This is the first time I've ever been to a Cold Stone, and it is expensive!! We got two smalls with one mixed in each, and it totaled almost $16!! It was only one scoop of ice cream each. It's just not worth it to come here when there are many family owner or small businesses that taste better and is cheaper. The one thing that they have different is that they have mix ins. Wasn't the prettiest cake but definitely tasted good. My go to Banana Caramel Crunch sub with Banana Ice Cream always hits the spot. Of course this isn't my first visit however I am happy that they have been consistent with fixing sugar cravings for all these years. My teenager was rewarded with this treat after stringing lights yesterday. Aside from this one issue I really enjoyed my experience. However I have tried calling and each time it goes straight to voicemail and it's full so I can't leave a message. I went in today to get three ice creams to go. One was for my two year old. Watermelon sorbet. That's it. The "like it" size. No add ons. I get home and it's not watermelon. It's not a fruit at all. It's like cotton candy or something weird and like, bubbly or carbonated? Just very odd. There was another pink ice cream so I think the lady (who was very nice, no complains, mistakes happen) mixed them up. I also messaged you guys on Facebook but didn't even get a "be with you asap" message, so I'm coming here. I can't think of any time when I've had worse ice cream... looked like the fridges are underpowered or something because all the ice cream in the case was melting. What I was served was basically slop. Poor quality ingredients. I also got a waffle cone which was flavorless. I have no complaints of this Cold Stone! Honestly, the service is fast, the ice cream is tasty and it's very convenient for me to come here because it's in the area. I love how it's located in a plaza with a bunch of other restaurants and the movie theater. I would recommend the signature creations : Cheesecake fantasy and Banana Caramel crunch are my two absolute favorites. I gotta get the cheesecake fantasy with extra graham crackers every time. This place used to be so cute and had friendly staff. Now it's rundown and the girl that helped us was so rude. When we got there she looked right at us and didn't say a word until we asked for help. When my daughter ordered a strawberry shortcake she rudely told us they didn't have strawberry's. Not entirely sure why their rating is so low...its ice cream people, let's lower the bar a little. Came here with my family to treat our Dad to some ice cream for Father's Day and there was no line. There was a total of 4 people working that day; one in the back, two working in the front, and another working the register. All employees had their masks on and gloves to handle the ice cream. There are some stickers on the floor to encourage social distancing, but I did notice several customers after us chose not to wear masks. We ordered a large Milk & Oreo Cookies Milkshake, Love it of Strawberry Batter Batter, (with a waffle cone on the side) Apple Pie a al Cold Stone, Cake Batter Batter Batter, and a Like It of One Smart Brookie. Altogether our total came out to around $35 but if you tip right now, they will not sing for those who like that novelty of Coldstone's. Overall the flavors were good, and the employees for the most part knew how to make the creations correctly. I did notice one kept looking at the menu to be sure she had the right ingredients...shouldn't they know that by heart? Minus one star for not fully knowing how to make the ice cream creations and not having a place for customers to enjoy their ice cream outside...we ended up awkwardly eating it right outdoors. It's a shame that chains usually get a less than stellar rep in Yelp. The Vallejo Cold stone Creamery was my very 2nd job ever when I was in high school and it always brings back fond memories of my coworkers and I singing fun ice cream-tinged cover songs when we got tips. My go-tos are the 1) Founder's Favorite- sweet cream ice cream, brownie, pecans, fudge and caramel and 2) Banana Caramel Crunch- French vanilla ice cream, banana, almonds, and caramel. I also liked creating and mixing my own masterpieces , which included graham cracker pie crust, peanut butter, brownies, etc. Good thing I was in sports when I worked there or else I would've blown up. Just went here today for a founder's favorite snack and the store had a few updates- it got more signature flavors, the menu includes calories now (no more ignorance is bliss) and the layout has improved. When I want some delicious ice cream, I go to a cold stone near me. I've been to this location 3 times now. Each time they have been super busy, like line out the door. The line moves pretty fast, the customer service is usually eh not great, and not bad either. There's always been a younger crew each time I've been in. I think they're so busy, they may not have