I was passing through town and wanted to try a new coffee place so I stopped by Cold Smoke. I ordered the Smokey Mountain S'mores drink iced and it tasted exactly like a s'mores, and I liked how it wasn't too sweet. The whipped cream looked house made, and the drink came out quick. I got too excited and drank some before I took a picture.

My wife and I love coming to this place! We don't normally get food here just coffee but we really enjoy the seating and ambiance of the place itself making it feel very cozy! Moving into the food and drink items! I got a Large Drunken Moose which I really enjoyed and was honestly pretty good, I would say I can have maybe a little stronger taste to really define bourbon or rum (I forgot which one it says it tastes like) in it! My wife got the blended Cool Bean, it was good and of course sweet, but do know that the blended Cool Bean and the Cool Bean Drink do taste different, I personally enjoy it just plain, not blended. Last up we had the Oreo Dream Bar! Not gonna lie it was amazing to say the least, very rich, creamy, and cakey! I will say that it is good for two people because of how rich the flavor is but it was perfect for us! My only downfall with this place is the customer service. I'm not trying to be an a-hole or sound peppy but you'd think that if there isn't really anyone in the place that the people behind the counter would at least greet you walking in, instead of all starring at you. Just gives me a weird vibe to be honest. Most of the girls behind the counter as well always give my wife and I both attitude for 0 reason when we are always nice and always tip, just makes it unejoyable and uncomfortable. We are unable to come back to here unfortunately because we moved but hopefully other people get to experience it as well!

3.0 Stars Location Overview: You can find this hipster coffee shop/Cafe on Knickerbocker and Commerce St in the same building as Smoothie King and Jason's Deli. Love the easthitcs on the inside. Definitely a vibe. Pretty roomie and enough seating. Customer Service: Customer service is good in the sense of staff is nice. But customer service is terrible.. as they hate each other and are rude to one another.... it's very awkward the few times of come here and have noticed this.. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the drinks and food I've had has been pretty good. I like variety of drinks to try and they definitely have this covered for the quality. I just am not for the sizes here.. a medium size here is easily comparable to a small sized drink at any other coffee place and still costs $8. Side Notes: It's a cool vibe and if your not too serious about rations.

A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

The coffee options are plentiful and they do their own take on both custom and traditional coffee drinks. You will find all your caffeine needs here. They also have a good menu. I know you know yesterday was Valentine's Day, and it's a good day to take your "Better Half" (and…read moreyou know that's true) out for Dinner at one of her favorite places. "The Grill". That also sounds really good to me. We know The Grill will be busy, especially since Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, so we left earlier than normal. Arrived, and a good number of cars were parked all around. Walked in, and the place is packed, with every bar stool and table taken. The Hostess said it will only be a few minutes for your table. In a couple of minutes, a table was available. After we were seated, more people arrived, but they also only had to wait a couple of minutes. The Grill has two bartenders working along with several servers, and a couple of employees cleaning up the tables when they become available. Our Server is Sophia, and she took our drink order. Two Jack-N-Cokes and waters. While we waited for our drinks, we looked over the menu. We kind of already know what we are going to order, and we did. My Wife is going with one of her usuals, their "Happy Hour Nachos" ($6.50), listed as 'Roasted Pork Nachos' on the main menu. Slow Roasted Pork, Chipotle Sauce, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over lots of Fresh Chips with Green sliced Jalapenos on one side, and Red sliced Jalapenos throughout the plate. I am going with the "Baja Fish Tacos", Blackened Baja Fish with Chipotle Sauce, and pickled Slaw. Served with Guacamole, Rice, Black Beans, and double Corn Tortillas for three Tacos. We placed our order with Sophia when she served our drinks. Then we toasted to Valentine's Day, and us. The bartenders here make the Best Jack-N-Cokes around. They are really good, smoooooooth, and go down easy. While we waited for our food, The Grill became busier and busier, with more people waiting. Glad we came a little early. Sophia stopped by, as well as one of the Managers checking on us to see if we needed anything. Service here is always tops. Soon our food arrived, and my Wife's Roasted Pork Nachos were served the same as they always have been, piled up high and covering the entire plate, and I might add, very colorful. I Love the way they prepare the Baja Fish Tacos with a Huge chunk of perfectly grilled fish all by itself next to the Rice & Black Beans, a large scoop of Fresh Guacamole, and several Corn Tortillas for you to make your own, with Pickled Slaw to the side. Both dishes are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness that you will find nowhere else. The Grill does it right. My Wife's Nachos have a lot of melted cheese oozing everywhere with lots of corn chips and several pounds of Roasted Pulled Pork. Well, okay, maybe not 'pounds', but there are a lot of large chunks throughout this dish. She said it is delicious and loving that Pulled Pork. She ate about half of it and will take the rest home for a meal that will be for both of us - you get a lot of food at The Grill. I cut off a long chunk of fish, spread their Chipotle Sauce on a couple of corn tortillas, then the fish, topping it off with rice & black beans, guacamole, and their pickled slaw. This Fish Taco is Deliciousness and more. The perfectly grilled Baja Fish has lots of flavor with just enough spice from the chipotle sauce. I made three of these, each a little different, and they all were very Tastylicious. Each Taco was so filled with goodies I could not fold it over, and I ate them more like a Tostada instead. Either way, they are The Best. I also have some fish left over that I ate with the remaining sides, adding that chipotle sauce to each bite. I ate all of mine, with no leftovers to take home. While we were enjoying our food, Sophia said that she would like to take a picture of us with my camera because we are a cute couple. Hey, I couldn't disagree with that, so she did. Flattery will get you everywhere. Thank You Sophia. Well, guess what? Sophia earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm, and a nice tip. We boxed up my Wife's leftovers and headed home, and The Grill was still busy as ever when we left. This was a Great way to enjoy a Valentine's Day Dinner.

Our waitress was friendly, took our order and brought our orange juices quickly. I ordered the Western omelette w/hash browns (potato chunks) & toast and my husband opted for the breakfast burrito and coconut cream pie for desert. My husband seemed to have enjoyed his breakfast more than I mine although he didn't like the pie. My toast was buttery and there was no jelly in sight or our waitress to ask. Also, no salt & pepper or condiments on any of the tables like other restaurants. Perhaps because it's a senior citizen complex they aren't allowed to spice things up. Guessing here, perhaps government subsidized (501C3) so they are able to offer price reduced meals. The place was clean, quiet, ample seating and a nice menu selection. It seems like no time since we placed our order it was brought out to us. Me being a biscuit and sausage gravy fan I opted for that with a side of hash browns and my husband had the pancakes/eggs and sausage. We both had orange juice which tasted like fresh squeezed right off the orange tree, very, very good. My biscuits and sausage gravy is the best i've had since relocating to San Angelo back in January 2026. My hash browns, well they weren't the best as i like mine with a nice golden crisp and these were not as you can see in the picture. Next time I will ask for golden crisp hash browns and see if that makes a difference. My husband like his breakfast and I didn't hear any complaints or wishes.
