The drinks were so good!! The store was packed and it took a bit to get our orders but the staff were so nice. Would definitely recommend but know there might be a wait if you go on a weekend!

Iced Coffee

I stopped into Cobblestones on a trip to Boston, and I thought it was cute, with the potential to be even better. The coffee selection was a little disappointing, with no seasonal options or flavor options beyond syrups. But, overall, the coffee was flavorful. Service was great. The person behind the counter was very personable and made great recommendations. I got my breakfast sandwich relatively quickly, and it was good, but I noticed that it was served on a pretty badly chipped plate. This could be hazardous, so I would like to see an improvement there in the future. The food and service were overall good at Cobblestones. I think with some redecorating and slight rebranding, it could become a Beacon Hill staple. The interior doesn't currently match the vibe of Beacon Hill, but I think this could be a pretty easy change to make. I would also like to see an improvement on the coffee menu. They could give Tatte a run for their money if a seasonal menu were available!

Acai Bowl

Although I love the breakfast sandwiches and açaí bowls here, I was disappointed to find that their grab-and-go options are overpriced and not worth it. It was $4 for a tiny container of berries and $8 for a yogurt parfait with barely any toppings. Although it's in a convenient location near the public garden, I will head to the Trader Joe's or Whole Foods nearby for my grab-and-go items instead.

Plastic bits in the green juice

Paid $10 for a green juice that had plastic bits blent in. Definitely avoiding in the future

Pear and Gouda
Emily C.

Tried Cobblestones through a catering option at work and was pleasantly surprised. I got the pear and Gouda sandwich and added turkey--great flavor combo, and even with the added meat, the price was still lower than what I typically pay at similar spots in the area. They also included side options like small containers of fresh fruit, which I really appreciated. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were just right, and I'd definitely order from here again. Solid option for lunch, especially if you're looking for something a little different than the usual.

Very Vegan

i got the very vegan and felt like for $14 in beacon hill it was a good portion and super yummy. i loved the cilantro lime vinaigrette! there weren't bathrooms for customers which i did find a little odd but i liked the vibe of this place for a chill lunch and they have a decent amount of outdoor seating as well.

Great food in a quaint café right on the corner. It obviously is a community favorite. The breakfast was incredible and the pastries were wonderful. The coffee was really good too. If I lived here, I would frequent this place multiple times a week. The staff are very friendly as well.

Meatball Sub with Strawberry Lemonade
Sarai G.

Parking is hard to find, we were walking by around the area so easily accessible. No restroom or hand sanitizer. Place feels small, they do have outdoor seating but it's closed if it had rained. I thought it was pricey for a simple meal. Sandwhich was $16 and drink was $9. Don't get me wrong the meatball sub and drink was delicious! I got full with half(easily shareable). My sister liked the colonial sub but didn't like the Arnold Palmer.

Great food but horribly slow service! Don't go if you are in a rush. Seating area is tight.

The bagel breakfast sandwich was just ok, but good place to grab a quick bite if you're hungry in the Beacon Hill area.

I came here 4 times when in town for a conference, as this way super conveniently located to the conference center (Menino). It's open 7am-10pm daily, is always seemingly busy but always very efficient and fast to deliver orders, and has a huge amount of comfortable seating. First visit: I tried the vegan breakfast burrito ($12), a nicely designed burrito with tofu, potato, spinach, roasted red peppers, vegan cheese, and mushrooms, served with salsa on the side. Very solid burrito. The Spanish burrito I tried another day--which came with vegan meatballs of some sort--was even better. Second visit: I got an açai bowl ($9 for the small size; $12 for regular), and added vegan protein powder ($2) blended in. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. Moreover, each time I visited, I ordered a double espresso ($3.50), which was excellent. Proper espresso, deep body, strong, served with sparkling water and a piece of dark chocolate.

A lovely patio. Food was delicious. It is counter service but they were all very friendly. So much variety to choose from. It was hard to select what we wanted to eat. I love the decor. A true homage to the hit TV show friends, you'll walk in and feel like you already know your way around. And you'll even find Central Perk sweaters for sale and a wide television behind playing episodes of Friends! There are seating options both outside and inside, but I didn't have trouble finding a place to sit & camp for about half an hour. Service was chill. You can tell they're used to customers being in awe of the aesthetic. I'm sure they're all used to being busy. One thing I appreciated is that no matter how busy the counter was, there was always someone around cleaning tables expeditiously for new visitors. I ordered their seasonal red sangria, but they have plenty of other options [(red/white) sangria, food, beer, and of course coffee].

For takeout, I got a mango mousse (nicely tart), a crème brûlée kouign-amann, and a rose raspberry bowtie. Everything tasted delicious--just the right amount of sweetness, not overly sweet at all. On the second day, I ordered takeout again: an almond croissant, a rocket pop pain suisse, and the crème brûlée kouign-amann once more. Anne was polite, super friendly, and very helpful with menu recommendations. On the first day when I ordered takeout, Anne even kept the pastries chilled for me because I couldn't walk around the area carrying them in the intense heat without them spoiling before I reached the hotel. The banana tastes nicely sweet and fresh, creamed with miso adding that hint of savory goodness and topped with caramel. The croissant was beautifully flakey, buttery. Altogether they make for a really refreshing treat, it's not too sweet, which, as we all know, is the highest form of compliment a treat can be! Upon walking in the shop I was greeted by several staff (in a graceful, friendly, not over the top way) which is lovely for a morning vibe where I'm still yet to get my caffeine fix. Just the right amount of love and jolly. I sat outside by the park/plaza to enjoy a nice morning with my coffee and this pastry. Excellent addition to the neighborhood!
