Went here for the 1st time on Friday September 25th 2026 with my parents and friends. We were walking around Market Commons and decided to stop here for some appetizers plus we had an free appetizer coupon to use. So we walked in and was greeted by a hostess, and we told her that we wanted to sit outside. She took us outside. Our server was nice and greeted us right away. We all got some waters. My mom and I got some cherry vodka with sprite, while my dad got beers. Gordon Biersch is basically a beer garden that has beers, as well as some slight bar food. I do think that they had a small menu and not much options. but they do have the typical burger and pizza. All we got was appetizers and we got the southwestern eggrolls, pretyzels, and chili wings. Oh, and unsure why they only have bone-in wings, as we often like boneless. Anyways, our appetizers came out in a timely manner. the Pretyzel with the beer cheese sauce was excellent, as well as the southwestern eggrolls. didn't want the wings, but they were eaten by others in my party. We also asked for separate checks and was accomodated by. Paid 54.07 for our apps and drinks. paid via a credit card and left a cash tip. May be back for more apps or try lunch next time we are in the area! read more

I am from Tampa Florida and we a lot of breweries so I stopped in for lunch. I got to try their German Burger. It was so good and very juicy. I asked for medium rare and come out pink. It was this best burger I had on my visit to Myrtle beach and the fries were also well seasoned. For lunch they only had a few tables and the younger server was very attentive. read more

Perfect Spot for a Sunny Afternoon Lunch! We stopped into Gordon Biersch Brewery in Myrtle Beach on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon for a late lunch, and we were thrilled to be seated right away in their lovely outdoor dining area. Our server was fantastic--very attentive, bringing out our drinks super quickly and checking in just when we were ready to order. The menu has tons of wonderful options, from fresh salads to hearty sandwiches and their signature brewery-inspired dishes. Prices are a bit on the higher side for lunch, but the quality makes it completely worth it. I went with the Caesar salad topped with salmon, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly dressed--the salmon was cooked just right. My husband ordered the French dip with fries, and he raved about how juicy and tender the beef was. Portions weren't enormous, but they were more than adequate and left us satisfied without feeling stuffed. The highlight was definitely sitting outside in the spring sunshine, people-watching in the vibrant Market Common area while enjoying the relaxed vibe. The patio setup with umbrellas kept it comfortable, and the whole atmosphere felt welcoming and lively in the best way. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Myrtle Beach--great food, excellent service, and that outdoor seating on a perfect day is hard to beat! read more

Stopped in with a bunch of family members recently. 10 adults & 10 kids. We were fortunate to have Josie as our server. She did an excellent job taking care of all of us. I had a few delicious beers-the Schwarzbier (one of my favorites) and a Czech Style Pilsner. I really enjoyed the German Burger, as did a few others in the group. Can always count on a good dining experience at Gordon's. read more

I just came to say that the thin, herby garlic fries are a thing here. As in, if you only ate those, you'd have a 5-star, crispy, garlicky experience like no other anywhere else, ever. Honestly, where else could you find fries like this anywhere? Please drop a comment and let me know. These fries are something you never knew you loved, but once you've had them you will always want them again. We used to eat at another location and loved the beer and burgers. I was sad to see that there is only one location left but we do love Myrtle Beach. So I am taking the time to do this quick review for you all, there. We liked the seasonal burger with the märzen sauce, cheddar and red onions that they featured, at the time. And the happy hours. Don't forget the fries. That's all. read more

