We are back because of an employee named Daniel. He has great energy and great customer service. My two kids loved him and remembered him when we came back today. This was such a painful experience! I work in retail and I am a general manager so I'd hope I'd get this information back to me if it happened in my store. My son, husband and I decided to head to cold stone tonight for some ice cream. The three girls that were working were horrible. The line was to the door and they were painfully slow or not doing anything at all or dancing or joking with each other. Not focusing on the customers. Several customers walked out tonight but we invested too much time waiting. The girls asked customers over and over about their orders. The lady in front of us was asked three times if she wanted whip cream. My husband was asked three times if he wanted almonds. One girl just went to the back and was wiping stuff down. Can we focus on that after the craziness?? The other girl was like"I'm gonna go turn the music on" again not a focus right now. Get the customers served. If I was the manager I'd watch the camera from about 8 to 830pm. The girl was more focused on going home early (the blonde one) let me tell you, my family is very Patient but we were all stressed with this visit. It was actually very painful. Jessica the store managers needs to really make sure her "A" team is working on a busy Saturday night! And I hope Jessica reads this review so she can ask the three girls what in the world they were thinking. I know this is just a snapshot in time with customer service and most of our visits have always been pleasant but this one was by far the worst I've had anywhere in a long time. Also, please tell the girls to not wipe our cups on their aprons if the cup overflows. Gross!!!!! Update to Jessica's response: I'm not sure you understood my review. I understand the business and I have been in there several times when it is busy. I have never had a bad experience while it was busy until last night. The team you had last night clearly did not understand how to take care of the business. They however, did understand how to goof off and act like fools. I also don't think they understand that people actually walked out due to the lack of their performance on the job. I really think you need to review the camera of their behavior. Oh, I forgot to mention that one of the girls handed another girl her glasses to clean from her shirt or apron and then wiped people's cups with them. Watch the faces on the customers that did stay. So it was a rainy Friday night, who would have thought ice cream would be so popular? We waited a looooong time before a female employee served us. It was a little disconcerting when we ordered an advertised item and she had to look at and read the recipe There were only 2 employees working and neither showed any sense of urgency in waiting on the growing line of customers. They both had unfriendly attitudes, no sense of customer service and were not a great face of Cold Stone Creamery. The next time my husband and I want ice cream, we'll head to Baskin Robbins or Dairy Queen - definitely not this Cold Stone!! We finally got our ice cream and moved to the register to pay. read more

Yesterday I stop by to buy my favorite ice cream and the girl that was attending was counting money, when she saw me she approached to me asking me what I wanted and I told her to wash her hands first and she answered very positive that there was no need because her hands used utensils to prepare the ice cream, and again I requested that if she please could wash her hands and she reluctantly wash them, I can't believe that the employees are not trained in such a simple thing as this, disappointed of this location read more

Ok, bad service mixed with good ice cream doesn't work. Sorry guys, hate to ruin your plan. I went in with my family and friends to hang out and I didn't even get a hello. Instead of a warm greeting I got to listen to Reeve tell his co worker about the Pokemon he had just caught. Must be exciting to have more Pokemon and less guests. After I got my ice cream and we all went outside, part of our group where using the chairs and table outside the shop. Maybe about 30-45 minutes before they closed the Pokemon hunter came outside and told us to remove ourselves from the table because he was taking it inside. (Maybe he needed it for more Pokemon) All in all I really do not want to go back because of the way we where treated and let's be honest, I'm paying a lot of money for ice cream, the least you can do is let us use the chairs and table. I hate to be the person to post a review like this, but it's kind of awful to want to have a fun night with family and friends and it be ruined by one person. Okay, it's going to be difficult to write a fair review considering the circumstances surrounding this visit. My husband spotted this shop after we just spent a ridiculous amount of money to buy a washer and dryer across the street. He literally careens around the corner to get there and jumps out of the car like he's on fire to "beat the band of fat people" heading in. Just as to not offend anyone, they were actually average-sized people. He refers to everyone, including himself, as "fat people" when they are indulging. After all of this, he refuses to order anything because they are out of chocolate shavings and there's "nothing else" he wants. What does he want, a beer float? Now that we can move on to the review, Cold Stone gets points for allowing you to create your own concoction of ice cream flavors and toppings. I think the ice cream is good, probably better than average. But, I didn't find the staff to be particularly friendly. And that was before the chocolate shaving incident. Oooh, Cold Stone. I love ice cream, so pretty much any place that serves up tasty ice cream and then lets you choose from an unlimited amount of toppings to put on it, is going to get at least 4 stars in my book. I can't give it 5 stars though, only the Gelato Spot gets 5 stars from me. I like to get the coffee ice cream with oreos in it. It's amazing. Or perhaps a little sweet cream with reeses peanut butter cups. Yum. It's also fun to give the staff a tip, because if you do, they will 'holler for a dollar." Try it! read more

I don't see that any real changes took place....maybe it was a health code issue.....or maybe it was financial......no one really knows. However it is back and I am personally glad to see it. Ice cream was soupy, had no flavor, and also had a chalky consistency. We ended up throwing away our ice cream.

