This was my first time there and I was instantly impressed. Someone greeted me immediately at the door and I was asked to wash my hands for Covid protocol. There was sanitizer available after signing in, but no one took my temperature. They had individual nail designs to choose from, social distancing was in place, and masks were mandatory. i called and made an appt for my granddaughter and I to get pedicures. It would be the second time we'd go there. The woman told me my granddaughter could get a mani-pedi for $30. I questioned the price, but she said it was correct, so I added a manicure for her on this visit. Before I hung up, I confirmed the cost of my pedi and my granddaughter's mani pedi. When I paid at the register after we were finished, I was rung up for more. I told the man the price I was given on the phone. He told me that was wrong. I explained about the call, the time I called, and the employee who took my call. This man interrupted me every time I spoke. I told him to stop interrupting me so I could finish what I was saying. He did after that. I gave him the phone call information asked him to see who might have taken my call. He finally just rung me up for the price given to me over the phone. I will never visit that place again. On a lesser note, many of the pedi chair coverings could be replaced. Many were worn and ripped. But the employees working on us were very nice. read more

I have been going to another salon for the past three years and it is a full service. I really enjoyed going to the previous Salon however they did not have enough color options. I have been purchasing my own polishes and chrome polish for the past two years. I have been going to Troy Nails & Spa for lip waxing. Review from a former nail technician. Clean, friendly, and pretty atmosphere. The typical acrylic nail job is so unfortunately standard with all nail technicians in the area. The shape I chose for my nail is square with the classic French Manicure nail design, and I specifically told the technician I didn't want thick nails. My review of the end product: The end result is the nail tip is too thick giving the appearance of being too heavy and out of proportion. The natural nailbed curve isn't followed so the nail bed is flat and the nail tip is too thick, and sticks upwards at the ends, rather than following a natural curve downwards. Only one nail, the thumb, out of ten has the nailbed curve. (I only photographed my left hand, the right thumb has a flat nailbed with a thick tip, just like the other 8 nails). The French Manicure came out nice. I personally prefer less white by having a more pronounced "moon shape" curve. It's a standard acrylic job, but for $65 it should be better than standard. I wrote this review because I really do hope the nail technicians read this and actually start to look at the details of their work and up their technique. read more

I love coming here on a Sunday and having a relaxing pedicure. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, it is very clean and they do a great job. I always get the deluxe pedicure with the scrub clay mask and hot stones, you won't regret it. I have never written a review before but after my last visit it felt necessary. I've been visiting this location for over 3 years. They are under new ownership now. I've slowly noticed a decline in service since the new owners took over. Many of the great employees are now gone. The last 3x I went in for a pedicure I left with smudged nails or nail polish sloppily put on. I did not complain and told myself next time would be better since I didn't want to find a new place. I went in for a Korean jelly manicure. I was convinced based on a picture I showed to get a powder instead. This was my first time but I was confident the employee knew what they were talking about. I requested short round nails and the color to match the picture. I left with long, square, and see through nails. The powder is about 1/2 thick in some spots. It honestly hurts to even touch my nails. They were filed slanted and uneven. She never even cleaned up my cuticles. The whole progress was done in less than 15 mins and I was charged almost $60. I had a gel mani and regular pedi with Amy. My friend raved about this place and I finally went. The place is much bigger inside than it looks from the street. Plenty of people were getting services but it didn't feel crowded or loud. Also, no loud TVs blaring. Some nice quiet pop music in the background, but overall the ambience was nice. The equipment looks newer, the pedicure massage chair was comfy, and the place felt very clean. Amy was warm and welcoming. She did a FANTASTIC job on my hands and feet: both were painless, full service (no skimping) and beautiful. No drilling on the nails (which burns and is bad for you). Plus I was out of there in about 75 min, which for a pedi and gel mani is pretty good. The conversation (which sometimes I feel is forced, or worse....awkward silence) was actually really nice. Amy and I hit it off right away and we were all laughing by the end. My friend was there, too and her nail tech, Rana, was also really sweet and easy to talk to. My friend's manicure looked beautiful. I will definitely be back. It's a 20 min drive for me but it is worth it . Amy only takes appointments, no walk ins, but definitely ask for her or Rana. read more

First time last week. Went in for a regular mani/pedi. No acrylic etc. Said new owners. Not sure how long the sign has been up. Furniture looked old and worn. The nail tech was nice. Never told his name. Not very many customers. My nails looked great the day I had them done and the next day. That was it. The third day they were peeling off and the was the end of my manicure. read more

