4 stars for the service! Every time I come, they are really nice and attentive. The portions are consistent, and I like that they're open year-round. The Rocker burger is my favorite item on the menu. It probably won't be the best burger you've ever had, but it hits the spot after a day skiing or hiking and the fries are well-seasoned. read more

Came here with a group of friends after a day on the slopes. They have a decent selection of items. Nothing here is worth raving about, neither the food nor the service. I was very upset about the beet salad we ordered (pictured) as the portions were an absolute joke for the price. It wouldn't hurt to add just a little bit more arugula or something....after letting my waitress know they removed it from my bill which gained them the extra star. read more

Came here for brunch during Tahoe Live and it was a pretty decent experience. The service seems a bit off cause the two tables next to us sat down after us but still somehow got their food way before us. I was about to track down our waitress to confirm that we do in fact have food coming when it finally showed up. Maybe it's just our table that's slow even when we only have 4 people. The food however once we got it was very good. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was a good portion size with perfect blend of sweetness and salt. Aside from the service, I'd say this place is a pretty solid brunch place at Palisades Tahoe. read more

4 stars for the service. Came here pretty early and before the lunch rush so we had loads of seating options at our disposal. I really liked the drink i had. Forgot the name but it was one of the spirit free ones that i added vodka to. Pretty sure it had pineapple in it. To eat i had the Rocker burger with brioche bun and a side of garlic fries. It is quite incredible how something can look so good but taste so undeniably bland and tasteless. It's almost as if you had to do it on purpose. Even the fries had zero flavor to them. We went in three different times while staying at the palisades village. Packed on Sunday and pretty empty on weekdays. We enjoyed their food. The nachos was crispy and warm. We would have loved more melted cheese and green aioli Quinoa salad was really good. The avocado was probably a day old when they cut it bc it was slightly brown. So we tossed that out. It's a warm salad. Fresh and great flavor. The burgers were good. Wanted mine medium rare but came back medium well. I didn't returned it bc I didn't want it to go to waste. We had dinner here today with my family. The wait time was extremely long -- it took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, even though we were a party of four.(2 adults and 2 kids) I ordered the Ahi tuna tacos, and about one hour after eating, I started feeling incredibly sick. I had severe diarrhea and intense stomach cramps. It was very clear that this was food poisoning. This completely ruined the evening and was honestly a terrible experience. I don't really write reviews but have to write a honest shoutout to my server Juan! I had asked for my check and to-go box to save on time since it took 40 minutes, just to take my order. He definitely made sure that I had my to go box and check before my food even arrived. Actually, my food never arrived and I ended up just heading out after an hour. I'm giving 2/5 instead of 1/5 stars bc the girls in the front checked in on me more often than Juan, which I appreciate a lot. I prob wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my friends, however. read more

Complete lack of any kind of positive vibe from our server although she did check in with us periodically. All the checking in didn't cause her to take any wrappers or used plates off the table though. She was clearly lacking any kind of formal training in the basics. Ran out of water. Pancakes were massive, had a weird texture and soaked up the syrup like a sponge. Unfortunately they were very stingy with the syrup! Over easy eggs were served over medium and over hard! Approach taken and way service is detailed on the full receipt (which one has to request to see again) suggest that this is intentional and endemic. Enterprising attorneys are encouraged to consider this a class action lawsuit opportunity. Damages to customers over last seven years likely up to 40 percent of all large tables as the initial 20 percent tip should not be given to someone who is to scam the customer. This is estimated at $7milion. More if you find this practice at other restaurants by the same owners. Simple forensic accounting of receipts with over 35 percent tip would detail damage estimate quickly. Owner benefit is happy over paid staff I expect but would be very interesting to see how service fees are distributed internally. Staff - if you know this is standard practice and management is aware consider helping an attorney go after the owners for this practice. Failing this - owners need to put on the actual bill that the customer writes the tip on the amount of the service fee that has already been charged. It is not enough to put this on the menu that the customer sees more than an hour before receiving the check or in small print on the large itemized check that is not available to customer when they sign the bill. Management might also aim to solve service that delivered napkins and silverware ten minutes after food was served. Interested attorneys and staff can Type this into chat GPT Has there been a successful lawsuit against a restaurant that indexed customers to unwittingly double the service fee? Managements "sorry for the mistake" BS expected. They can and should solve this going forward as detailed- although I do hope they are sued as an example to other bad actors in the restaurant business. read more

Service was great and the food was delicious! We split the grilled chicken sandwich with arugula pesto and the burrata--both were so good. The garlic fries were absolute perfection. Loved that the patio is dog-friendly too. We went on an off-peak summer weekend (kids had just gone back to school), so it wasn't too busy. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to! read more

Even on a holiday weekend, this place was on point - food and service! We were able to get seated right away on the afternoon of 4th of July. The place was busy but not overwhelmed. Our waiter was on point and kept refills coming and updates on our meals coming. When I ordered the nachos and was advised I wouldn't be able to finish them because they were so large, our waiter advised I save them and turn them into a yummy breakfast the next morning. Nice touch! The food was delivered to the table hot, delicious, and as promised, HUGE! The nacho appetizer could have fed 2 as an entree, even more as an appetizer. We've been coming to this spot regularly throughout the winter season, and it's become one of our favorite go-to places. The staff is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind--no matter how busy it gets (and it can get busy as folks come off the mountain!). We love visiting during the quieter times, but honestly, the team is amazing no matter when you go. Jack is an outstanding server--attentive, friendly, and always makes us feel right at home. The whole crew goes above and beyond to take great care of their guests. Food-wise, we've been working our way through the menu and have loved every single thing. The Brussels sprouts are a must--crispy and full of flavor. The fries are the perfect side, and the pancakes are absolutely massive (and delicious!). Oh, and the margaritas? Top-notch. palisades tahoe and facing funitel at the village...lunch stop after a morning ride on a busy day...able to get seating right before 12, but place is packed shortly after...the food is much better than the take-out food courts in the main lodge...also relatively the same price....kid's menu available with $15 burger, chicken tenders or grilled chicken with fries...$10 pancakes and more...for adults, a variety of burgers, salads, sandwiches and more...taking a bealt sandwich served with a side of fries $18...very good and made well...beet salad $18...adding salmon for $12...salad is tasty, but salmon is tiny and overcooked dry....definitely not worth paying extra for salmon for such a small dry piece...harvest bowl $22 also good...adding chicken $10 for a side of cubed chicken breast...adding the protein doesn't seem worth the price...the children's burgers were charred a bit too much...children complained that it tasted burnt...soda with refills $4....not the best food, but still better than the food in the main lodge...also, be prepared to wait...service is sluggish...a long to to take orders and food takes forever...$150 for lunch for 3 adults and 2 children...they may also have some "rockers" playing live music on weekend in the outdoor patio area... read more

Love Rocker. The nachos are the obvious super star here but all the food is great and there are lots of GF options. We ski at Palisades about 25 days of the ski season and have eaten here about 15 days this season. The food was all very good and was decently priced compared to the other restaurants around, but service was not good for there only being two other people seated. Apparently there was a miscommunication and no one was made aware that the host sat us, so we ended up waiting for 20 mins just for someone to bring us water. We had a tough time deciding which entree to get and settled for the beef tenderloin. It was really delicious and worth paying the extra fee to split the entree. Did I say mention this place is basic, lol? Service was good up until it was time to pay. Our server just hands us our bill and says, "are you going to pay with card?" The whole situation felt like he was rushing us out because a couple of my friends were still nibbling at their entrées. A nice, considerate server would start off by saying, "no rush but here's your bill" bla bla bla but nope, our server did not do that and it was felt.
