This coffee shop was cute and cozy and the guy working was kind and soft spoken, creating a peaceful atmosphere. He offered to adjust the drink sweetness to my liking and it turned out delicious! They had a bunch of pastries as well. Would probably come back here when we come back to the mountain:) I got the spiced orange mocha with less chocolate and more orange and it was really tasty!

We fell in love with Coffeebar during our stay in Northstar! Grant has an absolute passion for the company and coffee, and was such a pleasure to talk with - he even convinced us to visit the Truckee location on Tues/Wed when this location is closed. The coffee is a special blend with a light and fruity taste - we both agreed that it is the best we've ever had. They have several dairy free options for "milk" and gluten free items (we got the coffee cake muffin which was delicious). This is a cute location in Northstar Village sharing space with a realty company if you are in the market. It's quiet with a great view - definitely worth giving a try!

Fine coffee bar in a shared work space. Seemed to have less food options than other locations but the coffee is pretty good.

So, check out the menu before a visit to make sure they have what you are looking for. Pros: Yummy appetizers, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls, pho (beef was especially good), and speciality drinks. Other items too I am sure but this is what I have sampled so fat. Con: They really toasted the bread on the Bahn mi, on all times someone at our table has ordered it, it is a struggle to eat, especially for smaller mouths/ those in braces. So ask for it an adjustment- if you need it softer. They are more expensive than other options in the area.

I love their iced classic drip coffee with condensed milk (cà phê sữa đá) and the iced pandan coconut iced coffee. So far I've tried the Saigon banh mi with the classic combination hams, the baguette was crunchy and fluffy and the hams were thinly sliced paired with the classic pickled daikon and carrots, a lot of parsley and jalapenos but it wasn't the best banh mi I've ever had. I've also tried the pistachio ricotta cake which was not overly sweet. I've always loved the service here with the clean tables and cute aesthetics and friendly staff. Food and drinks comes out fairly quickly. It's a great place to get delicious coffee and try different Vietnamese food.

If I recall, parking is free after 6pm, which is when we went. Fast and friendly service! All their food items are meant to be shared. We got 4 items split between 4 adults and it was enough. Not stuffed by any means, but definitely weren't hungry after. Curds, brusselsprouts, sausage and kale mac, and meatball pizza. Other than the brusselsprouts, which were too large so that the middle of them had no flavor, the rest was bomb. Loved the other dishes so much!

We were seated at a booth in the middle of the spacious restaurant but decided on another for more privacy. We were given a bottle of water and glasses without prompting. Looks like they repurpose liquor bottles for this purpose and I like that very much! We decided on Fried Cheese Curds, Pork and Padron Pizza, and Los Olivos Pizza. They all came out quick. The cheese curds were delicious! Crispy outside and chewy inside, sweet and salty, and the dipping sauce was so tasty we asked for another. We enjoyed both pizzas too, with their flat dough. We were hungry so this hit the spot for us. We weren't able to finish all tho so we brought some leftovers back, which tasted fine cold for dinner! Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices seem reasonable for the unusual ingredients, quality, and portion. 4 stars.

Here's a recap of our dinner last night: Two of us walked in and requested a table. The place was packed. The Hostess, Larissa, worked her screen for a minute then escorted us to our table --- right next to the band and with a nice view of the bar and football game. Our waitress, Christal, was attentive and extremely nice. She made great suggestions for dinner. I had the French Onion Soup and the Beef Bourguignon. Both were delicious. The band ("Quartet minus One") played a fantastic arrangement of Miles Davis's "So What" and many other songs. But here's the interesting part: during the evening I saw Larissa (Hostess) wiping down tables to speed seating. I went to the kitchen to thank the chefs and I saw the GM, JC, cleaning dishes! These people work very, very hard to make dining a memorable experience. I give Moody's my highest recommendation!!!!!

It gets crowded at the dinner hour so reservations are recommended, but we lucked out and got a table in the speak-easy style bar. Since I was driving I had an N/A sparkling but the craft cocktails looked amazing. Everything my friend and I tried and shared was perfectly constructed and portioned. We tried the Zucchini blossoms (lightly crispy batter fried) deliciousness, the burrata salad (that had just enough burrata to taste, and none to waste). After seeing someone else get pizza on the way in we had to try it, and opted for the mushroom and asparagus pizza. It was worth the calories, but also light and crispy, and just right for two ladies to share with a few appetizers.

The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. However, we could see chefs and cooks on their phones during dinner, thanks to the open kitchen. It was way too quiet. We were given a complimentary taster for my friend's birthday. It was two shiso leaves meant to dip into three different fruit sauces and then you bite the leaves. I enjoyed it as I like fruit and shiso but my friend had a small nibble and looked like she was about to cry... About dinner, do not be fooled by the presentation. The halibut was close to overcooked as the edges were so dry. The "foraged mushrooms" were just wood ear, oyster, and shimeji mushrooms, which I could find at my local market, and they were drowning in soy sauce and sesame oil, making them extremely salty. The server was kind enough to take it off our bill. Honestly, the dish we enjoyed most was the signature bread and butter. For the price point and expectation from the brand, we were not satisfied.
