    Firecracker roll
    Arrianna R.

The roll and drink were both very delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only suggestion I would have is some background music for ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went on a Saturday afternoon, but there were still a few people in there and just having the extra layer would have made it a truly nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But overall, very good quality and i would love to come back to try more!

Was able to get a reservation here on Sunday for 4, which was a nice surprise. I think the kitchen was just getting started for the evening because it took a little bit to get our food, but we did have drinks to enjoy and our server was attentive. I delighted in my hibachi and my partner relished the udon noodles. As we were finishing dinner, our server heard me mention it was my birthday and he so very kindly brought me a cheesecake. Such a wonderful experience, especially because we decided to grab a bite here last minute.

I've tried eating here twice in the last two weeks and left both times without ever getting food. The first visit, my coworkers and I came for their BOGO sushi. We were seated, ordered drinks, and then were told their freezer had broken the night before and they could only serve soup. Disappointing, but we left understanding. Still, a heads-up before seating would've been appreciated. We decided to try again the following week. Again, seated quickly, drinks came out, and we placed our orders. After 40 minutes, we had no food and barely saw our server. The restaurant wasn't even busy. One of us had to go into the kitchen to get an update, and we were finally told they were severely short-staffed and it would be another 30 minutes. We waited it out, but by 90 minutes, still nothing. Meanwhile, a large party that came after us got their food -- pretty sure they were given our orders. We ended up canceling everything and walking out -- again. Grabbed sushi from Harris Teeter just to eat something. We had planned around this lunch and missed work meetings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also worth noting: a few of our plates were dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've worked in food service and understand being short-staffed, but the lack of transparency, updates, or basic service is unacceptable. We should've been told the situation up front so we could make a choice. After two failed visits, dirty plates, no food, and a complete waste of time, they honestly owe us money for having to go to Harris Teeter twice for lunch. Won't be back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped by for a quick bite during happy hour. Pretty empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waiter took my order quickly. Did not enjoy the beef and kimchi dumplings. Tuna tataki was okay and salmon carpaccio was so-so. Not pressed to return.

    Yellowtail was perfectly balanced.

Great food, ingredients were fresh, service at the bar was quick and friendly. Very reasonable pricing and happy hour specials to boot. Would definitely dine again.

I wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't for me. The atmosphere was nice. The service was good. But the food was not to my liking. I ordered the Kids pho and omg the broth was terrible. We ordered the Papaya salad with shrimp and that was basically a cabbage salad. What green papaya?! Flavor was good a bit too sweet. It was not spicy at all were not offered to choose a spice level.

Really nice place. Not a huge menu which for me, that's fine. Had the pork and ginger dumplings as an appetizer. They were good. Ordered the Firecracker sushi roll and the Ahi Poke Stack. They were both excellent. Both the server and the hostess were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely go back.

    masa ramen and co's cosmo

absolutely delicious and fabulous!! we ordered the gyoza, cosmopolitans, and masa ramen and it couldn't have been better. the service was fantastic and the owner came over to ask us about our experience and was super friendly and welcoming. i could not recommend this place more! :)

Green papaya salad. More like coleslaw. We couldn't even select a spicy level
    Brad M.

Not impressed. We tried the green papaya salad, the Bun Xao, the Tofu buns and the spicy tuna poke bowl. The bowl felt more like a burrito bowl, they had full slices of bell peppers in there. The flavors of the fish and rice were good, but the peppers were overpowering. The papaya salad was a let down. Most papaya salads are loaded with papaya with a little filler. This is basically coleslaw with a hint of papaya. Flavors were OK, but only comes mild, you don't get the select a spice level. I had a black every bourbon fizz cocktail. That was delicious . Sounded like a great cocktail menu, so it's worth a try. The service was not great either.

Always super good ! My favorite Bang Bang Shrimp (32) crab Rangoons !

Always super good love the food and fast service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In middle of north hills, super chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My friends and I were staying at the AC Hotel in North Hills and this restaurant is located conveniently downstairs just several steps away from the front door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is good but the food leaves you wanting more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our party of 2 ordered: -Shrimp Curry ($12) - overly salty with tiny little frozen shrimp. Would not order again -Pad Thai ($19.50) - overpriced, noodles were good but didn't taste like your typical Thai lunch place. Overly wet and used more of a soy sauce dressing than your typical Pad Thai flavoring - firecracker roll ($16.50) - rice was stale, spicy aioli just tasted like sriracha sauce and overpowered all the other flavors of the roll. -blackberry lychee fizz ($7) - not as carbonated as I would like, tasted pretty flat but it did the job! I appreciated the variety of mocktails to choose from since I was pregnant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In summary, location 10/10, food 6/10, drinks 7/10, ambience 9/10[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    drunken thai noodles with tofu
    Aditi K.

this place is sooo gas. came here with my best friend after a tiring cycle bar workout a little later at night (around 8:30 pm) and we were seated and served immediately. our server was really nice! i ordered the blackberry lychee mocktail and it was delicious! just a little too watery for my taste but otherwise really nice. plus i loved the fresh lychee that came with it. for my meal, i ordered the drunken thai noodles with tofu and they were absolutely incredible. the mushrooms and tofu were almost caramelized and the sauce was delicious. plus the portion was large enough that i packed some for leftovers the next day. my friend ordered the pho with rare beef and she really enjoyed her food too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]we walked into this place because it was nearby, not too fancy looking that we thought we'd be out of place in our exercise clothes, and open beyond 9pm, and accidentally found one of the best meals i've had in the triangle![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Kung Fu Crunch
    Ashley B.

Came here for dinner and had a very pleasant time! It was our first time here, our server was super sweet and the inside is nice and clean. Got appetizers we got the Kung Fu Punch roll and the Pork belly buns; both of which were great. The roll was super flavorful and the buns had a bit of sweetness we enjoyed, although a bit dry. I recommend eating with some soy sauce. For mains we got the Pad Thai and spicy salmon crunch bowl. The bowl was not my favorite, not much flavor and a bit too many vegetables, most of my bites were the greens or seaweed. Needs more salmon and rice! The Pad Thai however was amazing, delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfect, I'd highly recommend trying it. Overall, a good experience!

We came in with some friends on a Monday to celebrate a birthday. My friend has a gluten and dairy allergy, which was actually no problem here. So if that is a dietary concern for you or a loved one - this is a great spot to bring them! We were all able to enjoy a majority of the food. My partner and I both enjoyed a mocktail version of the roselle freezy - it was amazing! Either as a mocktail or a cocktail, you should try this drink. For starters, we had the crispy chicken wings, spring rolls with veggies, and the lettuce wraps. We all enjoyed the chicken wings so much that we got a second order of them. I enjoyed the spring rolls much more than the lettuce wraps as they had more flavor to them. For dinner, we shared an order of the Manda Amphone's Curry and the chicken pad thai. I originally did not expect to be blown away by the pad thai - boy, was I wrong. This is hands down the best pad thai I have ever had. If you love pad thai, you need to try theirs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the curry. Both dishes were rich and flavorful and came with enough to share between 4 adults. Overall, not having been to Bida Manda in 10+ years, I was impressed and will definitely return.

The dining room is huge, but the decor breaks things up a bit and makes your meal feel intimate. Everything is shareable, so I highly recommend visiting with fellow foodies who want to try a little bit of everything. Honestly the entire menu sounded amazing, and it was hard to choose! Thankfully our servers provided some excellent recommendations. The Pork Bao was probably my favorite bite of the night, and may very well have been the best Bao I've ever had. It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.
