Another amazing experience at this restaurant and a must visit if you live in Houston. We went on Thursday night which they have a Beef Wellington special . . . The best Beef Wellington I have ever had and I have had some of the best around. The Wellington has the perfect ratio of bread to beef and the Morel sauce was amazing! If you have had Ramsey's or B&B, try this one! We also had the Duck lollies, one of our favorite. I tried the Redfish with pesto risotto and it was beautiful but the curry sauce took it over the top. We also ordered a side of the scalloped potatoes which were creamy, firm and so tasteful. The staff is always amazing treating you like you are their only customer. The bar staff made beautiful Corralejo Tequila, Templeton Rye and Tears Of Llorona Extra Anejo cocktails. They never disappoint and make sure every single detail is perfect for your dining experience. The ambiance is beautiful and so well decorated, it really completes the whole dinner experience. I promise you will not be disappointed and once you're hooked, you will go back again and again. read more

decor stunning service and food equates to I-Hop. We went there for Saturday brunch and very few people were there so you would think that the service would be good. Just to get a glass of tea took 30 minutes and I needed to remind the waiter twice. We will never go back. read more

Unsure why this place is getting a bad score so early on. Came on a week night with a girlfriend & we absolutely loved Cocody. The interior is stunning from the moment you walk in, the service was great. The manager even came over to check how I liked my mocktail (I'm pregnant). For starter we split the potato & burrata apps, clam pasta for an entree & sorbet trio for dessert. The pasta was delicious, will absolutely order again! Def give this place a try if you haven't yet. read more

Service was friendly enough, but pretty slow. At one point, we ordered a chocolate dessert that was made to order and thus took longer, but didn't receive that info until we asked about when it would come out. This was after service has been pretty slow throughout the rest of our time there. The food was just ok. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was alright. It was a fried chicken breast patty that kind of reminded me of something from Chick fil A. The decor and presentation of the food was very pretty, but I wouldn't be rushing to go back. read more

I had a galentines dinner and it was terrible. Service was slow and the waiter kept coming back to ask what we ordered. The food took forever to come out and when it did it had no seasoning. The bar manager Eduardo is a rude pos! He rudely told my friend she can't take pictures on the stairs but allowed other girls to do it. They also didn't let my friend in with her dress but allowed another girl with a cut out dress in. Don't come here! People of color they will give you a very hard time. read more

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. TikTok hypes the look but when I tell you the staff is absolutely atrocious with being able to take pictures of your food, atmosphere, cocktails. The food I would say is very SUBPAR... I would give it a 2/5, service was slow, food was cold only thing you can get it a picture if you SNEAK it. Paying customers being told no, you can't on items you're purchasing. I will not be returning and will be letting anyone know NOT to visit this establishment. read more

How privileged is Houston to have another French fine dining restaurant in Cocody? We lost Le Mistral, but it's reinvented in a more creative and elegant fare. I was lucky to be treated to Cocody by my generous friends who were equally lucky to score a table in its debut week. Our waitress was attentive, personable, and had a calm, collective demeanor despite the intense aura of high expectations in the restaurant. There were food influencers (I saw myself in a video on an influencer's reel), a gazillion people bussing tables and delivering food, and the atmosphere was energetic. Perhaps that's typical of opening week energy. Drinks - a compact cocktail list. Your usual Pimm's, Sours, Martinis, Old-Fashioned's, but their take. I had the Mix and Matcha Martini, vodka-based with a hint of matcha, possibly basil and an egg white foam. It was the perfect balance of alcohol, sweetness (very light), and matcha. Sorry, I never got to the wine list, but I saw the table near me. Wine was poured into a cool bespoke decanter (visualize an angled horned decanter). Appetizers - Burrata Stuffed in Heirloom Tomato. While the burrata was crazy fresh and yummy, it just didn't wow me. I was looking for an extra pop of flavor from the basil pesto puree, but it tasted like other burrata apps from many places. So we went from light and fresh to rich in apps. Ordered the scallops (didn't stand out) and foie gras. The sliver of foie gras sat on a slice of gingerbread. The bits of pears and black currant sauce gave an already rich dish more oomph. My mouth is still watering... Entrees - Our friends enjoyed their lobster risotto and pulled pork. I had a taste of the pulled pork. It was tender and delicious. The phyllo dough had a slight crisp and the reduction sauce was light. I opted for the popular French dish - the roasted Moulard Duck Breast. While there were only three pieces, each one was delectable, flavorful, moist, and tender. Desserts - On another level my friends!! The cheesecake - not your typical, must try. Pistachio Italian ice cream ring - the ice cream is house made and was delicious, then we had the chocolate royal. It was my least favorite as the chocolate was on the dry end. Don't be surprised by the portions and price point. This is pure and true French fine dining. This is not your French mom and pop, bistro, countryside eateries, so don't come hungry expecting large portions. You're coming for the quality ingredients, the beautiful aesthetic of the dining room and bar, the people watching, the exceptional service, and opulence (menagerie of crystal lights and quartz pink sitting booths with Art Deco yet modern touches). read more

