Awesome tribute to us veterans , service slow but that's ok because all locals show up as regulars and have lots of info to share , food is ok like grandmas kitchen. Ambiance cool and lots of nostalgia to look at. Casual cafe style dining

We came here to see the memorabilia but ended up having an amazing breakfast too! The amount of military history is worth the visit alone but their solid breakfast choices were freshly prepared and delicious.

Food and service fantastic. Not to mention all of the memorabilia honoring all veterans.

Counter area and only a small sampling of the memorabilia

Great food great service. Open Tue - Thur for breakfast and lunch excellent prices. The entire restaurant is decorated with with military history with a respect and a pride you don't see often. It is a mini museum with an excellent restaurant inside open to the public. Worth the trip to see and enjoy from anywhere!

Best cheesesteak I've had in the Myrtle Beach area and very neat war memorabilia all over the walls.

Call ahead they will reserve you a table & have your food waiting on you when you get there

Certainly does not appear to be friendly to veterans. Don't represent yourselves one way and act another.

After landing at Myrtle Beach International Airport, my friend and I headed straight to Simply…read moreSouthern Smokehouse for lunch--and it was the perfect way to experience Southern hospitality. If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

After trying a few well ranked places in Myrtle Beach, I lost hope in finding something to make my…read moremouth happy. I came across this place and it had two things to make me want to try it - all you can eat, and a low price point including the drink. If the food is going to be bad, at least let me eat as much as I want of the bad food. I walked into a roomy place and was immediately greeted. I was told that they were super packed, but they would get me a seat ASAP. Having so many people waiting in line was a good sign. Having so many ethnicities waiting in line was an even better sign. I looked at who was cooking, and saw a whole bunch of White dudes. Just for the record, being from New Orleans, we have plenty of White people we trust to cook. "Cajun" is a type of cooking for a reason. Having a bunch of White guys cooking, was not the only observation I had about the collective. All those White guys looked like they served time. Once again, being from New Orleans, I do not look down on people that served time. That's many of the residents of New Orleans. Good people that may have got caught up on the wrong side of the law does not make someone ineligible to cook. The time serving looking White guys actually made me excited to taste the food. I've written too much already, so let me wrap this up. There were plenty of sides and proteins that were getting replenished often. I actually tasted spices on the food. The desserts were actually tasty. This place would see me again if I come to Myrtle Beach. Will you be blown away with spices? Not at all. Will you appreciate that they actually used spices? Yes you will. I think you would be happy to try this food.

So we walked in and was greeted by a hostess, and we told her that we wanted to sit outside. She took us outside. Our server was nice and greeted us right away. We all got some waters. My mom and I got some cherry vodka with sprite, while my dad got beers. Gordon Biersch is basically a beer garden that has beers, as well as some slight bar food. I do think that they had a small menu and not much options. but they do have the typical burger and pizza. All we got was appetizers and we got the southwestern eggrolls, pretyzels, and chili wings. Oh, and unsure why they only have bone-in wings, as we often like boneless. Anyways, our appetizers came out in a timely manner. the Pretyzel with the beer cheese sauce was excellent, as well as the southwestern eggrolls. didn't want the wings, but they were eaten by others in my party. We also asked for separate checks and was accomodated by. Paid 54.07 for our apps and drinks. paid via a credit card and left a cash tip. May be back for more apps or try lunch next time we are in the area!
