Small hidden gem worth the visit. The owners and staff are very engaging and kind. Can be a little warmer, cooler depending on weather in the interior but cute and functional. As for the food it is absolutely delicious enough for repeat trips and portions are generous. Recommend!

I had a combo plate with chicken and garlic shrimp. Great service and could be a good luck spot if you're in. The area.

I found Aloha on Yelp. Since it's closer to where I work, I normally get food during lunch. The katsu chicken and coconut shrimp combo plate is really good. I really love the Shrimp plate. It's amazing!! The macaroni salad is well seasoned and just as tasty. I've never had a bad experience here!

The katsu & shrimp combo portion size was just right. Shrimp was well seasoned & not overcooked. Everything tastes & looks fresh since its cooked to order. Got to chat with the owner to find out more about their background & restaurant. They're very friendly; check out the Pokémon collection!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat and maybe study and I am so glad we found this place. It's a short drive from UTD and the food was superb, in my opinion. We built our own combos and I got the aloha chicken and sweet chili shrimp. Amazing flavor on both, the rice wasn't dry nor too wet, and the mac is something I'd order an extra side of. Inside is really cute, lots of seating and outlets scattered around, as well as free wifi so if you're looking for a place to eat AND study, I'd recommend this place. They've also got some claw machines and those machines you put a quarter in and get a trading card from. The owner of the restaurant is super nice, too! Really great to talk to and really knows what he's doing. I will be coming back here for sure! 10/10 would recommend.

Giant portions here! I got a mini sweet chili chicken and I couldn't finish it, had to take 1/2 of it home for lunch the next day! Owners are super friendly and recommended the original which the hubs loved! You get 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 chicken over rice, mac salad, and an egg roll. I really wanted topo Chico and their bottles are 16.9 oz bottles! If you want water, you can grab a bottle of water. A Hawaiian restaurant is the perfect addition to this area! We will be back with friends for sure. (Also, there is a catering menu as well!)

I kept seeing post about this place for months now. I didn't realize it was just around the corner from where I have been getting nails done for the past 6 months. Lo and behold! It's time to indulge myself with good food on a nice Friday soon after getting pampered. I have been eyeing their Aloha Shrimp Plate for months now and I was very excited to finally get to try it. Ordering food was a breeze, they have menu tv's on your left side when you walk in. The place is clean, vibrant and spacious. Service was a friendly and they explain well if you have any questions about anything from the menu. They also provide free bottled water for either dine-in or take out. This may be my new lunch spot whenever I get my nails done every 3-4 weeks.

Hidden gem located by UTD serving up Hawaiian plate lunches. We got the aloha shrimp, aloha chicken, and bulgogi. Everything was cooked to order and tasted fresh. Shrimp had a nice springy texture and bulgogi was seasoned well. Owner is very friendly and great vibe. Will definitely be back.

Mini Bulgogi Beef Plate: So flavorful and tender!

Wow, wow, wow! Where has this restaurant been my whole life? I am so glad I finally decided to try this place! First, the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most delicious scent. I once heard a professional chef say, "People eat not only with their mouths, but with their eyes too." I would like to add that we eat with our noses too. The food smelled so good, I ordered my food to go, but I wanted to rip the bag open and eat immediately! Second, the hospitality is exceptional. I was greeted as soon as I walked it. I was offered a bottle of water while I waited. The chefs thanked me for coming in while I was handed my order. I kid you not, as soon as I walked in my door, I ran to my kitchen sink, washed my hands, grabbed my chopsticks, and ate like the Tasmanian devil. I ordered the original combo (chicken and shrimp) and the mini bulgogi beef plate. The food was definitely worth the trip and the wait! I can't brag about it enough. I give this restaurant 10/10!

I'm excited that they finally opened a location in Richardson! I've heard nothing but good reviews about their Denton location, but it's too far for me to drive over. The place was pretty quiet when I came in, so I had time to decide what I wanted. I asked for a combo of their aloha chicken and coconut shrimp, which the cashier said he can do. I also saw their fridge with different Hawaiian drinks, so I grabbed a can. The total came out to be $23 with tips, which I thought was too pricey for one person. They had an open kitchen concept, so I can see everything happening. It took a bit for the food to prep, since they were doing maintenance with the fryer. People came in back-to-back and I was shaken by how busy it was after 15 mins. The wait was a bit longer than I anticipated, but I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind. The portion was okay. The combo came with a scoop of rice, macaroni salad, small eggroll, aloha chicken, and 6 coconut shrimp. The aloha chicken was sweeter than I expected, so I paired it with the macaroni salad. The coconut shrimp was GOOD. The batter was light, and the shrimp was hot. My strawberry guava drink was refreshing and paired perfectly well with the meal. Overall, I think this place is pretty solid. The interior is very clean with lots of natural lighting, and I like the open kitchen concept. I also saw the worker wrap the musubi per order instead of making them in batches ahead of time. The price is too high for my liking since my other frequently visited Hawaiian place only costs $15 for a meal. I do wish they serve more than just chicken, bulgogi, and shrimp, but hey, it's there in the name.

I haven't had much Hawaiian food in my life, so I was excited to check this place out for dinner. the restaurant was busy, so as expected, wait times were longer. My friends and I ordered the sweet chili chicken, aloha shrimp, and coconut shrimp plates. The sweet chili chicken was my favorite. The sauce was delicious, and the chicken was crispy and not dry. Second place goes to the aloha shrimp, which was smothered in a spicy garlic butter sauce. The shrimp was also tender.. and perhaps it's sacrilegious to say this, but I feel like I would've ascended if the same shrimp was on pasta, tacos, or bread. And lastly, while I rank the coconut shrimp as last, it was still pretty good. The coating was crispy and you could really taste the coconut. While slightly pale and tiny, the egg rolls were pretty good. The Mac salad could've had a pinch more salt and mayonnaise, but it was overall a delicious bite.

Great signage and plenty of parking out front.

I read the reviews and really wanted to love the food here. We went inside to place our "to-go" order. The young man taking our order was very friendly and answered my questions. We ordered the chicken and shrimp that comes with macaroni salad. I asked if I could take a picture of the guys that work there and two said yes! This place gets 5 stars for friendliness and customer service! The chicken was moist enough but had an odd flavor. The coconut shrimp was crunchy but it had a covering of panko, but I couldn't really see or taste coconut. The rice was dried and cold, maybe since we took it home to eat it. The macaroni salad was pretty good. The decor was super cute and I loved the vibe of this restaurant! I guess my taste buds didn't align with the food that they serve here and some of the other reviews. I hope others will love it and the restaurant thrives!

That's a win in my book. My wife has dined at other Coco Shrimp locations, but it was our first time at this location. The place is nicely decorated, looking like a kitchy joint you'd find in the Caribbean, and the staff was very pleasant. It's quick casual, order at the counter from the easy to read and not too fussy menu, and the staff will bring your food to your table. I chose the sampler plate, which nets seven very generously sized shrimp atop a bed of buttery rice and a small salad. The greens were fresh, the rice was toasty and buttery as promised, and those shrimp: Yum! I selected spicy (definitely on the warm side), butter garlic (wonderful butter garlic sauce with herbs) and the namesake Coco shrimp (crispy fried with coconut flakes and sweet chili sauce), and all were fantastic. It was a lot of food, so we even took leftovers home to have for dinner. This place was definitely worth the price, and we'd happily go again.
