It was my first time stopping by after an eye appointment and a quick Goodwill run, and I'm so glad I did! The place has such a cool vibe cute decor, chill music, and it feels like the perfect spot to sit and get some work done. The guy behind the counter was super sweet and fast with our drinks. Camila got a lemonade that was so good, Adrian had an iced chocolate milk with almond milk that he loved, and my iced caramel latte was perfectly balanced and yummy. The burrito was okay, but the chocolate croissant and cinnamon twist were definitely the stars flaky, buttery, and full of flavor. And I noticed they sell coffee beans too they smelled so good through the bag! I'll definitely be coming back to grab some once I run out.

Cute coffee shop in Matthew's that I've heard mixed reviews about so had to check it out for myself. What better time then when my coffee buddy come for college break! When we arrived there were two people there to pick up orders that had made using the online option. They have tons of fun latte options so we tried calm bean ( vanilla lavender) and nutty truffle (hazelnut, ) They have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, quiche as well as bakery items. My broke best friend had the pesto, egg and cheese and enjoyed it. We also tried the spinach artichoke quiche. Great flavor on the quiche but the crust was a little soggy. They have a few tables but also have a ton of counter seating to enjoy your beverage! Overall a pleasant visit. Items are a little pricey (think big name coffee shop). Shop was clean and well stocked with goodies. My one critique would be that they need more than one barista working as it takes a bit to get drinks. Your food comes out and then there is a wait for your drink.

    French toast muffin

This was my first time at any Coffee Republic. They made a significant improvement to the interior. This space used to be Dilworth Coffee. It feels more open now. The French toast muffin was delicious! The iced caramel latte was pretty good. My bar on coffee/caramel lattes will always be Not Just Coffee. The service was excellent when I was there. They only had one barista working, and it was pretty busy. She did a fantastic job managing all of the customers. They probably need two baristas on staff for the morning. Overall, Coffee Republic is an improvement over Dillworth Coffee, and I will be back!

The coffee didn't take long at all and their lattes were very good. Burrito was ok, but the brisket grilled cheese was great.

Good amount of seating inside (mostly 2-seaters; one larger table reserved for bigger groups). Helpful and friendly staff who were amazing with my little one. You have to try a slice of the basque cheesecake. The plain slice (with no whipped cream or fruit topping) is not overly sweet and the perfect amount of "burnt" & creamy. We also tried the madeleines, which - as the café's name suggests - were on point. And the garlic bagel is a garlic + cream cheese lover's dream. The iced dalgona latte was such a treat. Sweet with a creamy foam and topped with crunchy cookies - very well balanced and delightful to drink. The prices reflect the care and high quality of the products. Come support this amazing local spot and enjoy their unique, thoughtful offerings!

The café is decorated charmingly, with little Madeleine cookie designs stamped throughout the space. They have a small section with some gift items for sale. They also sell Madeleine cookies, of course, though we didn't get any. The service was given with genuine smiles. The prices were normal - not a deal but not over-the-top. We enjoyed our breakfast and will happily come back!

Biscuits and gravy are a southern staple and rarely have I had any that were really good, except here at Vicious Biscuit. Biscuits are their business. The most important elements are the biscuits and the gravy. Additions are many and varied, but if the basic two items are not both excellent, you will have a disappointing experience. The Vicious biscuit is the size of a hamburger bun. It is soft and there are bits of spice in the dough. These biscuits do not fall apart, but stay together and serve to soak up the wonderful sausage gravy that is poured on top of it. You can order just a biscuit with gravy for $8. And if you are timid, start here. Otherwise, there are add-ons like very good fried chicken, shrimp and grits, ham, pulled smoked pork, crab, bacon, fried shrimp. fried eggs and other combos. Super choices, so take time to study the menu which is extensive. Portions are great, very generous. I had their Vicious ($12). It was their Cheddar jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken, maple sausage gravy, cowboy candy, with maple syrup drizzle. I was hesitant as to the maple syrup, but it is just enough to give accent to the gravy, but not super sweet. Wife had Fried Green 'Maters ($9.50) which were four fried green tomatoes, their signature pimento cheese with a pickled okra garnish. She could not eat it all, so I helped finish off the lone tomato and a bit of the cheese. Very good. Vicious Biscuit is more that a meal, it is an experience, even a journey, through this traditional southern staple, biscuits and gravy. Enjoy the trip. We might see you there.
