Delicious! Ordered a caramel and chocolate latte for pickup this morning. Coffee was tasty, still hot when I arrived. Interesting pricing ... drip coffee is same price as latte ($5 for 16oz) so definitely makes sense to get the fancy option ha! Really love on the go order availability. I pass this place all the time but never been in until now. It's a cozy little coffee and breakfast shop. They have vinyl records for sale and on display. They also have a couple of tables to sit. The menu has a pretty good variety of coffees, teas and matcha as well as breakfast items. I was particularly impressed by the horchata latte but it was an hard choice to make between that and the churro latte. No matter what you choose it's all epic. read more

Super cute coffee spot! Recently attended a bachelorette weekend and we came here for coffee/breakfast. Staff was very nice and able to push out all 6 of our orders in a timely fashion. I had one of their limited time flavors - Honey Nut Cheerio - as an americano and it was delicious. Not pictured was the sausage breakfast burrito that was so good I forgot to take a photo until I was halfway done. I ordered a medium Sunrise Espresso with almond milk and was disappointed. I didn't realize until I was already down the street heading to a sports event that the honey and vanilla completely overpowered the drink--I couldn't taste the espresso at all. On top of that, there wasn't enough ice, so the drink warmed up quickly. I wish the experience had been better. That said, the coffee shop itself is welcoming, parking can be a little tight, and the staff were very friendly. read more

I've had better coffee. The Caramel Explosion Latte was fine, but it didn't really stand out. I'm not a coffee snob by any means, but if I were making this at home, I'd opt for Monin syrup over Torani--the latter always tastes a bit synthetic and less premium. I know coffee can have a bit of bitterness when you first ingest it, but I don't usually get a lingering bitter aftertaste, and that's what I experienced here, which seemed off. This doesn't impact my rating, but I did find the social experience lacking compared to other cafés I've visited. It seems to cater more to an older crowd, which makes sense given the AZ demographic, but something to consider if that's important to you. Stopped in and got some coffee to satisfy the caffeine addict in me. The menu has an interesting selection of drinks both hot and cold with various non dairy options. I decided on a 20 oz iced vanilla honey latte. Non dairy milks are no charge which is nice. The drink itself was pretty good. It had a balanced taste of sweetness and creaminess and the coffee was smooth. I like the vibe in here too. In addition to bags of coffee and T shirts they also sell vinyl records. Gotta love a place that offers a William Shatner record for sale proudly displayed on the wall! Service here seemed a bit odd. The cashier gave me a weird smirk at something I asked related to my order. Wasn't sure what to expect my first time in, but it wasn't a wall full of albums! So cool. Got to look through them while waiting on my coffee and if my record player was working I probably would have bought a couple! It was nice to have some memories of old bands and songs. We got a couple coffees - salted caramel latte and a blended toffee caramel. The regular iced salted caramel latte was very flavorful, but it was not really iced. Only a couple cubes in there and so it was more room temp than cold. Like I said it was still tasty, but would have liked it to be colder. (didn't realize until already in car or I would have asked for more ice) The blended drink was good as well. Service was pleasant and the place was cute. It is small, but enough room to sit with a couple friends to spill the tea! Looking forward to trying more coffee! read more

Cute little cafe with a sweet owner named Eric! There's 2-3 tables inside, so space is limited. I got the sunrise latte, which has a sweet taste (has honey), and really enjoyed it. My husband got the pistachio dark chocolate latte, and he said he wished it had more pistachio flavor, as he didn't taste it at all. It wasn't his style, unfortunately. However, we also got the apple muffin, and it was delicious! Eric even threw in a free one for us, which I appreciated. There's also a corner of records to look through. Great thing is that their WiFi is fast, so I was able to work a bit. read more

I was there for about 45 min with my well trained dog catching up with a friend. The owner asked if we were staying long because he wanted his dog to come inside (as he should, it's hot) and I said yes but my dog is friendly! He said his is not so he will tie him up away from us.... I felt uncomfortable for the dogs so we left. I'm not normally one to leave reviews but if your dog isn't friendly, I wouldn't bring it a business that invites dogs. read more

I'm in the area taking my dogs to groomer so I looked up local coffee shops and so glad I found this place! It's such a cute little spot! It's hidden in a plaza so keep a look out for the flag on the sidewalk and the blue building or you might miss it! Love the vibe in here. So chill. They have vinyl for sale in the front, a cute little counter, a few tables inside and a side patio. Staff is super friendly and helpful as I tried to pick out something to eat and drink. I ordered a London Fog (not on the menu but they were able to make it for me) and Keto chaffle with egg, cheese and spinach. The tea was great and not too sweet and the cheese was nice and melted on the chaffle and everything tastes fresh. I will Donnelly make this my spot when I drive up here for the groomer!! read more

