I came for the grand opening and boy was it crowded. It was later in the day so I can only imagine how busy it was when they opened in the AM. I waited for about 25 minutes. They had menus waiting so you could figure out what you wanted in advance. I wanted an affogato but I was informed they don't do them to go. I was disappointed, but I had to pivot quickly and went for the Goldie. It didn't take very long to come up. I'm not sure if I had the right drink. The color didn't indicate turmeric. It did not taste of tumeric at all, just cinnamon and a lot of sugar. Not my favorite. *Beware if you bring kids here it's very pink (which they may love) and everything is branded with the word b!tch (which you may not). You order at the counter then take your number to any available seat and food will be delivered there, but you pick up your drinks at the bar when your name is called. For a newly opened BUSY restaurant, we did not wait long for our order and our food arrived hot and fresh. I think it really helped that they have a lot of staff to keep things flowing efficiently. Food 5/5 -Bananarama $8, brown sugar espresso latte with banana cream top, LOVED it. The banana cream top was not overwhelming at all but fragrant, subtle enough that you can keep taking sips and don't feel like you're drowning in sugar. Perfect dose of caffeine if you're not looking to feel jittery all day. I would love to try this again with their matcha option. -Thicky thicc $6, iced americano with vanilla cream, the vanilla cream is so yum and creamy and overall they just have really good quality espresso. It's deep and strong just like how I prefer it, get this if you want to get everything on your to-do list done in one day. -Devilish eggs $9, deviled eggs topped with crispy bacon bits, no notes on the taste except that it's definitely overpriced for 2 whole eggs. -Le omelette $16, decent portion size and had a nice balance with the side arugula salad, omelette is fresh and delicious, I was not crazy impressed but I would get it again. -Double disco $21, this is definitely something I would come here for alone. The pancakes are truly enormous, in the best way. Slightly crispy on the outside, and very soft fluffy HOT on the inside, syrupy and buttery pancake heaven. I would've preferred the syrup on the side because they are so big and I couldn't eat them fast enough before the bottom pancake gets completely soaked and soggy by the syrup, but that's only my personal preference. Overall this is the crowd pleaser for sure! Ambiance 5/5 -The retro decor is definitely the highlight here, everything is right aesthetically, cute cafe to catch up while having food and drinks. Finally!!! A Coffee Dose close to home!! Went opening day and loved it! They were offering waters to the guest in line. Friendly staff at the counter taking orders. The music was just right and playing fun music. I got to meet the owner and she was awesome! So nice and outgoing. Came here unexpectedly on grand opening day . Line was about 15 min to order . That was fine got my banana Rama about 5 min after I ordered which was fast . Decor so cute staff so friendly. Here's where I have to say I will not be returning for food here waited 55 min for a breakfast sandwich while people who sat down 30 min after me got their food at the 30 min mark I asked one of the staff they said mine was up next 20 min later right before I was about to walk out I got a the sandwich nothing special . I was so excited to see a location open in the San Diego area! I've been to a few of their other locations, and this new Encinitas spot definitely didn't disappoint. I ordered the Valley Girl with espresso, and it was absolutely incredible! The cold foam actually tasted like marshmallow, which is rare--so many other coffee shops miss the mark on that. For food, I got the McMelty and split the pancakes. Both were good, but the pancakes absolutely blew me away! Even though it was a busy Sunday morning, the staff was incredibly friendly. Visited Coffee Dose today and had a great time! I believe it's their 2nd week being opened but the wait was reasonable for being so new and popular. There was about 15 people in line and one person at the register taking orders. Line moved at a reasonable pace. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You could see the employees working at stations/everyone moving. Things flowing. Drinks came out first and food was out within 10-15 min. I was extremely impressed with the food. I ordered steaks and eggs. I didn't get a chance to take a picture. But damn, that steak was just medium well! Delicious! The bananarama espresso was great! My daughters had the crispy bird, I think that's what it's called. They couldn't finish it and brought leftovers home. Excellent service! Amazing food! read more

This place blew us away this morning! There was a line but it moved very quickly. Ordering at the counter was a breeze, the staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor is so adorable and the theme, bitches everywhere unite, is absolutely perfect and not overdone. Their merch is also super cute, mugs, key chains, etc. The menu is good sized with lots of options including food for kids and there are plenty of tables available inside and out as well as ample bar seating which is also, yes, freaking adorable. We wanted to try one of everything but settled on the grilled cheese bites -- literal heaven on a plate, sweet onions, salty toasted sour dough, to die for melty cheese and the tomato soup must have some sort of magic in it -- and the chi chi burrito -- I don't know how this chef made eggs that literally melt in your mouth, again, magic. And don't pass on their hot sauce!! Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing and we vow to go through the entire menu this summer. We also ordered a regular matcha latte with oat milk and their house made vanilla bean syrup -- perfectly sweetened and delicious, definitely my new go to matcha place in Encinitas. And I can't say enough about the staff!! We truly left this place feeling light and joyful and well taken care of. Took the Fi Fi to brunch on a Saturday at 11 am. Long line was not worth the wait or price. 5 stars to the vibe they put off, felt like Disneyland ride eatery. Also 5 stars to the service since they took back my over saturated pancake & brought me another with the syrup and sugar sauce on the side. With that said, this place is straight diabetes in the future if you come here more than once. We both feel sick driving home right now to brush our teeth. I originally wanted to wait to write a review so that i could also honestly review the food as well, however today i stopped in at around 12pm (its a saturday), and it was jammed packed and i was really bummed. however after a few hours at the beach i decided to swing by to see if they were still open. I arrived at 4:47 and the workers were so so accommodating! usually at establishments you can tell that they are irritated when you come in so close to closing, however these workers (specifically Emily and Caroline) were such dolls. when i tell you i felt like i was catching up with a friend i mean it! they were so so kind and sweet. Overall, the vibes were amazing, interior is BEAUTIFUL, and the workers all have the most pleasant smiles and personalities!! will 100% be making a trip back up to visit (at a hopefully less busy time)!! read more

I got a McMelty and guys....you are better off getting a 7 dollar sausage and cheese sandwich from Starbucks than buying this sandwich that was 12 dollars that had no flavor! I was glad to see a new coffee place on this side of town. I realized pretty quickly I'm not their target audience, but even with that in mind I was still massively disappointed. I ordered a melt. It was somehow both dry and greasy. It tasted like a Sysco patty but cost much more than it should have. The coffee was fine, but not good. Definitely overpriced. More than anything, the interior felt tacky and thin. Like a money grabbing veneer for the terminally online. Overall the vibe was just off.
