We immediately called our go-to plumbing company Gallegos Plumbing. They have serviced our main home as well as a rental we own, and we have had outstanding service every time. They sent Will to determine if it could be repaired or if we needed to replace it. We had been thinking about replacing our big tank with a tankless water heater so we asked Will to give us some information on savings, water usage, maintenance costs etc. Will was very knowledgeable and gave us all the pros and cons. We decided to get the tankless. The next day Gallegos texted us at 8:00 am to tell us when the installers, Nick and Spencer would arrive. They arrived showed up ready for work by 9:00 am. They were so courteous, explained everything they were going to do, did some minor repairs to the venting before finishing the job in about 5-1/2 hours. They tested everything before leaving and hauled our old tank away, leaving everything swept and clean. I'm off to finally take a hot shower!

He was able to identify where the leak was coming from and clearly explained the situation to us. Very straightforward and trustworthy. Would definitely recommend!

I called around and spoke to several businesses before connecting with Pablo. A gas company free…read moreinspection discovered that my water heater vent was not functioning properly, so they shut if off and told me to get it repaired/addressed by professionals. The first company that came out charged me $99 for an inspection and estimate and claimed that I needed to replace all my vents (switching from single-wall to double-wall). Pablo, however, explained that this was unnecessary -- he could redo sections and install a new cap on the roof for about a quarter of the other company's estimate. During my research, I also considered installing a tankless water heater to avoid dealing with vents altogether and obtained estimates for that option. Pablo offered to install a high-quality tankless at a reasonable price, while other companies suggested lower-quality units at equal or higher prices. I decided to accept Pablo's bid and am glad I did, because he provided excellent work. I really appreciate his reasonable pricing and straightforward approach. He also responded to my request quickly and went out the same day to inspect the issue and completed the work the following morning.

Most recently,…read moreour kitchen sink backed up after a certain national company recommended more than $5,000 of descaling and root removal. Vizzo took a much more measured approach, cleared the kitchen line, and demonstrated that the main-line issue was likely simply a sag where water collects rather than a root blockage. This was done at a fraction of the other plumber's quote and with upfront pricing. A few months earlier, they also fixed a shower leaking into our garage at a very reasonable price. Both times they were straightforward and practical. They are a family business and did not pressure us with an upsell. I will definitely use them again.

When the sink backed up again, they recommended another $5,289 of descaling and root removal. When I asked why the prior inspection had not identified these issues, I was told, "I don't know who did that work," and that the location had changed ownership and fired all the previous technicians. That response did not inspire confidence. I got a second opinion. The other plumber questioned the root diagnosis, descaled the kitchen line for $250, and said there may instead be a sag in the main line where water collects. The difference in diagnosis, scope, and price was extreme.
