Great place to grab some amazing Asian cuisine and good drinks in North Hills. A friend of mine and I decided to grab a bite one Friday evening. I've been here for drinks before, but never to eat so I was excited to try it out for a last-minute dinner! Firstly, it's located in North Hills near AC Hotel and across from Stir and The Capital Grille. The best place to park is in the parking deck that's attached to the building that houses Stir and Capital Grille. Just make sure to check the signs because it's an office building as well so there are some restrictions in certain areas of the deck. First off drinks they are very good, strong enough (but not too strong), and well-priced for the quality that you get. Now the next important part, the food. DELICIOUS! We decided to get a few things and share, which I've found is the best way to do things when you go out to eat nowadays. We ordered the crispy rice, Golden sushi roll, crab rangoons, and fresh summer rolls. The crispy rice was amazing and crisped to perfection. I also loved all of the other food, but I wasn't a huge fan of the fresh summer rolls. It wasn't that they were not good, but I would say more of a preference. They were cold and I didn't love the texture. I would highly recommend trying this out! I will be back! read more

It's North Hills! Parking can be super fun. Great way to obtain additional steps! CO is directly across the street from STIR, so let's start there. Nice indoor dining area similar to most of the locations within North Hills... The Pad Thai was delicious! One of the greater ones left here in Raleigh. CO is a Asian fusion restaurant located in the North Hills development of Raleigh. I found the happy hour ambiance to be bustling: a busy, happening place to be. The environment is paper-menu / paper-napkin casual, nothing wrong with that, but CO is not a 'fancy' spot. The service was good, given how busy they were: fast & friendly. The sushi appetizer was *very* good. The tip-off was that the rice quality was sushi-perfect. (a giveaway if you're really a sushi person) The main Thai Basil dish was a bit disappointing. Along with pad-thai, Thai Basil is a 'standard' that many places offer, so the bar is set pretty high. I will go back to CO, but I'll stick to their strengths. read more

This is my second visit to CO. First dined @ the Durham location and this go around, we tried @ North Hills. Have to say we enjoyed our visit. Took advantage of the Monday happy hour menu and the plates that stood out was the crab Rangoon (that sweet Thai chili sauce is EVERYTHING!), curry tofu broth , the salmon carpaccio was so good .... just wish the portions were a bit larger.... but perfect for happy hour! We had a few rolls , and dumplings .... as well as the mango summer roll and the bulgogi tacos. I honestly can say we enjoyed it all! And we're very picky. I found this place one day when I was looking for a good Pho place around that was still open and had indoor sitting. I was able to get a last minute reservation on OpenTable and went there. The inside looks nice and I like the decor. It didn't take long for them to sit us and since I already had checked the menu before arriving I knew what I wanted. I ordered the PHO for myself and it was very good and herby, just like how I expected it to be so my 5 stars is based on my own food. My husband ordered the MASA RAMEN. He usually likes Tonkotsu ramen but they didn't have it so he decided to try the Masa since the menu says that the Masa is "served in a Tonkotsu broth". My husband didn't like his ramen because the broth was pure garlic, there was no Tonkotsu broth flavor at all. I don't like pork flavor but I tried his broth and yeah it was just garlic (which I love) so I understand his frustration. I also ordered a dessert called STRAWBERRY SPRING ROLLS with Nutella dipping sauce and it was pretty good. Overall the place is nice and I would go back for the Pho. read more

