This restaurant is located inside of Embassy Suites with an oceanfront view. The food was good, and the staff were really nice.

Coastal Grill is located inside the Embassy Suits hotel. It's convenient for guests and features a full bar. The food is good, although nothing really stood out. Portions are big, but it's a bit overpriced and quality doesn't fit the price. I would recommend going next door to Vintage Twelve instead. I tried the pizza, hummus, and chicken sandwich while I was staying at Embassy and it was good, but spendy. Pizza was very greasy and definitely not enough pita with the hummus but had a good array of veggies. The chicken sandwich was good and the croissant bun was delicious. Service was always great and view from the ocean is nice. I think it's a nice place to grab drinks and convenient if your hungry, but not necessarily a place I would say you have to visit if in Myrtle Beach.

I was staying on property and on night one I had a tasty Appletini from the bar! We wanted to order takeout on night #2 but couldn't find the current menu so I posted it here!

Ras our waiter & bartender was very friendly. Restaurant was open pretty late and the food was good. They have TVs with sports channel and it's clean & spacious environment. No need to leave the hotel late at night to have a good drink when you can just go here

Poor service , dirty. Came for dessert after a long day ... if no one cares about the dirt in the dining room there is no telling what the kitchen looks like!!!

We made eye contact with both bartenders multiple times while sitting there, and they completely ignored us. Not once did anyone acknowledge us, ask if we needed a drink, or even say they'd be right with us. It wasn't like the bar was slammed either--we were just... invisible. After sitting there long enough realizing we clearly weren't going to be served, we left. Pretty disappointing experience, especially during an event when you'd expect staff to be attentive.

The staff are all super friendly and the place itself is an awesome firehouse with tons of TVs and sports on. On to the food, we got tons of wings like buffalo, old bay, thai chili and they were all really solid. We also got grouper fish sticks and nachos which were good too but the wings were the better appetizer. The Ribeye steak sandwich was really awesome, a really good piece of meat grilled to a nice medium rare, as i was eating it I asked myself why i even got it as a sandwich because the meat was soo good alone. The fries are also very crispy. They have a nice beer selection but I think blue moons were $8-9 on draft so they added up quick! Would definitely come back again next year!

They had a decent selection of beers, and I even got to try a new one. Where they really shine is the crab dishes and burgers. I had the crab stuffed pretzels and it was perfection. I was expecting more of a tavern or a brewery vibe which it does not have. It's in a strip mall and it feels like it's in a strip mall. It was VERY CLEAN and the bartender was friendly enough but the beer selection did not impress. Even though 20 taps sound like a lot, it didn't feel like it when I was trying to select a beer. And the food...do not go there hungry or at least do not expect a meal. We ordered Garlic Parmesan wings and got 5 for something like $8. They were tasty but looked like they came from a cornish hen. Seriously tiny. And the quesadilla was adequate but simple and unimpressive. Overall, not a bad place to get a drink, I just wouldn't go out of my way again.

The batter was not as good as we were expecting, and it was rather on bland and tasteless side. It worked ok for the oyster and shrimp since they have a little taste themselves, but didn't do well for the scallops and clams (we didn't finish the clams). The fries were ok and not the best we have had either. The crab stuffed mushrooms were just ok. The best thing was definitely the clam chowder and coleslaw. Staff was friendly and attentive, and dine in area nice. Overall, we had a ok experience but definitely not worth the price we paid.

It's good--a solid version with generous chunks of crab and a comforting flavor profile. While it wasn't served piping hot initially, the staff was amazing when I asked to warm it up a bit more--they even topped it off with extra soup. That kind of service deserves a shout-out! What held it back from being the best in the area for me? Personal preference. I like a thicker, creamier base with a bit more sherry and bold crab seasoning. This one was just a little lighter in those aspects. Still, if you're jonesing for she crab soup and need a fix, this place works! Add in the full bar and a small but solid tap selection (5 beers), and it's worth a visit--especially if you're nearby. #NewEnglandFishHouse #SheCrabSoupFix #SeafoodStop #CrabLovers #SoupSeason #ComfortFoodCravings #FoodieReview #OysterBarVibes #SolidBite #ServiceMatters #WorthATry #SupportLocalEats

Helen and I discovered it while scouting out local spots, and its location couldn't be better--just steps from the scenic Conway Riverwalk, surrounded by charming shops and historic buildings. Even the street parking (easy parallel with a two-hour window) felt like part of the laid-back, small-town experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit just right: cozy, welcoming, and full of locals who clearly know a good thing when they see it. The staff made us feel right at home--friendly, attentive, and happy to help us navigate the menu. We kicked things off with the cold lobster dip, and let me tell you--this isn't your average appetizer. Imagine a creamy lobster roll transformed into a rich, indulgent dip, packed with chunks of lobster and served with warm pita points. It was the kind of dish you don't want to share... but have to. Helen went for the Reuben--perfectly stacked with shaved corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and house-made Thousand Island, all grilled on black rye. I opted for the seafood platter with fish and shrimp, cooked to perfection. The fries were hand-cut, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and while the jalapeño dill slaw had a bit more kick than I expected, the rest of the plate absolutely delivered. As we soaked in the atmosphere, we spotted a plate of loaded Brussels sprouts heading to another table--crispy, golden, tossed in garlic parmesan sauce, and topped with bacon and shredded parmesan. Safe to say, that's already on our must-try list for next time. And so is their "Everything but the Hen" wrap--a hearty combo of shaved steak, grilled shrimp, bacon, fresh veggies, provolone, and horseradish mayo wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Yes, it sounds as good as it looks. The best part? After a couple of beers, a full seafood platter, a loaded Reuben, and that incredible lobster dip, our total was still under $50--even with tip and tax. Great food, great prices, and a relaxed, local vibe--The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill has officially earned a spot on our regular rotation. We'll definitely be back for more.
