On the patio overlooking the course.

Didn't want to go out so we tried the littler Lounge. Place was nice slightly upscale but not pretentious. Menu was simple but covered most of the dining needs. I must say though everything was executed to perfection, everything was beyond good. Simple things done correctly, considering the price point the place was cheap considering how quality the food was. Recently been to restaurants charging three times as much and the food wasn't nearly as good. The wait staff was great and attentive especially Gwen!

Awful food! It has never been good. Such a shame they are spending so much money on renovations and the food sucks!

Located into the Hilton Del Mar is this restaurant. During my stay I did get some drinks and tacos…read morehere. Both were pretty good. My items did take some time to come out but both were good. I had their spicy mango margarita which was enjoyable. My tacos were also flavored well. The inside is small but they have a cute bar. The staff also is pretty nice. It's a decent place to eat and drink if you are staying at the hotel.

We recently dined at Coastal Kitchen inside the Hilton San Diego Del Mar for the first time, as we…read morewere staying at the Hilton and decided to give it a try after checking out their dinner menu. As we entered for dinner around 6 pm, the hostess told us to sit anywhere we liked. Our waitress, Eva, and the server were very nice and attentive to our needs. Here's what we ordered: 1. **Crispy Calamari** - Really hot and crispy, perfect with the lemon aioli. 4.5/5 2. **Wagyu Cheeseburger Sliders** - Served with French fries, the flame-broiled burgers with garlic aioli were moist and paired well with the soft, tasty brioche buns. 4.4/5 3. **Herb Chicken Sandwich** - Marinated in rosemary and garlic, with provolone, spinach, and heirloom tomato. Served with fries, this was a great, tasty sandwich. 4.4/5 4. **Filet Mignon** - Tender filet served with vegetables, potatoes, carrots, and mashed potatoes. Cooked perfectly. 4.5/5 5. **Charbroiled Angus Rib Eye Steak** - Tender and very tasty Angus rib eye, with distinct grill flavors. Served with mashed potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, and asparagus. The star of the show. 4.6/5 6. **House-Made Bread Pudding** - Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was moist and sweet. 4.4/5 The night was quiet initially but got busier as time passed. There was plenty of seating outside where you can enjoy the cool breeze and be close to the swimming pool. They even turned on the outdoor fire pits next to comfy couches and tables, making it a nice place to hang out after dinner. The restaurant was very clean, and our server Eva gave me a complimentary Birthday dessert, which was the perfect way to end the night. For breakfast they serve buffet $25/Person it's good but not really for me. Ordered Russian River Omelet for my wife and got to taste it for it was outstanding (4.6/5) Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Coastal Kitchen. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely. Definitely recommend for anyone staying at the Hilton San Diego Del Mar or looking for a great dining experience in the area.

Was down in Del Mar and needed to kill a few hours while my daughter was at a concert, so I decided…read moreto treat myself to a nice dinner. Had the 3 course dinner and a cocktail. The cocktail was good, but standard. In the age of craft cocktails, especially at a place with interesting food, an elevated cocktail menu would be nice. We were started with a little smoked salmon & caviar bite. I had the blue cheese soufle, which was yummy and not heavily flavored with blue cheese. Not that. That's a bad thing for me, but other folks might have an opinion. On the plate was a small salad as well. Or the entree. I had the lamb chops, which were delicious. And for dessert I had the pistachio something. Not sure what it was called but it was a little bit like a moose cake. Overall it was an excellent dinner, the facility was lovely, the service was great. My only knock was I would have hoped for some craft cocktail menu.

A disappointing evening. We ate in the bar and lounge area, which we typically enjoy. At a table…read morealong the back wall. Wine service was quick and friendly, a young lady from New Zealand, we learned that when we ordered a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, $19, and shared a few highlights of our several visits there. We tried a well-made regional Bordeaux, also $19. Other wines range from a Riesling for $17 up to a Napa Cabernet for $28 per glass. The wines arrived and then she disappeared. Perhaps a shift change? Another waitress came by about 10 minutes later to take our order. The menu includes nine starters, from salad to a blue cheese soufflé. The menu changes and contains different pasta dishes. The six entrées ranged from cheese ravioli to swordfish to rack of lamb to beef tenderloin, $80. They traditionally serve an Amuse Bouche. Tonight featured a housemade potato chip. salty and spiced, with seafood similar to smoked salmon, Crème fresh, lemon, and caviar on top. (Delicious. Sadly, this turned out to be the best part of the meal.) We've enjoyed the sushi and sashimi menu in the bar previously. The Roll menu includes lobster, ranch, market, crunchy, and others ranging in price from $24 to $35. We had to ask the server for the ingredients of the rolls she didn't have a complete list. So we went with the Tempura lobster roll topped with salmon, avocado, lemon, aïoli and dill, $35. The radiatori pasta ($35) with veal came out in about 15 minutes, and we started sharing. There was a big delay in getting the Sushi - 25 minutes. The waitress apologized and gave us a free glass of wine. There were only two other tables in the bar area being served, one person at the bar, and the main restaurant looked to be half full. The sushi chef near the front door (main kitchen is in the back) didn't look busy. Perhaps our order didn't get submitted properly? It's hard to imagine there could be such delays unless they are short-staffed on Tuesday nights. Or new staff?