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant is located in The Market Common at Myrtle Beach. They are open Sun - Thu 11AM - 10PM and Fri - Sat 11AM - 11PM. This spot's known for its craft German-style beers and solid pub grub. I'm not much of a beer person, so I came here for the food. I kicked things off with the buffalo wings. They were cooked just right, perfectly sauced, and full of flavor. Really solid quality. I noticed chicken schnitzel on the menu and decided to order it for my entree since it was the house specialty and something I hadn't tried before. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. While the chicken itself was tender, the breading was soggy rather than crispy and fell off as soon as I cut into it. The roasted garlic mashed potatoes served on the side were also a bit dry. My mom and sister split the beyond burger with coleslaw. They both enjoyed it. The burger was juicy and the coleslaw was fresh and creamy. Our server was okay. She was attentive, but not particularly warm or friendly. Gordon Biersch has indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup and delivery are both available. We stopped here on a whim while in the Market Commons. The inside has 2 clear sections with a bar on one side and family tabletop/booth dining. The bar section appeared to be high top only. This bar section had TVs surrounding it and offered seasonal as well as typical drinks. Off in the dining section there was a hops tank where I suppose at one point they offered their house brewed options. They may still offer it but I didn't see it. On the menu is the typical fare - chicken, steak, fish. The sides are also of the same variety - potatoes, veggies, rice. As of winter 2025 their seasonal menu was held together by a theme of hot honey. I tried the grilled chicken drizzled with it and surprisingly it actually had a little kick. The portions were large even for the kids choices and the prices were reasonable. I highly suggest if you go to try the seasonal menu choices. They give you a chance to try something a little different and the walk it off by getting the surrounding stores in the Market Commons. It's a great area giving the feel of its own smallish community. Most places have been able to survive the last several years including this restaurant. read more

I didn't like this place as much as I expected to like it I had the cheeseburger that was basically a frozen Sysco patty overcooked even when I ordered medium rare. But given the thinness of the patty, you could go from rare to dried out with a bat of an eye. My husband had a gogginzola ribeye, with way too much gogginzola. But the steak itself was cooked correctly and was tasty. The star of the evening was the brownie Sunday. That, rich brownie, hot fudge, carnal sauce with vanilla ice cream was definitely shareable and the stuff sweet dreams are made from. Service was fair and ambiance was sports bar like. read more

Honestly if I could give this place a zero I would even though the server was nice he only came three times the first was to greet and take are drink order then to take are food order and to give us the bill he did not give us a single refill on are drinks. Then a different server came and delivered are food which I get if he was busy with another table but I saw him just standing around and then when are food came it was cold and both are steaks were over cooked we ordered medium and both were well done and he did comp only one from are bill which was ok but overall I would not recommend this place. read more

This place is in a great location. We sat on the patio with friends. Mango Rum Punch was delicious, very sweet if you like those kind of drinks. I had the Schnitzel. Very good! Large portion. Plenty enough for 2. Hubby got the Ahu Tuna. He loved it. Service was mid. read more

Absolutely Blown Away! We recently visited Gordon Biersch Brewery and were totally impressed--especially with the Fish & Chips. Easily ranks among the best I've had in the U.S., and surprisingly close to the quality I've enjoyed in England. The portion was generous, the batter light and crispy, and the fish perfectly cooked. I opted for the garlic fries--an excellent choice. My wife ordered the Voodoo Burger, which was massive, juicy, and cooked to perfection. She loved it. We sat outside, enjoyed some great people-watching, and paired our meal with one of their outstanding IPA craft beers. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is packed with intriguing options, and I'm already planning my next visit to try more. Highly recommended for a relaxed and delicious brunch! read more

First of all, let's talk about our server, Raymond. Everybody loves Raymond! Well, we did, anyway, and we feel he's such a fine server that EVERYbody should love him. Gordon Biersch is in a great location, surrounded by stores and public spaces. The building is in new condition, and the furnishings are upscale, yet comfortable. We both enjoyed the dishes we ordered, and we were assured by Raymond that I had no worries with the food I ate. Raymond checked every food item for my sensitivities. Thanks to all for a lovely meal! read more