Beautiful space. Everything is so fun to look at in this restaurant. Came here for brunch with a friend and we got seated at a table for 2 right at the entrance. Great for people watching, but not a fan of all the traffic. Plus, our table was wobbly- and the restaurant had only been open about 3 weeks by the time we dined. Our server had to try and wedge napkins under multiple times. I don't usually point these out but if you're selling a certain vibe- you really should be delivering on it. The key lime margarita was a winner! Food itself was just ok. Bread platter was nice, especially the pain du chocolat- loved the apple butter. The carrot ginger soup really fell flat on the flavour for me. Beautiful presentation but such mild flavours. The smoked salmon tartar was ok, nothing special again for this price point. For the entree's: my friend got the salmon which was a little over cooked from the requested medium. I got the pulled pork which was actually probably the most flavourful dish we had. I will saw the saucework was pretty on point. It was a beautiful December weekend so we migrated to the patio for dessert. Nice and comfy space. Overall- don't think I'll be back in a hurry. Bonus tip- the front lot fills up quick but I just learnt there's parking in the back too! read more

Very trendy and beautiful decor at Cocody. We had great service and were seated promptly. I love that they had a sommelier on hand as well for a Thursday night. I honestly teetered though between a 3 and 4 star rating for Cocody due to the high prices not matching the level of taste and portion size with the food I'd expect. I also ordered a Whiskey Sour cocktail and it was so lemon forward I basically had to force it down to not waste it. The salmon and tartare duo was tasty, the burrata stuffed tomato with basil pesto was perfectly balanced in flavor and the cheese plate was very good also (albeit not for the price of it though). The Cod Filet was delicious and the Linz Beef Tenderloin with potatoes was also good, just not exceptional for a $64 steak. I'd go once and would find another restaurant to go back to if looking for something on rotation. read more

0/10 Food was lackluster but the service was even worse. Dirty wine glass, no silverware, no plates, had to get up multiple times to ask staff for water and silverware when we got our apps. When we attempted to speak with the manager about our time here he said we were already done eating and should've said something then. He didn't acknowledge the terrible service at all and of course with an automatic gratuity added to our bill, when we asked to speak with him again he never came back to our table. Would not come here again and you're better off going somewhere else and just coming here for pics! read more

This restaurant was BEAUTIFUL. Very classy vibes. We started at the bar while we waited for our table. I got the hibiscus margarita it was divine. We moved to a table for dinner service. We had the mini baguettes and the Foie Gras to start. The pear with the foie gras really paired well together. . I had the Linz Heritage Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfect and the Au Jus it came with was divine. I wanted to bathe in that sauce. My friend got the Lamb which she said was supuerb. Cocody potatoes were very light and the serving size was everything was perfect. You do order your appetizers and entrees together and they space them out for you. We got the berry tart and the lemon cheesecake to finish off. The cheesecake was the best I've ever had. The lemons curd on it was amazing. Everything was so beautifully presented. I loved our experience and will be returning read more

Cocody is a beautiful restaurant with great service--from the hostess to our server, the service was really good. However, the food is just fine and really not worth it for the high prices. Here's what we tried (we shared everything at the table): -Scallops: I liked the scallops, probably my favorite part of the meal. Great flavor, perfectly seared. -Bread service mini baguettes: The baguettes (and the servings of olive oil and tapenade that come with the baguettes) really are comically mini. While good, the bread service wasn't worth it. -Mushroom risotto: I liked the mushrooms just fine, but the risotto itself was watery/undercooked. Again, the restaurant is beautiful, and the service was very upscale--but I don't know that I'd visit again for the food. For a special occasion, I'd spend that money somewhere else. read more

