I love coming to Zia. I've never been to the Bethany home. I used to go when it was on Camelback. So since I was in the area, I had to go check it out. You can't go to Zia without buying something of course I love looking at their books. They always have some great deals. My husband usually goes for the records and my kids look at everything. They have a really good mango section. Definitely good value and the service is always great.

Very terrible customer service. I bought 2 pairs of pants, after purchasing I wanted to play the claw machine but I set off the alarm with the pants I just bought. So the store manager made me walk through the alarm sensor TWICE very rude and disrespectful. Assuming I had stole! I just spent my money here, I will never be back.

This location is not in a highly desirable area and I am under the influence that they are moving or will be moving to a new location in the near future. Zia records is a staple to Phoenix, Arizona. Zia used to be known as the place to get every throwback piece of vinyl as well as movies. They have now moved into a space where they also offer to buy and sell new and used records, CD's, DVD's, Blue-rays, Movies, Various Games, Consoles, Vinyl, Clothing, Books, Backpacks, Incense, Toys, Action Figures, and other silly random products for the inner nerd in each of us. This location is extremely filthy so don't be surprised if you happen to slip on crumbs on the floor or opened snacks. (Like I mentioned in an unpleasant environment). There are plenty of transients outside the area, but they hardly bother the locals. If you're not used to seeing random folks do the most awkward and random things, you won't be shocked. Either way, Zia is the place to be for every throw-back you'd ever want. Highly recommended for the geeks, nerds, music buffs, hippies, tough cookies and gamers.

I recently bought a PSP from one Zia Records location that was labeled as "tested" and "working."…read moreBy the time I got home and tested it properly, the original store had already closed, so I went to another open Zia location nearby for help. After testing the PSP, I found that the analog stick and HOME button do not work at all. These are major controls, so the system clearly was not fully tested before being sold. When I explained the issue at the other location, I was only offered store credit or told I could keep it. I ask if it would be possible to do a partial refund or price adjustment since I was willing to repair it myself, but they refused. I also asked if I returned it, they would at least mark the PSP's price down they said no i also asked if they would label it as having joystick issues before reselling it, and I was told no. What frustrated me most was the attitude during the interaction. The employee was dismissive and laughed while talking to me instead of trying to help resolve the issue. I understand retro electronics can have problems sometimes, but if a console is sold as "tested" and "working," basic controls like the analog stick and HOME button should function properly. I'd recommend buyers fully test used consoles before leaving the store. worker had glasses and a hat working at the counter

The In Groove -- A Place That Respects the Music…read more There are record stores, and then there are places that understand what this hobby is really about. The In Groove is the latter. From the moment you walk in, there's a sense of order and intention. The space is clean, organized, and easy to navigate--something that might seem simple on the surface, but in reality reflects a deeper respect for both the music and the people searching for it. You're not digging through chaos. You're exploring a collection that feels cared for. As you move through the bins, that feeling continues. The records aren't just stocked--they're curated. There's a quiet confidence in knowing that what you're flipping through has been chosen, not just accumulated. For someone who values condition, pressings, and the integrity of the music, that matters. It turns browsing into something more deliberate, more enjoyable, and ultimately more rewarding. Along one wall sits a collection of vintage audio gear--amplifiers, receivers, pieces of history that remind you this hobby doesn't end with the record itself. It's about the entire chain--the system, the room, the experience. Seeing those components in that setting connects everything together. Music isn't just something you own. It's something you build around. What stands out most is how easy it is to slow down here. There's no pressure, no rush--just the quiet rhythm of discovery. You find yourself taking your time, paying attention, and reconnecting with why you got into this in the first place. The In Groove isn't just a place to buy records. It's a place that respects the process of listening. And that makes all the difference
