What an amazing hidden gem in Minden! I came here on 8/4 with a group of girl friends (8 of us total) and it was about a 30 minute wait for them to get a table that big together. Waitress were super helpful, kind and friendly. They were joking back and forth with us and in good spirits. Moe was very hospitable and joked right along with us. Another girl and I ordered a cold brew coffee, a couple other girls added that to their breakfast because it was so delicious and MASSIVE. All the portion sizes were also MASSIVE. I had the Traditional Eggs benedict. I have no complaints about the flavor, presentation or accompanying fruit cup. The sauce was the perfect portion for the meal and my food wasn't swimming in sauce. My one critique is that my eggs were a little too well done. I don't like my yolks completely runny, but these had absolutely no run to them. (see accompanying picture). If/when I go back, I'll definitely ask if that is standard and if so, to undercook them a bit so there's a little run to the yolk. Other than that minor detail this plaice is still 10/10. It's worth the drive out of Reno for this little gem tucked right off the main highway/street in Minden/Gardnerville. read more

My small family dinner grew into a giant party in my backyard. No way was I cooking for that many people! A friend recommended Cocos n Moes for catering. What a great choice! Ordering was easy, they kept in touch, and on the day of the event, showed up on time with everything we needed. The delicious food was plentiful, and we had a ton of compliments, especially on the brisket. I instantly started thinking, "When is the next party?" So I'd have an excuse to order again! read more

Today was not Coco & Moe's finest day. We were really excited to try this place based off the other Yelp reviews and being a cold snowy day. This location is adjacent the city's waste water treatment plant and the walk from the vehicle to the establishment's door was pungent and fragrant (not in a good way...!) once inside, the foul smell was abated and replaced with the smell of breakfast (much better..!). I ordered the pictured Cow & Sow and my wife ordered the cinnamon roll French toast. She asked for two modifications being diabetic to cut the carbs a little even though we know it's a terrible choice for a type 1 diabetic, we also need our treats every once in a while...! The mods she asked for was to bring sugar free syrup instead of regular and skip coating the French toast with powdered sugar. Simple and easy right? Nope. Breakfast was delivered and they took it upon themselves to make the French toast out of croissants (totally different than a cinnamon roll) it was not good. We feel if you're cooking someone's order, and you need to or feel you need to substitute one thing for another, you should probably give the customer the first right of refusal or at least a heads up. We had to leave in a hurry as my wife had already front loaded her insulin and we needed carbs pronto. The waitress was apologetic and comped the meal, but then some other lady came out and tried to say that they made it that way to accommodate her diabetes. Basically insinuating it was her fault and saying that's how they make the cinnamon rolls, out of croissant dough with a cinnamon mixture on the inside. That's not true unless the posted Yelp photos were from somewhere else. Pictured are a cinnamon roll which does not appear to be made from croissant dough so the real deal was they most-likely ran out and subbed the croissant. In any case, the lack of communication will not have us eager to come back anytime soon. Too bad...! I'm glad the other Yelp reviewers had a better experience. My Cow & Sow was decent but I left most of it behind as I had to get my wife some quick carbs. read more

Cute, quaint little restaurant off the beaten track. Linda, that took our order was just delightful, friendly and kept my coffee filled to the brim. My hubby and I both had the Belgian waffle with an egg and bacon, and I ordered the blueberry compote to go with mine. Delicious breakfast and the portions were very generous. Uh hello... how did I not know about Moes awesome breakfasts?? The answer to that is that he just opened this new location a couple of months ago. It's super cute - smaller than his last location (we heard). I learned about it after a FB post on a local community forum. Thank you to that person! The food is great and decently priced. I had the 2 egg breakfast and hubs had the Pancake Mistake. The scrambled eggs were perfection. I usually cringe when I ask for scrambled because they always come out like rubber. Not so here! The sausage patty also looked home made and was delish. I will definitely be back for the ginormous cinnamon rolls and the cinnamon French toast! Customer service was very friendly, nice environment and decor. Staff was very helpful with our questions. Food was great, were able to put toppings on the side to accommodate allergies. Home cooking is hard to come by anymore and this place definitely made me miss my late grandmother cooking. Upon visiting Sparks, NV for unfortunate circumstances, I was suggested to take this little drive and eat at this place that I wouldn't be disappointed. I was not!!! Cocos and Moes does an amazing job making you feel comfortable and welcomed. It is the small things that make customers more comfortable. The ambience as you enter into the restaurant is upscale and inviting but very comfortable and the amazing staff that greet you at the door. Throughout the meal staff check on you to make sure your dining experience is satisfying and make you feel like you're part of the family. Their food was simply amazing and filling I ordered the simple 2 egg, potatoes breakfast with a side of ham. The portion was more than I was able to eat and very filling. I never had to ask for a refill on my coffee either the waitress Linda was right on top of it. She was so intentive and made my experience there even better. She made small talk with me and made me feel welcome. All the other dishes I was able to see on other tables looked extravagant and amazingly yummy. I was able to meet the owners too since it's a small family-owned business and they were amazing too they were just as inviting as my waitress definitely made my whole experience worthwhile. I would highly recommend this place for anyone even if you are a drive away. I certainly didn't expect such yummy, amazing food. It was definitely worth the hour drive for me. I used Coco and Moes for my mom's 80th birthday party to come and cater. Ben and his team were amazing from the communication, variety of options to eat and set up on the day. I never heard of Coco and Moes and trusted in their food and service and I'm glad I did because myself as well as the guests could not get enough and asked to take some home. This place is amazing. We stopped in after a weekend of camping. They were super friendly as soon as we walked through the door. They had to close early for a catering thing, so we were the only ones there. It is decorated really cute farmhouse style and is comfortable and casual. THE FOOD IS LITERALLY MAGIC IN YOUR MOUTH!! What a hidden gem! We are so thankful we happened upon this family run diner. We stopped for breakfast on the way home. Everything was delicious. We ordered the chicken fried steak that came with country fried taters and biscuit and gravy as well as a two egg, bacon, taters, and biscuit and gravy. They give you a carafe of coffee to keep at your table which we appreciated. The customer service was five star. It was clean, inviting and welcoming.
