Third trip to CocoShrimp and second trip to Plano, TX location. It just doesn't get any better!! I have now tried every flavor and all are excellent. Just got home after having dinner with a friend at a very busy Plano store. Both of us had Sampler Platters and shared the different flavors. Shrimp is succulent--not rubbery. Oh, my, it was a suck-your-finger experience. Again, the garlic butter rice is indeed a thing of beauty, and the ginger dressing for the salad is awesome!! Excellent price!! The food is delicious! But the portions are huge. I shamelessly walked out carrying half of my lunch. On the way out, I noticed several other people doing the same. Best shrimp I've ever tasted...best value for your bucks as well! They literally give you 2 lbs of food...I know, because when I get take-out I'm amazed at how heavy the bag is! The first time I came here I took the box out and weighed it. It was over 2 lbs! Granted, mostly rice...but 6 delicious shrimp on top with a yummy garlic butter sauce on top. You can get half salad and half rice, which I do now, and it's great! The coco shrimp is my favorite, but I've ordered all their options now. I've ordered take-out several times and am always sooo happy! Delicious and fresh food. OH, and their "Double tacos" are a fantastic value and absolutely crave worthy. I think they have one Tuesday a month where they are half price. Go here! It's such a nice change from the usual fast food type places. You can eat inside here as well, and it's a cute little spot. Yum!!! I tried the sampler and the coco shrimp is the best fried coconut shrimp I've had! Very high quality. Will be back for more. The poppyseed dressing and salad are great. The rice makes it a complete meal. The rice comes with a butter sauce by default that I'll leave off next time, as it feels heavy. Can't wait to come back! The sweet & hot is also good, it's the coco shrimp but in a sauce. And the spicy shrimp was good (grilled) but really salty. The staff and manager are very friendly and nice. It was spectacular and superseded my expectations bc I'm not really a big shrimp person. Can't wait to go back. The only thing I would change is the boxing for Togo food. I ordered my food from Uber the Sampler with the Spicy, Butter Garlic and Lemon Herb flavors. All three were delicious. The shrimp were medium sized and were plump and juicy, not at all overcooked. The rice was cooked to perfection and the butter over the rice tasted really good with the shrimp juices also covering it. The salad was fresh and crispy. I really enjoyed the meal. We were already fans of the Coco Shrimp Richardson location but had to go check out the new Plano location that just opened!! This restaurant seems a little smaller than the one in Richardson but it's super cute with fun murals and lighting. Even though we went on the big opening day, service was still fast. Friendly employees and we were greeted upon arrival. We like the spicy shrimp and grilled pineapple. We are excited to have a location closer to us in Plano now! read more

First time here, and I'll def be back! This is a walk-up and order kinda place. They only serve shrimp, so keep that in mind. The cashier/server, Cade, was very helpful with the menu and made some great suggestions. I ordered the sampler with 3 diff flavors of shrimp. I opted for the Coco shrimp, spicy, and lemon & herb. Also, poppy seed dressing for my salad. All 3 of my shrimps were delicious. It's hard to pick a fave, but I think it would be the herb one. These are served with a butter sauce, which flavors the bed of white rice it was served on...Bonus! The salad is made with leafy lettuce, cucumbers, and craisins, so the poppy seed dressing was the perfect choice. This dressing is less sweet than most, as it is vinegar forward, and was a nice surprise. The ginger dressing was heavy on the ginger, which was not for me! All in all, a great lunch. I will definitely return and try the other flavors of shrimp that they offer. read more

Flavor of the food is good, but it's VERY oily. It almost had the flavor of movie theater popcorn butter and the food just swims in it. I got the taco special on Tuesday and was nauseous after.
