When I arrived there was one gentleman already standing in line frustrated with the three employees behind the counter ignoring him. I stood there for a few minutes allowing them to work, and finally one employee asked the gentleman what he needed after he had to tap his card on the counter to get their attention. That's when the man behind the counter asked me what I needed and without making any eye contact and hardly raised his head said my pick up order was ready. My husband and I visited this place for the first time yesterday. We walked in and were greeted by the owner, Eric. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman who introduced us to the menu and matched us to wonderful beverages. I ordered a cold brew with cream and lavender syrup. My husband ordered a large regular coffee and breakfast sandwich. My husband is very picky about his food and coffee and he loved it. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. Eric had a huge selection of coffee for sale, French presses, teas, and...get this classic records, lunch boxes, and artwork. He showed us some upcoming events his business was hosting and invited us personally to return. Eric is a former manager for a large coffee competitor that struck out on his own to make an experience for the customer. He is extremely knowledgeable about his products and passionate about coffee. If you are tired of the corporate crap, then you need to check this place out. He offers everything that you can find in the "big" places, but offers the ability to have a personalized experience you just can't receive in most places. It did not take long at all for this place to become my favorite coffee shop in central Phoenix. I am a bit of a coffee snob and I can't express how much I enjoy Zona coffee. Their cold brews are always on point never too bitter, and if you looking for anything sweet there is a ton of flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is Snickerdoodle. But honestly I may have came for the coffee but it's the wonderful conversation and service provided by Eric and his crew that keep me coming back. They are really good people who truly care about your coffee experience and you in general. Great little breakfast items too if you are on the go. Last thing if you use coffee shops as a second office you will always get a chill environment and never will feel unwelcome. read more

Nice hole in the wall spot. Had the iced coffee and my hubby had an iced chai. It's small and intimate. There is also a little patio outside. This is my favorite place to get coffee in Phoenix! I had ordered it a few times on Uber eats and the food and drinks were amazing (the cookie dough mind freezer actually tastes like cookie dough). When I had family visiting from out of state I told them they had to try this. I figured since I was gonna have a bigger order I should go and pick it up, I didn't want any mistakes. The actual building is kind of tucked away and took me a few minutes and one wrong turn but I eventually found it. As soon as I walked in I was in love!! The place has character, which is something lacking at places like Starbucks. Theres soft music playing, there's this inviting feeling. The owner was there and immediately we started talking. He's an awesome guy who really takes pride in his work. There's all kinds of little "extras" you can purchase here. I grabbed a few coloring books. I visited visited Coffee Zona today on as a little "business research". I found one major problem when visiting... I should have gotten a bigger coffee! I got the iced lavender sunrise I believe. It was very different but very delicious. I'm extremely picky about coffee and I heard great things about this place so I had to check it out! The owners name is Eric if I'm not mistaken and he is lovely. He helped me with my choice of coffee and explained the different flavor names. The atmosphere is very adorable.