We had amazing service, we were seated quickly, and the food was delicious. Our server was amazing. I wish I remembered his name to give him his kudos. He made sure to take care of us and was on top of things. My mom's salad was the last to come out. He kept in constant communication with her and informed his lead of the situation. It was handled with grace. We ate our wings and ended up ordering more. They were delicious. The location is in a shopping plaza. We were able to walk around and visit other stores after our meal. If we make it back to Myrtle Beach, I would love to visit again. read more

Easter Sunday night about 7:00 PM. Stopped in for dinner, there was no hostess on duty at the time. The bar tender looked over at us multiple times and made no effort to communicate. The servers were gathered near the line window and made no effort to greet us, one waiter walked towards us and I waved to him. He immediately turned around and high tailed in the opposite direction...at that time we laughed and walked out. We spent $200.00+ that evening on the next corner read more

Very disappointed we come every year on vacation . Tonight was my son's 5th birthday and we asked the waitress to sing to him she told me they didn't sing but that she would bring a candle so we could . Bella was our server she was very inattentive and slow. The restaurant wasn't even busy . We ordered a brownie and she brought it out without the candle . Didn't even notice or apologize . Later comes by and said whoops and still didn't wish him a happy bday. My husbands Cesar salad had 5 pieces of chicken in it . Overall we won't be back . read more

I am so sad... I am a part time Murrells Inlet resident and I never miss a visit to Gordon Biersch for the best Reuben sandwich I have ever tasted. Our party of 3 adults and 1 kid arrived Sunday evening at 6:30 no reservations. The restaurant was not busy at all- many booths and tables were empty. There looked plenty of servers walking the restaurant and two bar tenders behind the bar. All 4 of us walked in together...and we waited....And waited and waited some more. Both bartenders looked over, a waiter came to the bar for their drink orders looked over...another waiter was clearing a table feet from us....we waited. Not a single employee greeted us or said a single word to us! For 5 minutes we waited!!! Nothing! We were clearly seen by at least 4 staff members! Completely mind blown! We had enough time to plot our next restaurant choice and collectively decided they didn't want our business! Don't waste your time! Had an amazing meal at King Street Grille! read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From the moment I walked into Gordon Birch Brewery at Market Commons, the atmosphere felt more like a tired chain restaurant than a brewery worth its name. I ordered a steak, and what I got was a slimy, low-quality piece of meat you'd expect at a run-down greasy spoon--not at these prices. Speaking of prices, everything here is shockingly overpriced for the quality of food and the lackluster presentation. The service was no better. My waiter looked like he had just clocked out from an auto parts store--disinterested, unprofessional, and not the least bit attentive. Between the terrible food, inflated prices, and uninspired service, I left regretting the entire experience. Save your money and your appetite. There are plenty of better places in the area. read more

DH and I ate at this restaurant the other day. It was my birthday and we spent the day in Myrtle beach. We've been to GB in Hawaii and Maryland and was looking forward to a good lunch, based on past experiences. I really don't like to write negative reviews, as I like to give a place a chance, BUT the bathroom smelled of urine (DH said the same thing in the men's bathroom). Ick! The dining room was dark that we had to use are flashlights on our cellphone to read the menu. And the music was pretty loud. My tuna poke rice bowl was extremely salty because the rice was drenched with too much soy sauce. The menu stated one of the ingrediens was avocado, but there was none in the bowl! It took at least 10 minutes for me to get our waiter's attention. He finally came over and I asked for a bowl of plain rice. I got the bowl of rice, shook off as much soy sauce as possible and added it to the new rice. I would have appreciated if the waiter offered to provide a fresh dish. He never came back to check to see if I was satisfied. After we paid our bill, we said, "Thank you." and he ignored us. read more