Beautiful restaurant with my beautiful friends! Cocody Restaurant is certainly gorgeous, as was the food plating. Some dishes were outstanding: the Seasonal Wild Mushroom Veloute was garlicky, luxurious, and oh so comforting. We also enjoyed the Mini Baguettes, unapologetically dipping warm, torn bread flesh in the Veloute. Divine! The Fresh Bucatini with Clams was rustic yet elegant, savory and satisfying. Other dishes we tried: Burrata-stuffed Heirloom Tomato (underwhelming... I missed the kiss of balsamic typical of Caprese,) and Cocody Potatoes (all agreed they were "just ok.") We also had the Atlantic Cod Filet and the Creamy Acquerello Risotto, both of which were delicious but not standouts. Desserts were stunning to look at. Valrhona Chocolate Royal was a rich, chocolate molten cake made amazing by the Baileys Ice Cream. The Philadelphia vanilla cheesecake was light and creamy with hints of lemon, but the hands-down favorite was the House-Made Pistachio Ice Cream. Pistachio perfection! read more

We came here for a brunch with a party of two. Food: nothing special, the chef spent 1/2 of his time to decorate the food, components were weird and didn't go well with each other. I rather the food taste good first before worry about the presentations. Business lunch was a joke. They used cafeteria tray to present their small portions on it. Should have called this cafeteria lunch special instead. Some of their food is warm, some taste cold (and I don't count the salad here). Desert: tastes plain, components don't mix well. Drinks: everyone raved about the matcha martini, honestly I barely taste the matcha. It tastes ok but not as good as other drinks I had elsewhere. Atmosphere: I love their interior decorations and designs. However, with the space design for the booths and all. I could hear other people conversations which is very unpleasant. Service: given such a fancy environment, the waiter and waitress couldn't introduce themselves. I noticed there are 4+ people came by my table getting my order. This format is for non formal restaurant. The server who placed the food down couldn't take the time to convey what food they placed on the table is which is disappointing. Hostess: host was nice and accommodating. However, this restaurant front double door felt like 100 pounds lift. They couldn't help the guests who struggle to open this heavy door. Valet: small area for parking, but it's nice they provided complimentary valet. I'm giving 2 stars for the super sweet valet gentlemen. Otherwise, given the food and the experience, I wouldn't want to deal with the place again. read more

I was torn between giving 3 or 2 stars. Honestly the service we received killed it for us. We had a large reservation for a group of us. The waiter was rude and made rude comments. I had to ask for a straw several separate times and he said to me "you asked me three times I'll get it when I take everyone's order" about 15 minutes had gone by since the first time he asked to begin with. It doesn't take 15 minutes and a smart comment to get a straw. His attitude got better through the evening. But a few other comments had been made to our guests that were unnecessary. The food was good the scallops were phenomenal! The Lamb is good the gnocchi not so much it was fairly dry. Are mini baguettes were hard as a rock. The drinks were extremely strong and not well balanced in my opinion, several members of our group didn't like the drinks because the flavors just didn't go together well. Overall food presentation is great, the restaurant is beautiful. Parking isn't terrible because it has valet. But rude service can truly ruin an experience. Our group in total cost over $1300 so it was unacceptable to have unwarranted poor service at that cost. read more

It was an awkward experience that ended ok. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is not the place, which is very unfortunate because I felt the food was beautifully plated and equally delicious. Unfortunately, the quality of service did not match the excellence of the food. We encountered issues with inattentiveness from our waiter, leading to long wait times and mistakes in our order. Furthermore, the situation escalated when a correction was requested, and the food runner yelled at my friend. It was very awkward and uncomfortable, seeing as how we were there celebrating her birthday. Eventually, a manager intervened and the order was corrected, and a new waiter took over towards the end who was kind and attentive. The manager comped our drinks and my friend's steak. The experience is still leaving a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I hope they do what they say they will and take some corrective actions with the two waitstaff members. If you're going to spend that kind of money, there are a lot of equally nice restaurants in Houston that will treat you better. read more

