Amazing pizza! I always reorder from this place because it tastes so good. Always consistent and spicy jalapenos.

So good! I had the lasagna and it was gooey and delicious. It's definitely enough for 2 meals. Excited to try other items they offer.

There were very few tables open when we arrived, and even leaving closer to 7 there were still a good number of open tables. We found service to be fast and very friendly/attentive. We started with a timballo appetizer, which came stuffed with brisket and was really good! I'd never heard of timballo before, and from googling it appears theirs is quite a bit different than what you'd likely find elsewhere. Theirs is made primarily of risotto fried into a puck shape. It was really yummy and I'd definitely recommend. We the shared a pizza and pasta for the main course. We had a braised pork gnocchi for the pasta. It was solid, but probably my least favorite part of the meal. The gnocchi was very light and had more of a fall apart texture. The braised pork really overpowered any other flavors, and made it a bit of a one note dish We had a cambozola pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions that was really good! Much less funky than I was expecting, but still a great flavor combination. There were quite a few intriguing pizza options, and you get much more quantity for a similar price than the pasta. I'll probably lean more in the pizza direction in the future For dessert we tried a few of the chocolate truffles which came highly recommended. I appreciate that they also gave some samples of a vanilla chai chocolate bark before we ordered dessert. The truffles were very rich and chocolatey, but the flavor notes were honestly hard to notice. I was particularly surprised that a white chocolate lemon truffle (still covered in non-white chocolate on the outside) was much more chocolatey than anything else I will also say that the service was some of the best I've experienced in Austin. Our server was super friendly, gave helpful recommendations, and was very on top of clearing our plates between courses. Overall I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend giving them a try if you live in Austin and are looking for a nicer Italian spot!

The complementary bread was somewhat lacking. Being Italian myself I found it just OK. We all had drinks and although I ordered two different speciality drinks, both were the same. I think our waitress got confused. She seemed to be having trouble with the tablet or she was new and was just figuring it out. The service was a little slow with me asking for a water refill and the waitress returning to fill only one of our group's glass. LOL. The inside was nice and it had a comfortable feel. Our total with tip was $400. It is definitely not someplace I would visit often due to the total, but we did have two apps and several drinks so that's on us I guess.

Such a thoughtful touch! We started with the meatball appetizer, which was delicious! We had the chicken piccata and the chicken parm. Both were amazing, and the portions were HUGE! We probably could've skipped the appetizer, but it was too good to regret. And hands down, the best Caesar salad I've ever had! My only complaint would be the noise level. It was incredibly loud, to the point that we could barely hear our server. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner. That aside, the food, service, and overall experience were fantastic! We absolutely loved Sammie's and can't wait to come back!

Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service made the whole experience even better. It's always nice to come across someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and takes pride in making sure guests have a great time. I'll definitely be back, and I hope we get to see Kale again! He was the perfect person to make our night memorable.

It can feel a little crowded, and while the restaurant is nice enough, there's nothing about the ambiance that really stands out to me. Service | 3/5 The service has been pretty average during my visits. The staff does their job, but nobody seems particularly enthusiastic or excited to be there. Nothing necessarily wrong with the service, just nothing that stands out either. Food | 4/5 First of all, the kale and goat cheese salad with dates?! Hands down the BEST salad I've ever had in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could eat this salad EVERY SINGLE DAY! SOOOOO GOOD! The combination of flavors and textures is incredible. The sweetness from the dates paired with the goat cheese and kale works so well. I genuinely cannot get enough of it! Now, the lasagna was a different story. The pasta layers were extremely thin and soft, and the overall consistency was too soupy for my liking. I personally prefer a firmer, more structured lasagna that holds together when you cut into it. It wasn't necessarily bad, just not my preference, and I wouldn't order it again. The parm bread is another item that looks better than it actually tastes. It's okay, but nothing particularly special. It also gets hard pretty quickly, which takes away from the experience. Desserts | 5/5 Their desserts are always FIRE! I've consistently enjoyed the desserts here, and they're definitely one of the highlights of the menu for me. Drinks | 3/5 I've tried their cocktails, and they're okay, but I'm honestly not a huge fan of their drink selection. It's just not my preferred style of cocktails. North Italia isn't somewhere I'd go specifically for drinks. If I decide to drink while I'm here, I typically stick to wine. Overall Experience | 4/5

There can be a bit of a wait, but it usually goes by pretty quickly. Now the reason we all come here is the pasta. I ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka. It really has my heart!

Such a good find in Austin!…read more If you're ever craving pasta, this is the place to stop by. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. No Italian-American staples like Alfredo, meatballs, or garlic bread, which was actually refreshing since I'm so used to that style. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh. I'd recommend the macaroni with mushrooms and sausage. I got the tagliatelle with lemon shrimp cream sauce and loved it, though now I'm curious to try one of their non-cream-based sauces next time. Also spotted another table's lasagna go by and the portion was huge. Already excited to go back next time I'm in Austin. Definitely check this spot out!
