The Coffee Bar has been my favorite spot for years. It has such a warm, cozy environment that makes you want to stay awhile and really enjoy your time there. The coffees and teas are truly top-shelf, and the food never disappoints. It's consistently great quality and always comforting. I'll always keep coming back. This place feels like a little home away from home.
The coffee is genuinely delicious. I ordered a banana bread latte and it actually tastes like banana bread, which I loved. That said... why is a banana bread latte with oat milk $10? Definitely on the pricey side. The shop itself is very cozy with lots of natural light from the windows, comfortable seating, and music that's at adequate volume. There's plenty of seating, which is a big plus. Staff are nice and friendly, though I do wish the barista would call out the drink after the name since Michael is a common name. It was a little awkward not knowing if the drink on the counter was mine. Parking lot fills up quickly, but side street parking is available. Also, iced drinks only come in one size. I feel like for the amount I spent, it should be way bigger. Overall, great vibes and great-tasting coffee. I'd probably come back, just maybe not a lot because of the price point.

Their coffee and tea menu is full of unique flavor offerings, and I love that they take creative risks that really pay off -- think Mexican mocha with just the right amount of spice, or a delicate Lychee Rose that's floral, refreshing, and totally different from your usual go-to. It's clear they care deeply about what they serve and how people experience the space. Every visit feels curated but comfortable -- one of my favorite spots in Reno, hands down.
The way the staff described the ube latte & cucumber mint matcha latte was so on point! Ube Latte - Earthy. It was subtly sweet and had a nice hint of ube. A bit grainy towards the bottom. Cucumber Mint Matcha Latte - It taste like a garden. When you first drink it, you'll get hit with a strong refreshing cucumber mint then a slight matcha taste at the end. I never heard of a drink like this before, so it was very intriguing. But if you're looking for a strong matcha drink, this isn't it. Coffeebar has tons of indoor and outdoor seating!

The egg sandwich was also a perfect way to start the day!

This is such a favorite spot of mine. I came here late Saturday afternoon to read and have a beverage. I opted for the banana bread latte, iced. Perfectly sweet and made with care. I sat inside for a bit but the weather was too nice to pass up. They have a wonderful patio with lots of seating. I stayed here for an hour or so enjoying the last bit of autumn sunshine before it got too chilly. Staff are always so kind and go above and beyond with their food and drinks
Awesome food; the ube latte and the chorizo burrito were off the chain. I had a shot of expresso added to my ube latte to take it to the next level, and it didn't disappoint. The cashier and barista both had positive energy. The chorizo burrito was very flavorful and delicious; possibly one of the best breakfast burritos that I've ever had. Whenever I'm in Reno, this will definitely be my go-to spot for ube lattes and breakfast burritos.
The turmeric latte was delicious. Haven't had anything like it. The place is very cool and definitely a good spot for the younger generation... I feel old saying that.

There are multiple locations including a roastery. This location is located is near a residential neighborhood. I absolutely loved the drive here from downtown The ROW. The houses were so cute! I chose this place because they offer tea, coffee and matcha drinks with seasonal spring menu. Ended up getting Marzipan latte and mango lemonade. I'm a lover for Marzipan which is a variation of mazapan Mexican Candy with the nutty flavor. It does contain nuts! The drink was delicious, tastes just like candy but not too sweet. The mango lemonade was refreshing. We also got a ham and cheese croissant that was so good. They bake everything in house. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Beautiful, quiet lot and next door to 7-11. read more

Awesome spot. Had to grab coffee quickly before hitting the road. Ordered an iced latte and a hot latte. The workers were all lovely. I also love the laid-back and very organic feel to the place. also love the outdoor patio with nice seating and all the life plants that they have around. Coffee was great!!! read more

Coffeebar is a staple of the Reno community. I've been coming here since I found my love for coffee in college and it's consistently one of the best spots in Reno. The location is awesome with a large outdoor space and tons of indoor seating as well. I've never seen it slow here. It's a great place to meet a friend or bring your laptop and get some work done. The coffee is great. They have a selection of seasonal specials as well that are typically fantastic. The staff here is young, but friendly and not uppity at all as you sometimes see at more niche coffee spots. The pastries are also to die for. Chocolate croissant? Yes please! Petite desserts? Also great! It's off the beaten path, but a trip to Coffeebar is always a treat! read more
A cute and cozy ambiance to get an amazing coffee! You can sit inside or outside! It was a little chilly so we ate inside. The coffee bar offers a huge selection of teas, coffee, pastries and sandwiches! We ordered a latte with oat milk and a chai tea latte! Hands down one of the best coffee bars in Reno! My daughter and I also shared an egg sandwich with avocado as a light snack! It was delicious ! The grilled onions with the jalapeño sauce melted in our mouths! What a great spot to fuel your day! I love coming here, especially when the weather is beautiful outside. I ordered the breakfast Sando and it never disappoints. It's so fresh and the caramelized onions are fantastic! There are always specialty drinks that I want to try so I kind of just asked the barista to surprise me. This time I tried the lychee latte, and it was very subtle. It was not sweet, which I enjoyed, and it reminded me similar to a Thai tea because it was bold and refreshing as I got it iced! We also tried the Ube latte and it was absolutely beautiful! Once again, it wasn't super sweet and was a light latte that had great flavor. Would definitely recommend trying any of their specialty drinks! Also, if it's pretty nice outside, I definitely recommend hanging out on the back patio. It's so beautiful and a great vibe! read more

