Absolutely wasted my time! Had a pick up day for Sunday, last pick up of the day. the crew didn't take every that they were supposed to take BUT ASSURED ME they would be able to have somebody back out within two days I've called only to be told the soonest they can get another crew back out is 14 October I have to be out of my current space by the ninth now I have to make other arrangements and waste more money so basically clutter put me in a worse place than I was before!!! We used clutter to move a few years ago and then they were fantastic. This time was a horrible experience and I do not think they sent movers that were trained. Their packers took the whole day into the evening to pack moving really slowly with 4 guys so it cost approx. $4000 to pack, but did not pack everything (there were items still in cabinets that if they had opened would have seen), packed dishes with heavy items so when we opened the boxes at our new place discovered a lot of dishes were broken and left to take several breaks. We had the agreement where they were supposed to drop off some of our items at storage (one stop) and then take the rest to our new place confirmed twice on the day I reserved them and the day before our move. Instead I got a call that since their movers took too long to pack our items they did not have time to take our stuff to the new place and scheduled to come back a few days later to finish the move so we had to find somewhere else with our kids to stay for those days. Then a few days later they simply did not show up to actually move our items to our new place, I called and kept being told they were just late and everything was fine, and finally someone from Clutter called after we had waited for them for over an hour saying all their movers called in sick suddenly and they could not find replacements, so we had to scramble to find other movers to take our furniture and boxes to our new place. We will never trust to use them again. read more

Beware of Clutter. Do not store things of value. The artwork that I stored with them has vanished while in their custody. Clutter refuses to take responsibility for their negligent actions that caused the loss of my artwork. They say they cannot find the artwork, not that the artwork was stolen. I wonder. I am out over $3,000. It has been eight months, and it is highly probable I will never see my artwork again. It is also Clutter's policy to only communicate with you via email when something goes missing. They will not accept phone calls. There is no way to escalate a complaint further. In addition, watch when they pack your valuables. This service is just ok, I won't use them again or recommend them to be honest. My experience in a nutshell; No $100 amazon card when I scheduled from the promotional link to the site. On the day of pick up they were late and the locator wasn't in real time so I was late to work. The photos of my belongings didn't match the online list. And some you can't even see what the item is. Please note you have to commit to at least 2 months or they will charge you to get stuff earlier. On delivery date they forgot my mattress of all things to forget. They are professional but the system isn't quite what it could be. Basically I worried the whole time while my stuff was away whether I would get it all back. I would rate them negatDo not use them. Where do I start ? They delivered a mattress that was totally disgusting and not mine. I had a sterns and foster and the mattress was a piece of crap. They want to compensate 200 for 1500 bed! The worst is they can not get the mattress out until ; weeks later. Watch it! The return is not so easy. They don't have enough peeps to cover the demands. Can I give zero stars? I don't even know where to start. Do NOT hire this company. This company almost caused a huge catastrophe for my family. If another moving company hadn't stepped in and saved us, my daughter would have missed her very important flight for a study abroad program. We hired them, I got a text notification that they had arrived. I got a phone call and the mover said, "we are here, what is the apartment number?" I told him. He said he would go knock on the door. No knock. My daughter waited, looked outside, and waited. Then we got notification that they had cancelled! and charged us a "no-show" fee of $200! We were panicked! If she didn't move out that day she would have to miss her flight! After many attempts to call back the mover who called me, and Steven, they guy who facilitated things, the person who spoke terrible English who answered the phone would not connect me to him. He said it's against company policy! By the time I eventually got a call back from Steven after many angry phone calls, he told me the crew had clocked out and was unreachable!! What kind of company doesn't bend over backwards to come back after leaving a customer in a lurch! I asked him if he could come 9am the next morning (I would have to change my daughter's flight for an extra $500 and she would be missing important things) But he said he has no crew!! I'd have to wait until the following day! I called another company at 4pm (Fenton Moving) and he went above and beyond to make sure he got her moved out that day. He showed up after 