I only wanted to get a couple items anyway so it works ;-) choco chip cookery are medium-large, well chipped, but light for their weight and not so fluffy, pairing well with coldy cold 2% milk (genuine simulated banana flavor if you can score some...) lemon bars are dense, wet, sticky, sweet, and lemon. what were you expecting? these are convenient portions for halving when served with your favorite mule. the apres-deluvian covenant cake was refreshing in its simplicity: chocolatey goodness over layers of otherwise indistinguishable pink, white, and green cakery. so light, so basic, so good with strong black tea. no indoor seating but this is a bakery review (also: most of the rest of the planet is available for a modest fee so maybe try there?)

They are open on Sundays which is hard to find in NC. They are friendly and accommodating. My son asked for napoleons as his birthday cake, so the lovely lady wrote on it for me which I appreciated very much. I always say I wish they were closer, but I probably would be in weekly if they were. Nice spot in Plaza Midwood so I don't mind coming here. Great Italian bakery.

The place was packed, the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and the customers were growing impatient waiting for their orders. We got in line and waited to place our order wondering if we made a mistake. It wasn't a very long wait until we were ablet to place our orders and even though Andy's was as busy as it was, the gentleman that took our order was really nice and patient. Long story but in the end that same gentleman singlehandedly finished taking orders, jumped into the back and caught all of the walk up orders up by hustling back and forth. There were three people working the drive thru and he, alone, was taking orders and filling them. I wish I had his name to give him the proper props. There was a long wait but given the hustle of this one employee I was okay with the wait. I ordered the triple chocolate concrete. They were out of cookie dough so I substituted for brownie. Overall it was a good choice for chocolate lovers. The ice cream is very smooth and their is not shortage of cookie dough or chocolate chips. Overall, a great place for a twist on ice cream. Great location and I will say this could have been a horrible experience had it not been for that one employee.

A staff member was using the meat slicer and, while wearing gloves, took out his personal phone to answer a call. While on the phone continued to handle the food. After finishing his call, he proceeded to served samples to customers while still wearing the same gloves that had touched the meat and his phone. I asked about speaking to the manager because I wanted to address the concern, but I was surprised to find out that the person involved was the manager. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this felt vary unprofessional and unsanitary, especially from someone in a leadership position. I have been coming here for several years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and experience. Unfortunately, I have noticed a change over time, and it feels like that shift started when the current manager began taking more control and changing things. It is disappointing to see a place I have supported for years move in a direction that feels less welcoming and less focused on the standards that originally made it a place I wanted to return to. I hope the business takes this feedback seriously and reinforces proper food handling practices with the staff.