the capacity to be super friendly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to be impressed, it's just nice when it seems like someone is happy to serve you some ice cream. They come off like robots, like hurry up and buy! Ha. Large foreign object found in my ice cream May 14 we ordered ColdStone. The first bite I took I felt myself swallowing something small and plastic but I was not able to catch it before it went down my throat. It cut the back of my tongue. I assumed it was an almond because the person I was with had almonds in their order. The second bite I found a large plastic object in my ice cream. I took it to ColdStone and let them know what happened. They knew exactly what it was, a piece from the piping bags and they had no idea how it got into my ice cream. The customer services is horrible. There were three young ladies working, all were making ice cream orders and one talking about how she told Gary to shut up. So unprofessional. What's so ironic about this is several years ago the same young lady was talking about how Gary wanted her to train someone else, and she felt he should do it himself. When I walked in, there were three customers, not, including myself, was never acknowledged, never heard them tell the young lady and her children I'll be right with you at all. By the time I made it to the counter six more customers came in. The display fill with ice ice cream Was horrible. That fell through the holder there were three missing I wish I had my camera so I could take a picture of what it really look like because a picture is worth 1000 words. I'm so disappointed because I always come here to get ice cream, and recently I decided to try their ice cream cakes. Because of how well the service is regularly I was expecting my ice cream cake to be perfect! The worker was nice, I walked in on a very busy day, but I ordered a Oreo ice cream cake. The worker wrote down how I wanted to customize it. I asked for the writing to be in red icing, white frosting, snickers to top it, and sprinkles on the bottom. I also asked for yellow cake. When I went to pick it up, they were busy so I got my bag and when I got home I noticed the writing was in YELLOW icing, not red like I had asked. I got irritated, but said whatever it's still readable. Later that night when we cut the cake (for a birthday celebration) we noticed that instead of the yellow cake we asked it was chocolate cake!! Luckily, the birthday boy enjoyed the chocolate cake but the workers need to be more careful, what if someone has allergies etc. They write down the customers wants for a reason I don't know how they messed this up. Server talking on the phone about personal matters while a line to the door was present and we had to wait. 2. My brother and sister in law had a $25 gift card for Cold Stone and wanted to get my nephew an ice cream cake for his 4th birthday. I looked at pre ordering online and picking it up, it wasn't too hard, I got to see all of the choices but I ran into a problem applying the gift card and then it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I would recommend this if you're planning way far in advance. But it was nice to show my 4 year old nephew choose which flavor cake he wanted. So I went to go and try to pick it up. On a Sunday afternoon it was quite busy and there was a long socially distant line outside. Once I got inside the cashier noticed I was just looking at the cakes and said that I could just come up to pay for it and didn't have to wait in line which was great. I even asked for them to write a birthday message. It was a little over $30 for the smallest circle cake. We got the strawberry red velvet cake which had real frozen strawberries, red velvet cake, graham cracker crumbles, and strawberry ice cream. My old job would order this cake for peoples birthdays and it was always a hit. The instructions say to just leave the cake out for 10 minutes prior to eating. I ordered my daughter's birthday cake online & called the store before placing the order to make sure what time to pick it up the next day. I was told to call before picking up the cake to make sure it was ready. I call the next day & the employee said she couldn't find my cake & she would call her coworker to find out where it was. I call back 15 minutes later & she still didn't know where it was. I asked her to call me when they find it. 2 hours later I get a phone call from a cell phone I don't recognize so I didn't answer. I get a text saying they "found" my cake. I call Cold Stone & ask about my cake & she said they found it. I pick up the cake & notice the quality of the cake when I get to my car. By "finding" my cake, they probably just slapped it together really fast because it wasn't made yet. Already frustrated with the whole ordeal I just go home so we can finally sing happy birthday to my daughter. Spending over $50 for an ice cream cake, I better receive a quality product.