First Time at CoffeeBar Reno - A Bay Area Visitor's Take I'm usually in Reno once a year for a volleyball tournament, but this time I am here for a fencing competition--and decided to finally check out CoffeeBar Reno. I'm so glad I did! As someone from the Bay Area, I'm used to a high coffee standard, and CoffeeBar definitely holds its own. The vibe is relaxed yet modern, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I ordered a Cafe Mocha & Coffee and it was spot on--smooth, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. It's a great spot to unwind between matches or to just escape for a bit with a quality cup. Looking forward to making this a new Reno tradition! read more

First off the service was really nice. The girl who took our order was very sweet and welcoming. I was having a bad day and she made it better. She recommended the cinnamon oatmeal cookie and I absolutely loved it. It's a huge cookie, so I ate it for 2 days lol. The mocha wasn't very sweet. It was more like unsweetened cocoa powder which my boyfriend enjoyed. And I got an iced caramel latte with regular milk. It was ok, it also wasn't very sweet which is fine, but there was something about it that I just didn't care for. I liked the ambiance of the place and the cool artwork on the walls. I'd definitely come back for another pastry and to try a different drink. read more

This place is B.U.S.Y.!! Despite that, our food was served quickly. There was a bit of a wait on the coffee. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast here on a Saturday morning, I got a mexican mocha. It was the perfect temperature, unfortunately I enjoyed it too quickly! I also got a caprese panini, I swear they must use home grown tomatoes because they had soooo much flavor, they were so juicy and plump. Even though it was cold, we were drawn in by the outdoor seating. The wooden community table outside was so inviting, so that's where we enjoyed our morning! read more

Yelp check-in = 1 free add shot. Quality/Quantity - Okay, but maybe it's my fault. I thought they would have more pastries options. So my daughter insisted we go to another place, also... See other Yelp. But their croissants are huge! Not sure what happened to my picture... Also available: Breakfast, lunch, beer, wine, etc. I am told to try their Belgian waffles...? Next time. Atmosphere - Indoor/outdoor seating, too cold to sit outside today. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 6pm. Next to Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub. Service - Okay, really busy today. 3 (slow) customers in front of us, other customers waiting around for their orders, etc. I like your "Borrow a Cup" program. (Coffeebar in Reno- Mt. Rose) The cinnamon roll was served warm (per request), not overly sweet or drowned in icing. It was the right amount of sweet. There are small tables for two that could be shed together for as bigger group, and a large wooden table to accommodate a very big group. The music playing at this coffeebar, on this particular morning was jazzy! It was a little loud but not distracting or overpowering a conversation. The ambiance is great with high ceilings and cool artwork. They could use more plants though. There are tiny details you'll want to check out like the mosaic lion and small cups on the wall. They support coffee growers and source directly into from the farmers if possible. The coffee is great! They have items for sale at the front such as hats, ceramic mugs, tumblers, t shirts, bags, wine, and coffee. There is additional seating on the outside patios. read more

Some might think Reno is all about casinos. However, the biggest little city in the world offers a very generous coffee scene with well over two dozen locally owned and operated shops. And since they experience all four seasons, cold (and at times, snowy) winters with hot summers, you more or less get a little bit of everything. This takes me to "Coffeebar" which as multiple locations in Reno as well as Olympic (formerly 'Squaw') Valley, Truckee, and Redwood City. The location I am reviewing their Midtown Reno location. Located directly at the corner of Mt Rose St. and Landler St., this Coffeebar has been operating since early-2014. Even though they were founded in Truckee CA, (about 35 miles west of Reno) most of their roasteries are in the Reno metropolitan area. Since this was my first time trying their coffee, I decided to visit their main location which has well over 750 Yelp reviews (as of July 2023). I arrived here during the morning of Saturday 7/1/2023 at around 10:25am on what was looking like to be a very hot summer day. Parking was relatively easy to find especially in this neighborhood where it is quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle of S. Virginia St. and nearby casinos. The exterior part of the building showcases cream-colored walls with the business sign in brown directly above the main entrance. The inside though is exceptionally designed with brick walls that flow throughout complete with dark wooden floors, exposed wooden beams from the ceiling, and a hallway style area that leads from the front to the bar and eventually to the sitting area. In addition to their vast amount of coffees, espresso drinks, and teas, they offer a very generous selection of food items. This includes full-on breakfast options including a Chorizo Burrito, Veggie Burrito, Egg Sandwich, and Avocado Toast as well as lunch options including panini sandwiches, salads, even rice bowls. And of course you have your standard croissants, muffins, scones, and cookies. This is truly the type of place where you can spend hours enjoying your hot or iced beverage, have a hearty meal, and just enjoy the day. Since I was saving my appetite for lunch, I decided to go with their hot vanilla latte. Best of all, when I checked-in on the Yelp app, I was able to get an additional shot of espresso at no extra charge! Not bad since I had a very busy day ahead of me. I settled at the outside courtyard area. This area is absolutely beautiful with a few small gardens and fresh flowers and large communal-styled wooden benches. Once my latte was ready, I sipped it and immediately enjoyed how savory this was. It was a bit stronger than normal (with that extra shot) so that was a major plus. All in all, the Midtown Reno "Coffeebar" was as good as it gets and arguably a must visit if you happen to visit (or are a local to) the Reno area. They sell a ton of merchandise including coffee mugs/glasses/thermoses, t-shirts, hats, ground coffee beans, and much more. And finally, they even offer a full-on wine menu. With that said and done, I am giving the Midtown Coffeebar location a unanimous five-star rating. read more
