It's "El Paisano" Mexican Restaurant. Decent amount of cars here; walked in and were shown to a table. This place is not large, but also not tiny, with about a third of it filled with customers. As the plaque says on our table, it's El Paisano #21, it's actually #3, but they do have several around town. Don't know our server's name, but a few of them came over. Since they do not serve alcohol, I ordered a Diet Dr Pepper, and Nancy is having just water with lemon. While looking over the menu, they brought over their Chips with a Bean Dip topped with Gravy, served warm, and some spice. Also, their HOT Salsa, which is on the thin side, but VERY HOT (it burns your tongue), and a Red Salsa that is also Hot, but not overly so, just a slow burn. I Love that Bean dip with the Gravy. It is Awesomelylicious. After looking over the Menu, my Wife went with the "Two Soft Tacos", Beef, with Lettuce, Tomatoes & Cheese, served with Rice and Refried Beans. I am having the "Three Enchiladas", Cheese topped with Chili Gravy, Sour Cream Chicken topped with Sour Cream & Cheese, and Beef topped with Green Chili. Served with Rice and Refried Beans. Note: Don't know what our dishes are called because they do not have an up-to-date menu online or on their Facebook page. For as busy as they are, it didn't take them long to bring out our food, and both plates are served Hot with a nice presentation of each dish. My Wife's Soft Tacos are served flat with a lot of goodies piled up high. When she folded it over, the Taco was really stuffed and overflowing the top. She said they were pretty good. She liked the Rice and said that the Refried Beans were on the salty side. And for her to say that, they must be extra salty. My Three Enchiladas also looked really good and were served Hot. My Cheese Enchilada with the Classic Brown Gravy was good, with lots of Cheese, but the Classic Brown Gravy was a bit too dark for me and bit back in a way that I didn't care for. The Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada covered in their Sour Cream Sauce with Cheese was Very Tastylicious with lots of shredded Chicken inside. The Beef Enchilada topped with their Green Chile was also Very Tasty, but I have had better Green Chili on top of Enchiladas. Their Rice is also tasty, but as my Wife said, the Refried Beans are really salty. I only had a couple of bites and left the rest on the plate. Overall, El Paisano #3 (not 21) was okay, but nothing to write home about. I know, I know, I wrote about it here, and I am home, but not writing about this to home. Or something like that. This El Paisano also lacks any atmosphere. Hopefully the other 20 (oops), I mean, the other three or four around town are better. At least we tried some place that we have not been to, and we left full. They do serve Breakfast, and the pictures do look good. Our 1st clue it wasn't going to be a great experience was when our waitress brought the condiments to our table. We ordered pancakes w/eggs and bacon and a ham/cheese omelette w/hash browns, beans and toast. The butter wasn't butter it's 59% vegetable spread (see the pic below), processed cheese on the omelette and the Maple syrup wasn't actually Maple syrup. Having lived in Connecticut and Michigan we know real varieties of Maple syrup, bold, dark, light etc. On a positive note, my hash browns were prepared PERFECTLY and our breakfast was served hot. I can't recommend this place for breakfast but maybe their lunch/dinner has better options. Happy dining!

They scheduled a restaraunt full of reservations all at the same time instead of staggering them a few minutes apart each so that they could keep up with the guests orders. Our drinks took 20-30 minutes to reach the table. I will say the bartender was working hard to keep up, but he definitely needed some help. The salad came out and was good. However, when I ordered my $68 filet, I specifically asked the waiter what it came with. He told me potatoes, and I said, "Perfect." When my steak arrived, there was rice on my plate instead. If someone had simply come back to the table and told me that potatoes were not an option that night, I would have gladly chosen a different dish. It really comes down to basic communication. Our waiter was also the only server covering our side of the restaurant, and it was obvious that he needed help as well. I don't necessarily blame him for everything because he was clearly overwhelmed. What really made the experience worse was the gentleman who came out after we expressed that we didn't like the food. His attitude was essentially "too bad", and he was extremely rude and dismissive. That kind of response to a customer is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the service issues, lack of communication, food disappointment, and especially the rude attitude at the end completely ruined the experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.