My experience at the salon was not bad. However o had the owner doing my pedicure and every two minutes he had to stop to answer the phone or help someone. Unfortunately it didn't make for a very relaxing pedicure. I was hesitant to get shellac manicure as I felt like my pedicure experience was somewhat rushed. I ended up doing a mani with Shellac. The owner to time to do my nails and put several layers of the shellac on. My nails when they where finished looked pretty good. However only two days later the shellac is totally discolored. The discoloration started the next day but wasn't very bad to begin with. Every day since it's gotten worse. I have not been back to the salon to address the issue I will say that. I'm unsure of what would cause something like this to happen. I don't want the same thing to happen should j get shellac again. Very disappointed to say the least. This has become MY nail place! Rana, Emily, and Amy do consistently great work and I've become fussy about their work over anyone else's, and I used to not ever get manicures! The salon is beautifully decorated and comfortable and welcoming. It's relaxing to be there, with plenty of space, always clean. I knocked off a star because it's very very hard to get an appointment over the phone, and I've had multiple problems trying to do so. The owner answers, and even when I've asked to speak specifically to the nail tech I want to schedule with, he doesn't allow it, and then gives confusing information. Now I just contact my tech directly for scheduling. I've observed the owner getting visibly and audibly angry with people who work in the shop, and yelling at them in front of their co-workers and clients, which is unprofessional at best. It's made me uncomfortable several times. I would like to see that changed. But get a gel mani from Rana, Emily, or Amy, and you're going to be very happy! read more

Friendly service and great staff! Got a manicure done by Ememz and she did a fantastic job! My cuticles are trimmed and my nails are cut with consistent shape, not to mention my nails are coated clear and they look amazing. The workers are amazing people and fun to be around. I've gone here out of convenience as my normal salon is about 40 minutes away from where I live now and doesn't take walk ins. Every time I've gone something minor has gone wrong and the customer services isn't really a thing. Most recently, they did not have the color I picked out, then brought a random color instead and didn't ask if it was good or if I wanted to pick a new one, just dropped it off and walked away. I almost always get some sort of cut or scrape on my cuticles/fingers, this time from the process of taking off my old gel with a file, she scraped the top of my finger, then put acetone on it! Some of the people working there are quick and efficient at their job, one person is so slow and I dread having her as a shellac manicure took over an hour and a half. I've seen others vocally unhappy with their service and not much was done about it by management. I've also seen someone come in with broken acrylics from about 5 days ago and management wanted proof of receipt to replace the broken acrylic nails, it was a very public fight and made me very uncomfortable. Its hit or miss, so if you have low expectations and just need nails done for every day, this place is fine for that. read more

Got shellac/gel nails today. The woman was very nice, but the end product looked terrible.. an uneven finish and messy edges (photos included). Additionally, I didn't see the label on their cash register when I walked in that says Cash Only Tips (my own fault I guess, but I do think they should state it when you walk in.. why would I look at the register when the first thing you do is pick out your color and you don't usually pay until the end?). They have an ATM, but it's a $3 charge plus the $2.50 my bank charges. An extra $5.50 plus tip, for a poorly done job? Needless to say, I don't recommend this nail salon, and I will not be returning. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but it took them 2 1/2 hours for a full set and a pedicure. I came in at 9:30am when there wasn't any other customers. The pedicure was very nice and the lady was awesome. But they took at least a half an hour to try and soak off my nails (before giving me a pedicure because the man was taking so long to soak my nails) and then I told the man I was running late but he still convinced me it would be fast to put on the shellac so I agreed. The end product does not look that great it looks uneven and kind of clumpy. And then they charged me $97. So I got charged an arm and a leg to miss my appointment and to have half ass nails. not to mention he was on his phone and would stop doing my nails to send text messages. They are very good here and my nails always look great. I love their choice of colors for shellac and dip powder, they have so many! However, they take longer than any other nail place I have been to yet have the same outcome. A normal visit here for just a dip manicure takes at least 1.5 hours (compared to the normal hour it takes elsewhere). It is worth the visit, but only when you know you have the time. read more

Visited for the first time today and my experience was amazing! I didn't have an appointment but they were able to get me in right away. The spa is so clean and organized. The atmosphere is calm and glamorous. I like how they have the nail tables set up in two rows facing each other; it would be perfect for larger groups like bridal parties or "girl" days. We were seated almost as soon as we had chosen our polish colors! Two of us had gotten manicures before, but never pedicures. We got mani/pedis with shellac manicures, and I couldn't be happier. My tech was so meticulous, even going so far as to do an extra shade of white polish on my nails before my color to make the bright color even brighter! I don't think I'll be going back here. I used to come here for years and they did a wonderful job. Within the past couple years I can tell it is now under new management and the owner is very rude. The past couple times I have gone I've noticed that they've added extra services to my receipt that I didn't have done. For example, they added "nail art" to my receipt when I just got a solid color. I asked why he added "nail art" and he said because of the shape. The shape I got was a basic coffin shape. I tried to ask why I have to pay for the shape and he acted like he didn't understand me. They don't give you the receipt until after you already pay so at this point I just left. I am very disappointed. I hope they change their ways because the salon is very cute inside. read more
