Decent charming little spot. I honestly stop by here more often than not because on the weekend, other local coffee shops are packed and lines are unreasonable. Never had a problem here (for better or for worse). Decent coffee, the Americano is my go to, usually don't care for the specialty or sweet stuff. Staff is always friendly, attentive, quick, and reliable. Menu seems pretty decent for the size of the place and believe it or not they serve breakfast (yet to try). It's an indulgence for me on the weekends to get coffee from places other than salad n go's cheap $1.25 cold brew. The inside can be a little awkward depending on your personality because it's pretty small (not cramped, you're not elbowing anyone). They have a small outdoor patio that I'll check out once the weather agrees with it. read more

In the early days of the CoronaPaniniApocalypse, my coffee maker died. It was very sad, replacements were hard to find. Coffee Zona and UberEats basically kept me functional. The coffee is soo good, and reasonably priced. Then, one day I tried a Breakfast Croissant sandwich. And then the muffins, then the breakfast burrito, then the waffles, then the Danish variations. You see what's happened I think... I've never actually been into the location, and everything was delivered which makes their track record extra impressive to me. (Just sayin - they were guaranteed to not *see* the cranky customer or have to remake anything). Oh! and...their packaging is super recycle friendly! Long story short Coffee Zona is the best! I've never had anything I disliked, nor has any item been "off" in any way. At this point, I have to WILL myself to NOT order daily. And lately, my to-go bags have a handwritten thank you on them. :) read more

I have had the opportunity to try their coffee a couple of times now. I rarely pull a different item from the menu, and I like all that I have tried thus far. But that is the case with them. Found this hidden gem recently! It is such an adorable coffee shop! They have unique drinks, such as the Lotus (an energy drink), and they have many flavors. The pastries are very tasty! This place is absolutely adorable! With a burrito the size of my forearm and Mocha Roca coffee I am set for the morning! The staff is super sweet and the atmosphere is chill. Sanitizer and to go available as well as a eclectic selection of records for purchase. I wish I had seen Ruby's review below before visiting for the first time this morning. I felt disdained by the old man that actually approached me by saying "do you have any questions?" to take my order. After I told him the latte I wanted, I asked him what kind of milk they had, and he only said 2% milk as if that's all they had, then I asked what other kinds of milk they had, and he answered in a curt way "what milk do you want?", at that point I felt unwelcomed because he showed me an attitude as if I had asked a stupid question, I then had to be firm by repeating my original question, but saw how rude his gestures looked and asked him if he had any nut milk. That's when he decided to answer my question by listing all the types of milk they have. A simple question shouldn't make a patron feel so uncomfortable. I also just noticed this bitter man is the owner, and other reviews here show a pattern of discrimination against people that are not white and I sensed he began behaving aggressively when he noticed my accent. This is a Phoenix gem! I stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall when I was in need of a caffeine kick midday. I walked in and there were a few people enjoying their coffee and company. The owner was so nice and informative. After surveying the options, I ordered a cold brew and a banana nut coffee cake. The cold brew was amazing! It was not bitter and had a smooth texture! I was thoroughly impressed with the banana nut coffee cake- it was warmed and had great flavor- almost more like banana bread! Overall, it was so enjoyable, I wish I lived closer and could frequent this place! The owner seemed to know a lot of the people there, asking about their families and such, and made it feel so homey. I'll be back when I'm in the area and will recommend to my friends that live and work closer! read more

I had this spot bookmarked since it popped up as a "Hot and New" not too long ago. I ended up here on a Sunday afternoon when the other 2 shops I frequent were way too busy. This place has plenty of spread out seating & space to relax or work. WiFi was really fast! The owner was friendly & easy to talk to. AND, the drink & dessert I got were delicious! It's rare that I'm compelled to write a negative review, but this place? ... Whoa. For a place called Coffee Zona, the bean juice is remarkably bad. Like, toss it down your kitchen sink bad. Like, if you drink the whole iced coffee, you're liable to regret it for the next three days bad. What a lovely coffee shop. Kudos to Eric, the owner. He is warm, friendly, and so knowledgeable about coffee! I asked him about the difference between a hot and iced latte, and he started telling me about what I would experience with each one... I loved that! I ordered an iced Sunrise Latte, which had the bold taste of coffee tempered with the sweetness of vanilla and honey. One of the highlights of my visit, besides the coffee, was the music. I was watching Eric craft my drink while listening to the cool jazzy vibes of John Coltrane... It was my ideal coffee shop ambiance. I could imagine catching up with a friend here, surrounded in cute desert decor, while sipping on good coffee. Maybe a pastry or two. :) I am so happy to meet people like Eric who are informative and enthusiastic about their product (and have great taste in music!). I just stopped in fir the first time this morning. It's kinda hard to find with limited visibility when traveling south on 7th street, so keep a close eye out for it! I ordered a large skim latte. No flavor, I just wanted to taste how good the espresso was. Service was fast and friendly, and the drink was perfect for this chilly morning! Like most coffee in Phoenix, it is just ok. I was disappointed a great deal by the pastries, however which tasted like packaged pastries vs fresh/locally made. CZ was recommended by a friend. Great coffee -- I had a latte on first visit, and an iced mocha on the second -- both EXCELLENT. The owner Eric and his son Andy were both very friendly and made the drinks exactly as requested. The setting is clean and casual with tables, couches and comfortable chairs. Cute spot that's very creative. The drinks have fun names and are delicious if you like sweet. They have regular coffee and nitro as well. The caramel explosion is my favorite when I want something sugary and sweet. But my everyday go-to coffee is the cold brew or nitro. Flew in from Texas and wanted to find a local coffee shop rather than the big corporate ones! Did a search and decided on Coffee Zona. What a great decision. Driving up to the establishment we were immediately impressed with the cute signage of drink specials and the cozy tucked away outdoor seating. When we entered we were greeted Texas style! Smiles and warm welcome! We studied the menu as they offer all your basic comforts along with a good variety of smoothies and specialty drinks. My hubs got the white zombie which was a white chocolate based iced coffee. He'd loved it. I did my go to, cold brew, cream and vanilla syrup...I know basic but they nailed it. Side our plane got us in early we opted for a few bakery items and the overnight oats. Super good overnight oats filled with dried fruit, granola and nuts! Hubs got the blueberry scone..I couldn't resist the bear claw which when bright it was huge and filled with a yummy almond paste! Everything was delicious. We sat in the side patio and enjoyed the cozy corner. Highly recommend over those other big shops, go...you won't regret it! read more

This cute little spot is truly a hidden gem! (It can be slightly hard to spot) I drove past it the first time. The ambience is definitely cozy. One down side though is that the space is very limited, so on the go coffee is definitely an option. The customer service is phenomenal and the owner really cares that you are genuinely content and satisfied with what you order, which is a plus.