Not a great experience. Came for a Valentine's Day date with my wife and did not enjoy it at all, service was abysmal. Staff was not accommodating when we asked twice to be moved to a quieter table/area we were sat next to a rowdy group of 6 and could literally breathe on each others food), waiter didn't know what was on the menu when we asked questions and had to be switched out, restroom didn't work properly, mandatory 20% gratuity implemented meaning the staff doesn't have to try very hard or be nice. The chefs were skilled and food was delicious, however $20+ per drink and mandatory gratuity you would expect to have a better experience given that we were in Riveroaks. We left half way through our dinner to go somewhere else. I'd never come back and would not recommend coming here if you dine out regularly looking for a luxurious or romantic experience, if you only care about photos and a cute restaurant then give it a try. I understand having a long day, especially after a valentines weekend but I'm also in hospitality and would never allow someone to be treated as such especially when your bill is going to be $250+ for some drinks and appetizers. read more

A really incredible dining experience. The decor is stunning and upscale. The food is delicious with beautiful presentation, artfully plated. The drinks were on point. And the kitchen is the most impressive and cleanest I've ever seen! They know what they're doing. We went there on a quiet Thursday night to celebrate our son's graduation, and were fortunate enough to have the chef's table. Sylvain was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Very nice to have him actively stopping by to check on the guests, and making everyone feel special. Chef Denis was also incredibly welcoming and friendly. Truly created a special evening for everyone. Our waiter (Josiah) was also very friendly and a total pro interacting with our group and even the children in our party. Across our party we tried many of the appetizers. Everyone loved the escargot, burrata salad, ALL the lolly's!, and the scallops. People in our group had the sea bass, lobster risotto, beef Wellington, beef tenderloin, and cocody fried potatoes. All amazing. And for dessert, Mango Carpaccio, and Pistachio Liegeois dessert were out of this world! We are planning to return soon to try so many of the great items on the menu. read more

I came here for a friend's birthday, and this place has been on my list since I requested the area. Some of our party (arrived on time) and they were seated so we immediately went and sat with them. From there we were asked still or sparkling and our water glasses were full. One waiter (Bob) came and provided us menus. Waited almost 10 minutes before they returned to take our drink orders. We provided our drink orders, and for an additional 10-12 minutes, some drinks (half the table 3/6) came out, and half the table was told the restaurant was out of champagne, so they were unable to provide mimosa flights. They offered to make it with rose instead. This is shocking because to offer brunch and run out of champagne and not even offer prosecco is interesting. We were finally able to order after about 40 minutes of being sat. I will note our servers changed, and we were confused about who our actual server was. The person taking the orders was unattentive and had us continue to repeat our orders. The person who continued to serve us did not take our orders. The staff were nice, I will give them that but understand our confusion as nothing was steady. The brunch food was mediocre, subpar, to be honest. For the price point, the taste lacks, and you will leave hungry. Our bread basket came after our entrees were served. They were kind to comp our bread basket because it came out so late. And to make up for the lack of quality of service, we were offered dessert. I do appreciate the restaurant's efforts to correct its shortcomings. It is felt like a series of unfortunate events. Management did share brunch is new and they are working out the kinks. The food missed the mark and service as well resulting in an overall poor experience. They have a lot of room to grow. read more

Great vibe, but food is expennnnnnnnnnnnsive and portions are small. Best to eat at home first before arriving.

My friends and I booked this place for a friend's special 40th birthday. Our reservation was originally at 7:30 pm, and we postponed it to 9:15 pm. When we got there at 8:55PM, a friend of mine went to check in. They said the table isn't ready as people are somehow staying longer tonight than usual. We were constantly checking in on them to see what's the status was. We noticed that they opened the doors for every guest that entered and existed. When one of us entered or exited, no one opened the door for us. They would only look at us and turn around. There were 2-3 hostesses, and not a single person came out to give us an update on our waiting status. Every 15-20 minutes, we would come in to check up when our table will be ready, and yet, they still gave us the same response. They all saw where we were waiting at, and yet, no one cared to at least let us know the waiting situation. When we called to postpone our reservation, and if they didn't have any availability during that time, they should've told us. Instead, they confirmed our new time, and when we got there, we had to wait over an hour, and yet still no status when our table would be ready. This place is very racist and it seems they choose who they want to open the door to. Everything we approach the door, we had to open it ourselves. Versus others, they haven't even reached the door, they door was already opened for them. This happened many times, not just once. A friend of mine and I both tested this, and sure enough, we were right. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They should treat and be attentive to all their customers. Doesn't matter how good their food taste (can't tell, never tasted it), but no one deserved to be treated like that. If I could give this restaurant a negative (-) stars... I 100000000% definitely would! read more