The food was delicious but the menu doesn't list all of the ingredients. As someone with dietary restrictions it would be helpful to have. Our service was fantastic and would gladly go again for just the service (be sure to ask for Donna) and welcoming experience. It is a little difficult to know how to enter into the building but once you're there the space is laid out well and the decor is simple but chic. We had a reservation at 12:00 PM on a Tuesday. We arrived right at 12 and I was seated right away as my husband found a park - we had our choice of seating. I chose a high top near the bar. Our waiter was amazing. He started us off by bringing out waters and checked on us periodically. We put in our drink orders. Sake was half off - my husband had the blackberry sake and pineapple sake. My husband and I went for an early dinner on a Thursday which just happened to be during their Happy Hour. They had several specials so we got the Edamame Spring Rolls for $4 each. My husband said they were the best spring roll he's ever had. I agree that they were the perfect texture of crispy and tender. He got the Spicy Udon noodles for his meal saying "it was everything I wanted it to be and more." I got a Kung Fu Roll which was so fresh and so flavorful! Everything was amazing. "North Hills Asian Fusion restaurant with nice outdoor patio" We stopped by here on a Saturday early evening because Cowfish had a 100 minute wait. We were attracted by the large outdoor patio-- nice for being COVID-safe. And it wasn't (yet) crowded. I ordered the drunken Thai noodles with shrimp, and my son got the chicken katsu banh mi. Menu price was a little higher than I may have guessed a priori (e.g., about $20 for the noodles pre-tax and pre-tip), but it's a ritzy area, so not crazy. Service was attentive-- they refilled our waters multiple times without us asking. And we got our food at a reasonable time-- maybe a little over 15 minutes after we ordered. The quality was good. My son loved his banh mi. The drunken noodles were a little greasy, but the quality was still good overall (including the shrimp, which mercifully didn't have tails on) and the amount was quite large. I finished my dish, but BARELY so. We all split an order of strawberry spring rolls -- if you haven't had these, they are delish... worth a try. They come with nutella. Overall, a solid option in a good outdoor setting in North Hills. I recommend. By the way, if you have an electric (or plug-in hybrid) vehicle, there's a free parking option with free charging in the Harris Teeter garage across the street. read more

Brought my bride here for a "date night" dinner. Service was spotty, the food was okay, but the variety was lacking, atmosphere was just strange and TOO LOUD. Service: Our server stopped by, didn't know who was assigned to us and said she'd check, and it turned out she was our server. She would disappear for long lengths of time and as such, it took a very long time to get our orders placed, to get drinks refilled, to have any follow up after our food was delivered. It did not appear to be a particularly busy evening. Food: just an overall lack of variety on the menu - only 5 selections for sushi, only a handful of selections for Thai dishes etc. My bride loves Thai food and I love sushi, and we were quite underwhelmed with what CO had to offer. What we did finally settle on, was okay. I don't think I'll order the Spicy Udon noodles again, but my bride was satisfied with her Thai Basil Chicken. Atmosphere - OMG, I'm out for dinner with my wife, not the club scene. TURN THE CLUB MUSIC DOWN so we can have a conversation with each other and communicate with our server without yelling. Last weekend I met with my sister's wedding party for lunch. We decided to try CO Raleigh located in North Hills. They serve southeast asian cuisine and have an extensive menu. The ambiance is very warm and inviting and the drinks are pretty good. Service was friendly but It took a while for them to take our orders and also for the food to come out once ordered, but everything tasted good. I would recommend the sushi rolls and dumplings. I ordered the fried rice and wish I'd ordered something else to accompany it as I felt it was a side more than a main dish. I am very understanding of all that can possibly go wrong in a restaurant. Waiting over two hours for our entrees was not how I intended to spend the night; however, what made it worse was the complete and utter lack of communication and acknowledgement from our server. She passed by our table of empty drinks several times. When the appetizers finally arrived, she also passed those by several times without checking in. If something is going wrong in the kitchen (which is what it seems other servers were blaming it on), I would at least expect the server to communicate such issues to the table. I came here for Happy Hour yesterday with a friend and we had a fantastic time! We ordered a silly amount of food and drinks because the specials were too good to pass up: - Edamame: huge portion! And it was only $3! Perfectly steamed and salted. - Mango roll: super light and fresh - you could really taste the mint which I loved. The peanut dipping sauce was also good. Only thing is it said mango avocado in the description and ours had a very thin slice of mango and no avocado, so it was basically cucumber and mint. $3 - Crab Rangoons: my friend said they were really tasty! $4 - Wings: Yum! The sauce was really zesty and savory and they were cooked perfectly. $5 - Salmon and Avocado roll: I wish I would've gotten a photo of this because honestly it was disappointing. Maybe there was an avocado shortage in the kitchen, because it was barely on top of the roll and appeared smashed, not sliced. The amount of salmon on top on the roll was generous and I liked the bite of lemon. What really threw me was how much rice they added! There was a teeny, tiny little piece of salmon inside the roll, and an insane amount of rice. I didn't even try to eat a piece as it was because I knew the rice would overwhelm the fish. Even after deconstructing, it was still so heavy. I had a heaping plate of rice that could probably have served as a side order. Definitely would not order again. It was half price for HH, so $6.25 - Carafes of sake were also half price, so I ordered the regular hot one and it was only $3! Super good deal. My friend and I walked out paying about $30 each (a couple things we ordered weren't on the HH menu), which I thought was more than reasonable. We were both full and happy!