10pm (after all their other jobs) and moved her into the night!! Amazing! Our theory is that the Clutter crew was tired and didn't feel like doing the job. There was no effort at all to find her. What a disgrace! And to not be able to reach your crew? What kind of company is this??? Plenty of companies, don't put yourself though this. They were on time by 30 minutes, efficient, careful and fast. They took the time to listen to everything and their positive energy is motivating during my daunting task to donate, sell and store valuables that were important to me and my family. Requested a quote on yelp for a specific date, got a call back with a confirmation and a pricing quote that I was happy with and proceeded with booking. My established time slot and date had somehow disappeared from the system during the call after I had spent time on the call giving all the details required for service. At the suggestion of the Clutter rep, I booked a date we knew wasn't going to work to hold a spot while it was worked out internally with the dispatchers to get the timeslot I thought I was getting. Long story short, it didn't work out. Shit happens; they tried, it's fine. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way is they made me feel like it was my fault for booking a date that wasn't going to work after I did so at the suggestion of the Clutter rep. Seems like a cool service, but my experience wasn't great. Unreal! Initially advertised and quoted $97 and hour. Fine., no problem. Upped it to $187 an hour when I called. Again fine, no problem. It was for two people and next day service. BUT I only had THREE items I asked them to move. A bed, a couch, and a table. All of which easily broke down and were lite enough that I, as a new mom and petite female, had carried them into the home myself. Because of work and watching my baby I asked them to come move the three items a few buildings down to my new unit, I said I would handle the rest. They proceeded to watch ESPN on their phone, break my couch, and wasted so much time that after 2.5 hours I had to politely ask them to wrap it up AND STILL HAD TO REASSEMBLE MY OWN FURNITURE! It cost me $500 to have my furniture broken and moved a few hundred feet. One of the kids moving was super nice and helpful and made a genuine effort to be kind and time conscious. The other one indifferent. They weren't rude, but they were SLOW and when you charge by the hour that matters. It's about integrity at that point. They also failed to follow basic, clear instructions which again, matters. I've reached out to their customer service on this matter and, as per their lack of integrity, they have not responded. Please do yourself a favor and use another service provider. Especially if you're a parent or a woman. They will take advantage of you and your time. We're a military family and most of our friends in service lean on word of mouth referrals. They also frequently have to use moving and storage services. This was my fourth pick up preparing for a big move. These guys and gal are awesome. They had get attitudes. Thomas was a very professional lead,who judgement was we received by his team. And this was my second time working with Jamónd, although I've requested him every time a scheduled a pick. I liked knowing, since I've worked with Jamond on my first move, my confidence in the job being done well shot through the roof. Keanu was an outstanding helping hand and motivator of the team. Warren, Bobby and Alejandro all work diligently and carefully packing my glass and China breakables. And who needs a radio with Bobby's beautiful voice singing Motown oldies while he worked. My French Bulldog has a reputation with the movers because he is always so happy to see the crews and he loves to steal the tape if your not careful when setting it down. They took it all in stride, never complaining about the occasional four legged distraction. My opinion, The sign of content happy workers, indicate Clutter is a great company that know how to pick great staff. I could not be more please with all four of the teams I've worked with. Returns are super easy to schedule online or on the phone. Moving is extremely stressful and even if you're super organized. Your always running or of boxes, bubble wrap, tape rarely have the right size box for your odd sized items or have too much expensive leftover materials. This company is simply as good as it gets. I booked them back in September and my items are still in storage. The amazingness started when I needed to put my entire house in storage, and quickly. I was frantic and stressed. When I contacted them, I was lucky enough to be put in touch with Dave W., they didn't have any immediate availability for pickup but he worked super hard to move things around and found a way to get a pickup in the timeframe I needed. Not only did Dave go above and beyond to help me schedule a pickup, but he has continuously been helpful, available and he (and everyone I have interacted with at Clutter) genuinely cares to help! The team of guys who picked up my storage items were also fantastic, they were friendly, careful and perfectly inventoried my items. And anytime I have had to call in to make a change to my account or with a question- they