feast. . Between all of us, we tried the asada, adobada, lengua, and tripa and other meat options. Honestly, every single taco was hit out of the park. They do not skimp on the meat at all--everything is incredibly well-served. While all the meats were fantastic, the adobada and the asada were the absolute stars of the show. Flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and juicy. Even with a group of 5, the service was lightning-fast. We loved the open-air seating area which gives you that classic, high-energy TJ taco spot vibe. It's a must-visit. We will definitely be back for round two! read more
The best spot for tacos before leaving Tijuana ! But definitely no where fancy to sit and eat your tacos lol but they do have very fast service. They only take cash! It is loud and crowded but the tacos are amazing. read more

The line up of cars and the anxious locals lined up for the best tacos in TJ spoke volumes. A friendly chef invited me to sit down as he carved up the adobada. Tacos That Hit the Spot All the tacos were fantastic, but the tripas--extra crispy--were the standout. Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Yes yes and yes. Let me tell you a little something about tacos. I have had them everywhere and this myth of TJ having the best tacos has Been confirmed at tacos El Franc. Best tacos in the world. Get there before the rush and enjoy. The service is phenomenal and they do have parking. Lots of seating space. read more

the hype is real! their tacos are really awesome. we tried every taco they have in their menu and ALL of them are extremely delicious but my favorite is the lengua. server were friendly and service was quick. definitely we will back next time we visit TJ. read more
Okay...I finally made it to Tacos El Franc which if you ask most Mexicans who live in Tijuana, this is the best spot! I ordered two carne asada tacos and one al pastor. Carne asada was just okay. Had good flavor but nothing spectacular.....but the al pastor were bomb. Had a great flavor and good size. All in all for 176 pesos ($10) was a good deal and the al pastor tacos are worth the trip. From a parking standpoint, there is none so I'd recommend parking across the street at Mercado Hidalgo market for 25 pesos/hr. read more
The food was fantastic. We ordered five tacos de carne asada with everything, one plain carne asada taco (for my dog), horchata, and Jamaica. The food smelled amazing, but I didn't get a chance to eat it until about an hour or so after I picked it up since I had to pick up my dog from the vet. It ran longer than expected. Still bomb af for being cold. My dog had to fast and hadn't eaten in about 16 hours so she got a special treat; A plain taco that she devoured in seconds. The only watch out is it's cash only. If you have a Mexican bank account, you can go across the street to OXXO for cash. If you're coming from the states, you'll need to go to an HSBC bank a couple kilometers away. Can't speak too much to the ambiance as I did the drive thru. But I will absolutely return! read more

Nothing beats tacos especially down South in Mexico!! There are a lot of great spots that serve fire tacos and I recently checked out Tacos el Franc after seeing someone post about them on IG and these tacos are One thing about Mexico is that taco spots are NOT greedy at all with their food portions. They don't go charging you extra got extra for salsas, lime or anything!! We went in the afternoon for a late lunch before getting in that long line at the border to cross back home and the portions of 3 tacos were perfect! Located in the heart of downtown minutes away from the start of the border line, prime location. The service is great, they hustle and move quick. With the long lines that they get of traffic, they have to move fast. They even offer curbside ordering if it's too packed and you don't want to wait, a waitress will get your order and bring it to your car. There's plenty of sit down tables where you can sit and eat and it's loud. The restaurant itself is so clean which I loved as well! They offer a variety of meats to pick from and the best one IMO was the asada taco. Served in a bigger tortilla with added frijoles de la hoya WOW You have your common meats being cooked to perfection in different sections throughout the restaurant. I always love eating good tacos and Baja never disappoints and neither did Tacos el Franc read more

A locally loved spot for TJ style tacos in Tijuana! We came during lunchtime and the place was packed. There was a short line, but it moved quickly as a casual and fast lunch spot. They have a variety of proteins including al pastor, adobada, lengua, and cabeza. I tried an al pastor and adobada and both were great. They definitely don't skimp on the guacamole. The tacos are delicious, but not the best I've had in other parts of Mexico. read more

Since the day I found this place I'm here anytime I'm in TJ. Been here more than 3 times now. No lies one of the best Tacos in TJ. Friendly team staff. Food is a 10/10 (other than the Tripa for me, but with lemon it's not that bad). Service 10/10 gets busy on a weekend but lines move so fast. The OJ fresca is yummy. Parking curbside and side parking, drive thru if you want to stay in your car. Uber from Easy Parking at the boarder is like $2. Must try in TJ for Taco lovers. Ambience is casual. read more

Heard lots of good things about this place so decided to try it out when visiting Tijuana. They had a tiny lot that gets full quick, so your next option is street parking or parking lots down the street. There was a line out for dining in, but no line for takeout orders so I decided to do that option. Orders came out pretty quickly and just ate in the car. The tacos were smothered in avocado salsa & it was delicious!! My favorite meat was definitely the adobada. It had a nice marinade and right amount of seasoning. Their salsa is pretty spicy for a non-spice tolerant person so be warned! Definitely worth the visit and wait. read more

Had to come back as we were in town, but had time to sit and eat. Much better eating them fresh for sure. Delicious asada, adobada and tripas which were the three meats we tried this trip. Service is always so fast and friendly, especially with the owners walking around with the Michelin jackets :). They have a parking lot close by, which was news to us but their staff was quick to point us to it as we were slowly driving by looking to park. Will always make room for a couple of El Frac tacos when in town. read more
