    My ice cream

The place was very welcoming. Hannah welcomed me with very warm greetings. My ice cream was delicious! I would 100% recommend.

What a waste of $10, seriously I can't even eat this, ice cream is about 80% melted, the waffle cone is stale. Very disappointing

Cleaning isn't in this place's vocabulary!

Don't Even Bother!! Dust is everywhere, hanging off the ceiling fans just waiting to fall in someone's food. Employees were all hiding in the back listening to explicit music arguing about who's turn it was to go out and help customers! Went in to get the new Barbie cake I've been seeing on social media and was VERY disappointed to see they didn't have it despite it saying it's available online! My daughters birthday is this Thursday so hopefully another location has their stuff together a little better than this place does! (Also sent a complaint into corporate over 48 hours ago and still haven't heard ANYTHING! ColdStone just isn't what I remember growing up, very sad to see.)

    So many choices!

Yum! I love coming here when I am in town visiting family. It is such a nice treat! We came in last night and were greeted right away and were helped immediately. I am so sad that we can't sample anymore, but I understand. Jacob and Charisma were so nice and helped us quickly. They both had masks on and were wearing them properly. I love that they have a freezer filled with ready to go cakes, cookie sandwiches and packed quarts. The rack of birthday candles is so convenient too. The store was clean and so were the tables. Our ice cream was so delicious and I liked that there are to-go lids for the ice cream cups. There is plenty of parking!

Dirty establishment with teenagers texting in-between making orders. The area where they make the ice cream was unorganized and messy with dirty rags nearby while the counter where they place your order looked like it had not been cleaned in years with sprinkles and ice cream melted everywhere. Oreo cream ice cream did taste authentic, but was way too sweet. 6 bucks each for small size.

    Only one worker!

This is the worst place I have ever been. Long wait and there is only one worker which is not professional! The restaurant is also very hot as fuck which it should not be. All ice cream were melting when I was ordering.

Always high quality ice cream and add ons with great service. Always love ordering the chocolate with brownies and strawberries. Great mix and the different ingredients mix well. Will come back to this location again that is located across the street from Paradise Valley Mall

Yelp said open until 11pm, showed up at 10:45 and they were closed! So sad... off we go to Fry's to buy yogurt.

Ice cream bowl was good. Milkshake was disgusting. It was made way too liquidy and served anyways. Waste of money.

There isn't any indoor seating, so this is more of a grab-your-ice-cream-and-go kind of place. After being out in the Arizona heat all day, we didn't mind one bit! My friend got a scoop of peanut butter pecan in a pretzel cone, which I thought was such a unique combination. She said it was really tasty, and I have to admit the pretzel cone definitely caught my attention. My daughter went with peanut butter ice cream in a waffle cone. The waffle cones are made homemade right there, and they also make their cookies in-house, which made everything feel extra special. I ordered a salted caramel sundae with butter pecan ice cream, and let me tell you--it was amazing! It was the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and creamy. My sundae also came with a cookie, so of course I had to try it, and it was so good. You could definitely tell it was freshly made. After spending the day exploring Arizona in the heat, ice cream was exactly what we needed. Churn was the perfect way to cool down and end our day on a sweet note!

What a great custom menu with lots of creative choices for ice-cream, ice-cream sandwiches, shake and floats, coffee and coffee desserts. Custom rotating flavors that we tried and sampled as we decided. Love how there's a secret back entrance to the ice cream parlor from Windsor Cocktail Bar next door. This is part of a cluster of good restaurants of different types along Central Avenue in Uptown. Parking available right in front of the entrance as well as around back in a private parking lot. I was so tempted by several items on the menu, but since I had just had a large lunch, I chose to try a single scoop of the Vietnamese coffee ice cream. So delicious and I loved the tiny specks of coffee. Hubs got a double scoop of strawberry ice cream, and my son got a strawberry shake. We all really enjoyed the interior and decor of the ice cream shop and the high-quality and good flavors of the ice cream. Service is really great here. The ladies were really working hard and going as fast as they could, and it didn't look easy scooping the large scoops of frozen hard ice cream. There was a line out the door on the Saturday afternoon that we showed up that moved quickly.

My friends and I stopped in for dessert around 8pm on a Tuesday, and it wasn't very busy. There were a few different seating areas inside and some outside too. Ultimately this doesn't matter to me as I just want the ice cream. Today I was on my way to work and decided to treat myself to a coffee. Knowing that they're vegan, I thought non-dairy milk would be included. Nowhere was I able to find which milk was included in the price- so I asked for oat milk. I was charged NINTEY CENTS (.90) for an upcharge. Rather than saying oh it comes with soy milk, or hey it's a .90 cent upcharge, the barista just added it on no questions asked. I had reviewed the menu online and in the extras it does not include oat milk, which is why I assumed it came with it. My coffee ultimately came out to $9.16. What a joke. I will definitely not be coming back here for anything besides ice cream from here on out and even that is a hard maybe. I wish more places had pricing integrity- their website doesn't reflect it and neither did the barista. *edit to add the coffee is extremely sweet and milky, tastes more like sweet milk than a latte :(

A Nostalgic, Must-Visit Dessert Destination in Old Town Scottsdale…read more Our party of six visited the Sugar Bowl for dessert following a friend's birthday dinner. Upon our arrival, we were accommodated immediately and seated without any delay. The parlor features a wonderful, nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of the late 1900s. Its menu is remarkably expansive, offering an impressive variety of options that goes well beyond what one might typically expect from a traditional dessert establishment. The service we received was patient and polite. While one of our table's orders was initially overlooked, the staff corrected the mistake instantly as soon as we brought it to our server's attention. As the name implies, the menu leans heavily into decadent, sweet treats; those looking for lighter or tart options like yogurt variations will find limited choices, but the indulgent selections are perfect for traditional dessert lovers. The surrounding neighborhood adds significantly to the appeal, offering an excellent Old Town atmosphere filled with art galleries, historic shops, and artifacts. If you are visiting the nearby Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), enjoying dinner in the area, or simply taking an evening walk, I highly recommend stopping by the Sugar Bowl for its unique historical charm and experience.

I considered several options in Phoenix area to review, but I decided to go with the iconic Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale. It's been in business since the 1950's and has been a staple for 7 decades in Old Town. The inside is 1890's decor of pink & white wallpaper/decor like an old fashioned ice cream parlor. They have a bar area and standard seating. I remember I first went here when I was in high school in late 90's/early 2000's. Ice cream was always top notch. I used to get the Buster Brownie, which was this big brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream, goeey marshmallow topping, whipped cream, & cherry on top. It was awesome! I loved that way back then. I got lunch there once or twice; pretty good sandwiches, but the real highlight is the ice cream. My most recent visit was in Jan. 2022 with my dad. We decided to pop in for ice cream. It was as delicious as I remembered.