There were 8 of us that went there for dinner May 16. Our waiter couldn't understand much. I am a diabetic and was trying to tel him the drink I wanted and he didn't understand a thing obviously because my blood sugar reflected it. He brought me my drink and I thought it tasted funny but I usually have it with mint not basil. I presumed that might be the issue but it tasted sweet and I can't have that obviously. I looked at my blood sugar and it went from normal to high and I had only had 1/2 of the drink because I was trying to figure out the weird taste. I sent it back and he still couldn't even get it right. I don't care that they charged me but they shouldn't have. I even went to the bar and the bartender ignored me because the waiter was telling him about my drink. We used to like this place but I will never go back and neither will my friends so over his incompetence of understanding a drink order and them not being able to make me another until we were ready to leave none of us will return there. To bad because we liked the place but with the bartender and his attitude even when he came over to our table when we were ready to leave to find out the problem he could have cared less. He was extremely busy so I get it but the waiter was totally incapable of handling a party and understanding an order. Bye Gordon Biersch you lost 8 people returning. read more

After running some errands, we decided to go to Gordon Bietsch restaurant for lunch. They have finally opened their patio for fur babies. He decided on one of their special salads- the Gorgonzola pear salad and I was very lucky to discover they had tuna poke, one of my favorite things to eat. Neither one of us was disappointed in our meal. We both ate our entire entrees. I can't wait to go back. Will I come back here? You know I will. If you see me there, stop by and say hello. read more

Came here before a flight on a Sunday evening to hang out for a few hours - everything was great! Both craft beers and cocktails were delicious, service was attentive, and food was tasty. For a small appetizer, we ordered the garlic fries to share (side - $2.99). They were very crispy and flavorful with a TON of garlic on top. For entrees, my friend ordered the side Caesar salad and brussel sprout appetizer which she enjoyed both of. I ordered the gorgonzola pear salad which was one of the best salads I've had. It came with gorgonzola, pears, blackberries blueberries, and craisins on top. The chicken that came on the salad had a very interesting breading - not sure what it was, but super flavorful and it complemented the salad well. Prices were a little high compared to other places we had dined at during our stay, but this was our only experience at market commons, so I assume the prices were on par with other restaurants in that area. read more

It has been a really long time since we have eaten at Gordon Biersch and man the menu has changed (and in a positive way). We started our meal off with the cheese curds and they were outstanding. Some of the best cheese curds outside of Wisconsin. I got the Marzen to drink which is my go to beer when at GB and it was good as always. Nice and hoppy just as German biers should be. I got the Marzen Sausage Platter with garlic fries and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Don't judge the carb fest. The sausage is more like bratwursts and is made in house. This was some of the best homemade sausage I have had at a restaurant. The dish is served with their pub sauce and a Marzen mustard. The mustard was really good and had a nice and subtle hint of horseradish in it. The mashed potatoes and fries were good but could have beena little more garlicky, but that's just me. The hubs got the Red Eye Jambalaya and was very disappointed with it. When you think of jambalaya you typically picture a nice, saucy dish but this was not saucy at all. It was as if the rice soaked up what little sauce was in there. He tried to get past the lack of sauce but couldn't and ended up just picking out the sausage and shrimp. We finished our meal with the homemade apple bread pudding which was very good. Overall, the service was excellent and aside from the hubs entree, the food was really good. Will definitely get by here again next time we are in town. read more

The only good thing we experienced was the service and the garlic fries. One of our drinks was literally just strawberries and vodka thrown in a glass when it was advertised as a mixed cocktail, my dirty martini was half way filled and they ran out of most of beer options at brewery? Do not order the chicken schnitzel it was way overpriced and soaked in sauce and soggy. The French Dip tastes better at Arby's and the burger tastes better at Burger King. Would not recommend eating here. read more

I really enjoyed visiting this place. The ambiance is a step above a sports bar and has an interesting aesthetic. The service was pretty good and the waiter was polite and funny. But the best part (obviously) was the food. Even though its typical american fare, it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The wagyu burger was perfect, the wings were flavorful and the flavor selection was interesting (in a good way) and the portions were filling. I will absolutely return when in the area. read more

Albeit this isn't a traditional German biergarten by any means, I liked it. Guess more so an American gastropub concept. I don't know. They had German brews, so the important stuff.