Exploring local coffee shops and hunting for that one place that has energy, good beans, great baristas and a relaxing vibe has been a quest of mine since moving to AZ 10 yrs ago. There's lots of choice out there, in what is an increasingly competitive marketplace. So the little things can matter a great deal in attempting to garner your repeat business. Listen, Coffee Zona is local coffee shop with identity, interesting drinks on the menu, locally sourced inventory, interesting decor, the right level of music, and a mish mash of seating depending on your creature comforts. So my first impression was good; but then it just fell away. Personally, I always order americanos. It's a basic drink that any barista with a good machine can churn out. My drink had no crema, and zero taste - it was 16oz of caffeinated blandness, and was disappointing. I had sat close to the bar because I wanted some food too, but wanted to better assess my options. So while I'm sipping my blandness, deliberating, all I can hear is the staff's personal chit chat - It wasn't offensive, and I'm not a snob, but I really don't want to hear about your personal relationships and gripes while I'm trying to relax - for the whole time I was there. I also noticed other customers were greeeted enthusiastically and offered a punch card for being first timers - I'd never been in before - no punch card, no nothing; did my face not fit? Didn't order any food as my trust had gone at the point, and I just felt uncomfortable just being present. And that's it. Make this your new coffee spot! It's local, it's cozy and cute , the owner is kind and inviting , and the prices are dollars cheaper then elsewhere. I get a medium matcha latte with oat milk iced. You can actually taste the matcha , it isn't sweetened unless you ask , and it doesn't taste like iced milk like you'll find else where'. The ice to drink ratio is and It's only $3.75 for this drink! Very, very average. I got the latte. Their description of the drink includes two shots of espresso. I like my coffee strong, so I added an extra shot. What I got was brown milk. Tasted barely like latte; my home-brewed coffee was stronger. Cute!! We had some trouble finding this place, it's sort of tucked away, we drove past it twice and didn't even notice it! The baristas recommend we try a mix of the hibiscus and black teas, so that is what we got. It was ready so fast. It was very tasty and we appreciated the recommendation. "Patio" was so dirty and looked like a park bench in a rough neighborhood. We wanted to try a different place from our usuals like cafecito and bardenas and I felt so guilty for recommending it after we left. Just fell flat. What a great local joint! They have signature drinks: Sunrise Latte (Vanilla Latte), Chocolate Bon Bon, White Zombie (White Chocolate), and Caramel Explosion. On their website they also have seasonal drinks listed like their Snickerdoodle Latte and the Apple Chai Cider. The barista was very nice and friendly. One of the best local cafes in central Phoenix! You have to know where you're going and keep a close eye on the location, because it's easy to miss. Best way to catch it is turn west on to colter off 7th st and it's just north of there. Owner and baristas are unbelievably friendly. They have great seasonal flavors that are rotated, but their regular offerings are just as delicious. Come fall time, try the maple scone. You won't regret it! This coffee shop is easy to miss if you are cruising down the street and not paying attention as it has a very narrow store front. Parking will be tricky if there are already a bunch of people in the restaurant. However, they do have a place to park your car right outside the front door. When we were there laid back jazz music was playing in the background. The owner knew all about his coffee and served up our coffees exactly as specified. I love this little gem! It's truly one of the best coffee spots around. It's warm and comfy from the moment you walk in. I'm sure that's because of the swanky décor, the smooth sounds from the speakers, the ambiance and of course the manager/owner Eric. When I walked into Coffee Zona, Eric was a the register assisting someone else. He stopped, spoke, said Welcome and continued with the customer at the register. While I waited I browsed the vinyl collection. Holy smokes! There were plenty of favs, lot so solid options. Bob Marley, Nina Simone, Miles Davis. They even had the Black Panther Soundtrack ... how cool When it was my turn to order I explained it was my first time visiting, I found this place pm Yelp while leaving Fantasia's Crystals and what's the most favored items on the menu. I was told the Sunrise Latte and the Lavender Vanilla Latte are amongst the most popular. I went with the lavender latte because I'm tam lavender all things. We sparked up quite the convo, Eric's so easy to talk to. Before finishing my order he says .... I'm Eric what's your name? I said Eric, I'm Erica and I'm so glad I stopped in here today. It was such a lovely new experience. If my memory serves me correctly there's only 2 or 3 tables on the inside and they're on different sides of the store so you're nowhere near anyone should you choose to stop in now during Covid. No outside seating. I plan to return on my next work from home day to enjoy another Lavender vanilla Latte and smooth jams while teleworking. Local Coffee Shops rocks so damn much! This is a new coffee shop just north of Camelback on 7th Street with a super cute logo and name (think Arizona). You'll know that you are in the right spot when you see the cute donkey statue by the front door. Not sure what the store was previously, but Coffee Zona's owner has made good use of the space as you'll find various configurations for conversations, plus tables to do work (if you need to), and strong wi-fi. There's a pastry cabinet, and of course, I tried a scone (raspberry, but there was a blueberry one too), which was good. I'm definitely a fan of the espresso (had an Americano), which wasn't bitter at all. Great place to have a conversation with friends over coffee! read more

Coffee Zona is an adorable new coffee shop! I had the Sunrise Latte (honey and vanilla) with half-pumps and it was perfect - not too sweet but extremely relaxing. The unique drinks on the menu reminded me a little of The Refuge, another coffee shop I like in town. The atmosphere is chill and friendly, and the Arizona decor is great (cool cactus paintings, donkey in front of the shop). The set-up is very simple but comfortable, and I could definitely see myself curling up with my laptop to work for a couple of hours at one of the tables. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other drinks on the menu! read more

Decent charming little spot. I honestly stop by here more often than not because on the weekend, other local coffee shops are packed and lines are unreasonable. Never had a problem here (for better or for worse). Decent coffee, the Americano is my go to, usually don't care for the specialty or sweet stuff. Staff is always friendly, attentive, quick, and reliable. Menu seems pretty decent for the size of the place and believe it or not they serve breakfast (yet to try). It's an indulgence for me on the weekends to get coffee from places other than salad n go's cheap $1.25 cold brew. The inside can be a little awkward depending on your personality because it's pretty small (not cramped, you're not elbowing anyone). They have a small outdoor patio that I'll check out once the weather agrees with it. read more