Last Thursday, May 7th, I ordered two Chocolate Devotions (Tatum and Cactus store...Phoenix, AZ) and asked for Chocolate Shavings instead of Chocolate Chips. I was told no problem. When I arrived home, both had chips...no shavings. Tonight... Sunday, May 10, I returned and told Rory about my experience and he basically told me too bad and there was nothing he could do about it. The funny thing is, I hadn't asked for anything...I was just stating what happened to make sure it didn't happen again. Needless to say, I felt a little embarrassed. That is when Jaquelene stepped in and saved the day. She asked what happened and proceeded to make our order for us in a very pleasant manner and I left feeling much better. Night and day experience from Rory to Jaquelene...she is a great asset and Cold Stone should be thrilled to have her! read more

Honestly Luke was a 1 man show tonight. There were 2 other employees that simply walked back and forth completing basic closing duties and talking about getting everything done before they close 2 hours from now. Meanwhile Luke was helping all the customers by himself, cashing people out, apologizing for the wait and giving the best customer service he could without the help of the other 2 working. They clearly heard everything that was going on but ignored it. I love cold stone so we will be back. But I felt bad for Luke. He was a hard worker and all the employees should care like him. I gave the review and stars for him. They clearly need better staff and managers that care about customer service. Yes, I want to go into Coldstone every time I pass it. And yes, I am always very happy with anything I order. The cheesecake ice-cream with graham cracker crust and caramel. To-freaking-die-for. BUT I must say, I always feel cheated when I leave the store paying more than it costs to get 4 gallons of ice-cream....for just 3 "like it" cups of ice-cream. Yeah, that part...do NOT "like it". I guess having an 8-year old whose begging and pleading often leads to my purchase of this over-priced dessert doesn't help, but I resent Coldstone for exploiting our taste buds' desire for something cold in the middle of the desert. I miss Mr. Softee, where a cone brimming with soft-serve ice-cream (WITH sprinkles) was a mere $1.25. So for the ridiculous prices, I took away 2 stars. I LOVE Cold Stone Creamery. I've been going there since I was a freshman in college (basically, since they opened their doors). Their product is consistent, delicious, and even though it's a little pricey (for ice cream), it's worth it. However tonight, my experience at this particular location was far from stellar. I walked in about 45 minutes *before* close and was the only customer in the establishment. There were three young ladies behind the counter, one of whom I presume was the manager. Now let me preface this by saying I have had really good experiences at this location in the past; it's usually young high school-aged kids that are working behind the counter and they almost always have a lot of energy and smiles. Tonight, however, the only young woman who smiled at me was the one who actually made my ice cream, and it was obvious she was new, as it took her quite a while to make my first ice cream. This did not bother me that it took a minute, but what I did notice was that the other two young women just stood there in the background, looking down at sidework or who knows what, not helping her unless she asked for it. Neither one of them gave me eye contact until one of them rang me up. Once I paid the young woman who I think may have been the manager finally looked me in the face and said without a smile, "Have a good night." It was all very forced, and honestly, it seemed like none of them wanted to be there. I realize it's just an ice cream place, but I don't go very often and I must say that if this were my first experience ever going to a Cold Stone I probably would never go back. I asked the lady that works here if any of their ice creams had eggs because my daughter is extremely allergic. She quickly looked at their notebook and said yes almost all contain eggs- "probably"- and then gave me and my daughter a nasty look. Being that that was no help at all I looked it up online and very quickly found exactly the list I was looking for (in case you want to know, almost NONE contain eggs). I ordered my daughter her ice cream and then asked to see the notebook she was looking at. The exact list I found online was laying on top! At check-out I attempted to explain to her that this was the list she needed and when you have a kid with allergies this could mean life and death so she should be familiar with this information and know where to get it. At that she rolled her eyes again, told me I was being extremely rude, and said "fuck you get out of my store". We are now sitting here waiting for the police to arrive because this employee felt it was necessary to get them involved.... This is ludicrous. It's my job to keep my child safe and as a food establishment it's THEIR job to get me the information I need to do so. Even more agregious is the fact that when we called the store owner to tell us about the incident she only defended the employee and had the police ask us not to not come to her store. We will not. And I suggest you do not either. read more

It get the second star for the inconsistently nice service. I find Cold Stone Creamery's ice cream to be too sweet and overpriced. Whenever I order a milkshake there is way too much milk. I ask for less, it matters not... they will not shake all the milk. I wish gelato's would be more popular... :-( read more

So my boyfriend and I used to go here all the time. We used to love getting good service and great frozen treats here. The ice cream is fine however the service has really gone downhill. The last couple times we have gone here the employees have been rude, rushed us and have gypped us on ice cream size and topping amount. Lady was super rude she rolled her eyes when there was an issue over portions. I was asking a simple question and instead of a proper answer, I was given attitude. I think it was super unprofessional for the workers to yell at a paying customer. If she would have said before the issue that it would have been an extra charge then I would have understood but asking a question and getting an eye roll and mistreated was unnecessary. Went in this past weekend a tried the new caramel frappé...Delicious!!! Not too sugary and the perfect amount of coffee for a pick me up!