answer, are always friendly and they resolve issues immediately (Jorge in accounting is great btw!). Besides the fantastic customer service, the system itself is awesome. I can log on to my account and see a picture of every item I have in storage, I can easily change my payment source and I can schedule drop offs. And best of all, their rates are unbeatable! I was about to go with public storage because I thought I could get this amount of storage space for cheaper, but I ended up calling Clutter back once I realized all the things I would not be getting at Public Storage. First of all, these folks are extremely professional and kind--even when I was telling the guy on the phone I planned on going with Public Storage, he was courteous and told me to keep them in mind for the future. The future ended up being the next day, when I saw that clutter was offering a CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT and slightly more square footage than Public Storage. Also, Public Storage was going to charge me a "sign-up fee" and they were not going to honor their "$1 for the first month" advertisements that are plastered everywhere! That upset me actually. Hidden charges offend me. Clutter gave me the first month free, had no hidden prices, and the price I am paying is not going to hike up in 6 months like it would have at PS. The gentleman who came to take my large, heavy 7 boxes (down the 60 stairs in my building) did so with a smile and no complaints about the heavy boxes or the stairs. This company came highly recommended by a good friend, so I booked them for a move to storage of our entire household--a 3 bedroom house with garage. A phone interview determined the size of our move, and the customer service was top notch. Explanations were clear, and the entire process was coherently presented. A date was booked, and we were good to go. Two factors are crucial to understand here. The first is the fact of our eviction. We made a deal at trial that if we were moved out by 8/31, the eviction would be sealed and would not count against our credit rating. Knowing what a big job we had before us and without having found anywhere else to rent, our approach to the second, largest obstacle became very crucial. We have accumulated a great deal of useful and useless stuff--clutter--over our 12 years together. The clutter is extensive. Overwhelming. Impossible. Where to turn but to the company named after our malady: Clutter. After 3 false starts because there wastrn't enough ready to move, the day rolled around, Sept 6. Move Out day. We were nervous because the clutter was overwhelming and we 'd barely made a dent. In addition, we knew this would be our last day, our last chance, to emerge from this economically roughed up instead of beat to shit. The owner had already secured a judgment, and, after 8/31 could have given it to the OCSD to lock us out after 5 days. She had not served it YET, but because of her repetitive text messages, we could sense her anxiety. Our tension increased as she sent out two trash haulers to bid on removal of what we left behind. Before we even knew what would be left behind. It felt like the undertaker measuring the condemned cowboy for a coffin before he is hung. In our case, it would be like measuring a suicide bomber for a coffin. We knew going in that stuff would have to be left behind, discarded. And as we struggled to cope with the immensity of the task before us, it became clearer and clearer to me that we needed professional help. Who better to deal with the clutter than the company whose name suggests that they are expert removers of clutter. So I went back to their website and saw something I hadn't seen before. Clutter packs as well as moves and stores. When I spoke to the agent about packing, I told her we had a disorganized me and clutter was a bit of an understatement. She said it wasn't a problem as long as there was room to work. She even added another reservation for the day after in case it couldn't be done in one day. On the day of the move, here's what happened. Nothing. The 4 man crew with two trucks arrived 45 minutes late, looked in the house, and declared it an impossible task. He wouldn't expose his crew to such danger. Apparently, the stacks of linen were deemed extremely likely to fall and crush them. He protested that it was a two day job; I countered that they were reserved for tomorrow as well. It was unsanitary he said. Dishes were piled in the sink, but there was no smell or obvious signs of rot and decay. So after a call to his supervisor, the Clutter crew was allowed to leave my clutter untouched,refusing to do what they claim to be experts at. Ours was not a simple matter of moving a household. Because of their refusal to move us, today the OCSD came by to give us 5 days to get out. Clutter was the hope I held out for but they failed me disastrously. The company is called Clutter, but they are I'll equipped to handle even that. If I had one recommendation it would be this: stop doing estimates on the phone. Consumers don't have certain knowledge of how many boxes and what size truck they need. Our situation could have been avoided if someone had come out to eyeball our house to determine if their crews could handle the job.
