Me and my girlfriend had a really nice experience here. We shared a half pepperoni and half pepperoni sausage pizza with olives on the side and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The crust and dough were probably my favorite part. We also had a Sprite and Cherry Coke with it and the pizza was a really good size for the price. We still had leftovers to take home after only a couple slices each. The service was really nice too. Our waiter was super friendly, even though I didn't catch her name because she went on break. The restaurant itself is in a really cool area by the ski resort with a bunch of other spots around it, and the inside had a really nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd come back to. read more

If I'm anywhere near Northstar, it honestly doesn't matter what the plan was -- this will be the place I stop. Some traditions just shouldn't be messed with. Both dishes absolutely knocked it out of the park. The pizza was everything I've come to expect here -- perfectly cooked crust, loaded with toppings, and packed with flavor. The Greek salad with shrimp was just as impressive, fresh, crisp, and a great balance alongside the pizza. It's one of those meals where halfway through you're already thinking about the next time you'll be back. The service here has always been top notch. While staying at Northstar we decided to try out the pizza at the village. So glad we did! They have so many options for their pizzas and they are generous with the meat toppings. Genuinely great pizza place. I recommend the 4 Cheese and the Blanco, just my personal likes. Don't expect a bargain deal since it is located in a resort village but the quality makes up for it. Hit it if you feel the crave for good pizza after some good honest times down the slopes. read more

The calamari was ok, mozzarella sticks were interesting- not sure if they used a different cheese but it was almost too soft to be mozzarella, kind of runny? Pizza was pretty tasty. nice and crispy. Throughout the entirety of our time there we were only approached to take orders and then when we had to wave someone down for our check. It was unfortunate because we were sat super close to the bar and there were 2 employees who were just sitting on their phones who would get up occasionally to help the bartender. Fantastic dinner here. We chanced on Rubicon when in North lake Tahoe a few weeks back and had a great dinner.. we'll definitely come back again! We tried the roasted vegetables with goat cheese pizza, the Margharita pizza, pita bread appetizer platter and a salad...each dish was outstanding. It's not something I'd return for, but I'll eat it if it's available. Surprisingly, the memorable items were the pasta here! I'd gladly come back for the pasta. Handing me a cardboard box over a counter is a standard retail transaction, no different than a cashier bagging my items at a grocery store. Putting the food I paid for into a box is not a premium service; it's the bare minimum requirement of completing the sale. Second, it is the employer's responsibility to pay the kitchen staff a fair wage, not the customer's job to directly subsidize your payroll through checkout fees. If your current prices don't cover your labor costs, do what every other functional business does: raise your advertised menu prices. Using a mandatory 15% surcharge to cover your payroll because you don't want to advertise the true cost of your food is deceptive pricing. read more

Came here on Sunday evening to enjoy dinner while staying at Northstar. We ordered a cheese pizza for my grandson (picky eater). I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, my husband had a salad and our son ordered the chicken wrap. Our food came out pretty quick. Oh and I can't forget the pitcher of watermelon mojito. I enjoyed every bite of my bolognese. My husband helped me eat it, there was so much of it. My picky eater grandson almost ate the whole pizza. That was definitely a thumbs up from him. We had 3 hungry kids, and there is really only one option in the village. Fortunately, the ordering is super easy, and they text you when your pizza is ready so you can go do whatever activity you were doing and just swing by when your pizza is ready. The pizza was really good, and being hot with kids in 35 degrees is a huge bonus. Also, the crust is small, so you maximize the small nutritional value that is pizza for the kiddos. The down side of this goodness and convenience is definitely the price: $41 for a cheese pizza. I still can't believe it. When your kid requests a dish twice in a row for the two nights we stayed in North Tahoe, you know that it's that good. The first night we had to get it to go, the wait was an hour long and there is no way a kid will wait for food that long. LOVE LOVE LOVE Rubicon! Definitely a fave spot when we go to northstar. Their portions are pretty big and we always end up choosing different things and sharing. For starters, the spinach artichoke dip is so good, it comes with crisp pita bread instead of chips. One of the things we always order is the spaghetti bolognese, very flavorful and yummy. We've tried many pizzas here our favorites are the Thai curry chicken which if you like Thai curry this is for you, the blanco is a white sauce pizza, and the rubicon which is more of a specialty pizza with pepperoni and sausage. We got there at 7:11 and were told they're running behind. 15 min later they said they ran out of large pizza doughs (I mean....), but said they'd take 2 mediums. It would take 15-20 min.
