This business is going to do very well. It feels cleaner than many salons with a calm, soothing atmosphere. Customer service was top notch; Kim even remembered my name when I returned the next day for a touch up. My lower leg massage, which is normally given during a pedicure in a hurried fashion, was relaxed and unhurried. Just left this salon and I have one word....Relaxed! I am visiting from out of town and needed a repair, fill in and pedicure. Well, Kim set me straight and informed me that I was WAY overdue for a new set. "It's yellow. Not even pink". She was right! Never really noticed. After removing and getting a new pink and white set, we moved to the pedicure chair. The massage was relaxing and I really liked the sanitary liners in each bowl. A little added protection never hurts. I will note that you must make sure to bring cash for a tip. I discovered this as I called several salons the day before and it seems a common practice in MI. Great service. Clean and fast, usually. This past visit, I got a woman who was sub-par. She didn't scrub my feet well during the pedicure and spoke no English so I couldn't communicate with her when the water was ice cold. It was very frustrating, especially when she turned to scalding hot to correct the issue. I hate when I have to give directions to progressionals, and that's what happened during my last visit. This place was great!! I ran in on my lunch hour to get a pedicure, no appointment. I had to wait a few minutes but not too long.The place was very clean. This is BY FAR the best nail salon in the metro Detroit area. I have been going to My Day for about a year now, and I am sad any time I am out of town and have to get my nails done someplace else. The level of service is incredible, the salon/spa is very clean, and the staff is always so polite! I usually get a shellac manicure, which says on for about 2 weeks, and a regular pedicure. About once a month I will get my eyebrows waxed as well, and have never had *any* issues with these three services. Even when it gets busy and the salon is packed, you receive the same level of excellent service. I can't wait to go back! read more

My nail salon was booked for the evening so after reading some positive reviews and ratings I decided to give it a try. Worst mistake. The only reason I give it one star is because they're moderately clean. The woman who did my pedicure stopped in the middle to go clean a tub from a different persons pedicure... she returned wearing the same gloves and I had to ask her to change them. She kept scratching me with her nails through the gloves and also brushed the tops of my feet with the scrub brush??? Lastly, my polish job was absolutely horrible and she kept using her dirty thumb nail to scrape polish off my skin; this is gross and it also hurt really badly. Won't ever come here again. read more

I don't write many reviews, but I have to for this. I have gel with shellac overlay and went here because my usual place was busy. I won't do that again! I have my nails rounded and short. The lady doing my nails was super passive and kind of rude. She straight up told me my nails would only look okay because you can't do round on short nails (I always have and it looks good). Once I left, I noticed a few of my nails looked crooked, but I just dealt with it. Not even 48 hours later, 2 of my nails had severely chipped polish. I went back as I paid $38 for this and the lady was sassy and rude with me stating it is because I asked for thin/minimal base coat as I don't like my nails thick. She said it was my fault, quickly redid the 2 nails. I have never had that issue before. Not even a day later, those 2 nails chipped again!! I didn't even try to go back there I was so angry. I will not go back there ever. thanks to the chipped crooked nails!!! I would not recommend this place! Save your money! read more

So hard to find a good consistent nail salon. I dragged my husband with me and we both got pedi-manis. So much attention to little details. Great leg and foot massages for both of us. I absolutely love this salon and after my most recent visit have decided this will be the ONLY salon I go to from here on out. It's is clean with nice, comfortable decor. The massage chairs actually work. The owner, Kim, is great. She is extremely attentive and ensures all customers are satisfied (even those who she's not directly working with). I got a shellac manicure almost two weeks ago, and my nails look nearly flawless! I have gotten shellac manicures elsewhere, only to have them start chipping/peeling in much less time. All of the technicians I have had here have been wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

My Day Nails & Spa is spic-n-span clean, practices the required sanitary procedures, and has such a calm and pleasant atmosphere. My best friend and I love getting pedicures together in the summer, this is her favorite place. I've gone 3 times. The pedicure is affordable, clean, and they really do a nice massage. I think if you are someone who gets their nails done a lot this would be a good regular place to go. I guess the only thing that misses a star for me is I don't feel a relaxing spa element here. The establishment is clean and pretty, but fast paced. I don't feel comfortable enough to really relax and enjoy myself. I suppose this is a good place to go in and out for nails. read more

Very disappointed, my pedicure was very sub-par, they woman cut my toe when doing my cuticles, did not clean the nails properly, and barley worked on the bottom of my feet, which are a problem, that's why I get pedicures, also my daughter noticed that they did not paint all of the nail or removed all of the old polish, so on 2 toes I have two different colors of nail polish. I told them I was getting married in a few days but that did not matter, for my manicure I had grown my nails out a bit, the woman insisted they were too long and cut them shorter than I wanted. This was supposed to be a fun thing before my wedding but I am having the mani and pedi redone before the weekend. read more

Drove 35 minutes to come here because I had heard good things. What a let down. I had an appointment for 230 got there at 220 at 245 they took me back for my pedicure and let me soak until 310 no body had even looked my way to help me. I got up to leave and the lady sitting in the front asked me what's wrong I told her I had an appointment and waited 50 minutes. During my wait no one bothered to let me know they were running late or asked if I wanted or need anything to keep my comfortable while waiting. I even called back when I left and ask if I could be accommodated if I came back and she said "it doesn't work that way" really? That's HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Having just moved to the area I was looking for a nail salon. I hit the jackpot when I found this one! It is spotless and everything is sanitized - they even use liners in the spa pedi bowls. Staff are friendly, efficient and very good at what they do. Tom was my nail tech and he was great - my nails were the exact length and shape I wanted. Great lower leg massage including hot stones! And if that's not great enough they're open seven days a week! I highly recommend giving this nail salon a try-check it out, you won't be disappointed! read more

This used to be my favorite place to go to for nails, but sadly I have to be on the search for a new nail salon because of my last visit. The guy who did my pedicure couldn't speak any English at all so he didn't understand my requests. I wanted him to leave one of my toes alone because it was injured and was healing, and he went and fussed around with it anyways which was extremely painful, even though I kept saying "ow that hurts" he kept going. When he cuticle trimmed me, he went too far and made all of my toes bleed and they were absolutely raw and irritated after, still he didn't stop even when I started to bleed. When that torture was over, I went to get a manicure, and the young girl was more interested in texting and looking at her phone than paying attention to me. She constantly stopped servicing me to look at her phone. When she finally did talk to me, it was an insult about how I'm "so pale and need to get out in the sun more." The owner of this store is fantastic and does her job very well. There are a couple of other workers in here who are also great. Hence the 2 stars. But I don't think I could allow myself to take another chance here. I hope the owner gets rid of the bad workers soon so I can start to faithfully come back here again. read more
