I stopped by here on the last leg of a weekend getaway to Rosarito Beach. My friend and I stayed at the very very nive Las Rocas resort and spa.
After a couple of hours of walking up and down Revoluccion we decided to take a load off our hot feet and have a couple of cold tangy margaritas and a cold beer. The drinks tasted fantastic after huffing around Tijuana. The atmosphere is old school with vintage sepia toned images of Tijuana in the beginning of the 20th century. The pace has a a nice patio right on Revoluccion where it begins . And from the inside you can have a great people watch experience from the open doorway , through the bar window behind the bottles of tequila or out on the patio. A combination of old thick wooden tables and chairs, bright colors and an assortment of curiosities to keep your eyes busy. Nice digital jukebox that takes $$ dollars.
Food,, yes, they serve comida and have a pretty good selection . My amigo and I ordered tacos and a plate of mojarra frita. The salsa was excelente and had a nice slow burn simmer to it. The perfect match for the cold beers.Tab for two with drinks, chips , tacos and a large whole fish was under $20.00.
