No one in the store is signed on a major label which means the music is raw and has no filters, it's pure talent. The prices are fair for the CDs and there's usually a deal going. The music is kind of loud, especially since there is the radio and the TV has videos playing. I heard that they're planning on getting headphones for the TV though. The customer service is great, very helpful and friendly. As an artist trying to put music in the store it's a great way to get your name out there, but as a customer trying to buy some CDs there isn't much variety. There is only rap and hip-hop. I mainly listen to rock so I wasn't that interested in buying a CD. I talk to the guy behind the desk and he told me they're working on getting rock but the artists/bands need to come in and put their stuff in there. It's a great location by the way. It's right next door to a hookah lounge, there's a bar in the plaza too. Nice hang out area. It's right off of the light rail and super close to ASU. Very cool place.

Everyone I interacted with was nice (trade counter & cashier I dealt with). Missing star is because one of the cashiers let some other lady cut in front of the line of people. I should have been next. I believe she didn't see that there was a line. The cashier should have sent her to the back of the line instead of ringing her up. The two other ladies she was with walked to the back of the line. Other than that, I walked away with 3 DVDs for no money out of pocket because I found some cassettes that I am no longer able to play.

Either way, it's a comfort to have my own movie library. Zia Records recently helped me expand my collection. The store is overflowing with racks, stacks, bins and bookcases of movies, books, games, records, CDs and more. It's a little overwhelming, but I found almost everything I wanted. And I signed up for the free loyalty program when I checked out. The cashier didn't clearly explain how you accumulate rewards, but I'm willing to trust the process. The big thing is they said they don't sell your info to third parties; I did ask before agreeing to participate. As for value, I spent $15 on two pre-owned BluRay movies. I was satisfied with the prices. It was less expensive than an online site. The only reason this isn't a five-star review is because I think the store could be better organized. The sale bins aren't alphabetized, so searching for something specific would be very time consuming. The movies on the shelves are alphabetized, but some were in the wrong sections. I love the concept of this secondhand store. It's so good for consumers and the environment to repurpose and recycle. I recommend a visit and I know I'll be back. Thanks, Zia.

This Barnes & Noble's has everything in it - a full café and magazine area near the front, restrooms towards the back for customers, toy and Lego section, manga and anime section, vinyl and DVDs from around the world, a full separate section for children, and the normal large selection of books and book products. I have a Barnes & Noble's premium membership so I like to check out the stores to see if there are any good books or deals. I get an automatic price reduction was a member. Today I bought some paper maps because I realized we had no updated maps in our car or house. I found those in the local interest area that also had a lot of cool books about Arizona. There's a center kiosk with a clerk if you have any questions about books as well as employees, walking the store and at the front register.

I recently bought a PSP from one Zia Records location that was labeled as "tested" and "working."…read moreBy the time I got home and tested it properly, the original store had already closed, so I went to another open Zia location nearby for help. After testing the PSP, I found that the analog stick and HOME button do not work at all. These are major controls, so the system clearly was not fully tested before being sold. When I explained the issue at the other location, I was only offered store credit or told I could keep it. I ask if it would be possible to do a partial refund or price adjustment since I was willing to repair it myself, but they refused. I also asked if I returned it, they would at least mark the PSP's price down they said no i also asked if they would label it as having joystick issues before reselling it, and I was told no. What frustrated me most was the attitude during the interaction. The employee was dismissive and laughed while talking to me instead of trying to help resolve the issue. I understand retro electronics can have problems sometimes, but if a console is sold as "tested" and "working," basic controls like the analog stick and HOME button should function properly. I'd recommend buyers fully test used consoles before leaving the store. worker had glasses and a hat working at the counter
