I didn't want to leave a bad review, I tried calling though and someone picked up phone, said nothing, hung up and then wouldn't answer again when I called back several times ( one hour before closing). So here it is...the service was excellent, sweet little gal at the register was bright and kind and very accommodating so let's give her a 5 star. Now the product, we can't even eat it. Batter uncooked so mushy, oil was old, and gave it very funky taste. Lastly the chicken had a funny smell. The dark and white meat is combined together in a way I've never seen, it was tough and stringy when i tried to pull apart to see if my dogs would eat it, they wouldn't. The helpings are good size and the fries were quite good although I didn't get the fry dipping sauce I ordered. Thankfully I used a Groupon so this didn't cost me the 30$ it would have. Only 17.50 for the deal. This could have just been a bad day for these guys but we all know fresh oil is key to giving a good flavor and fresh ckn is good too! I hope these guys get it figured out cuz the people are just so nice and a good location and I love to see young people working at these places like I think it builds good skills for life and learning business. Attended the button bash Yelp event at press start and was given a complimentary coupon for a chicken slider at cluckers. I've never been here before but I have heard of it. The staff was very warm and welcoming. We received a very good size chicken slider. I had the original and my guest had the korean. Both were very good. the pickles were great. We ordered some wings and fried pickles as a side. the portions were immense. I was shocked at how much food there was. The wings also came with fries and dipping sauces. Great experience at Cluckers tonight! We were playing video games next door and ordered at the window inside Press Start. (How cool is that!?) They gave us a pager so we got to keep playing while we waited for our food. We ordered a spicy clucker and an original. Both were great. The chicken was juicy and the portion size was good. First time in to cluckers close to home so i decided I'd try it out now it's a small place but it's clean bright and cheerful with the colors the two ladies working the front counter were friendly polite and very helpful when o asked questions. Now it's a small menu and prices aren't to bad for the times I order the special chicken strips with fries came with sauces they were good chicken strips were good two were slightly over cooked and tasted burnt on the ends overall the chicken was tender and really tasty the fries were cold and way to salty wasn't able to eat them now overall that's why I give til his place 3/5 stars I would recommend if you go here to make sure to request they ease up on seasonings and salt on the fries and also make sure they give you fresh fries and not whatever is leftover in the tray read more

I got the original chicken sandwich upon my first visit to Cluckers. The lady at the front desk was incredibly nice, and helped me order for my first visit. She recommended the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, but I thought I would try the original first, so I can compare the spicy one later on. She asked if I wanted fry sauce with my food! I have never heard of anyone asking that before. I assumed it was just ketchup and Mayonnaise, but it was amazing, and it went great with the sandwich and the fries. The food was so delicious. It was everything you would want from a chicken sandwich joint. Was it better than a chicken sandwich at Jack In The Box? Most definitely. Was it better than a chicken sandwich you get at Crazy D's? Attended the soft opening this evening. Ordering was a breeze from the order window just inside the door of Press Start who Cluckers shares a building with. The staff was helpful explaining the different menu items available. The gentleman taking my order also was smiling and kind. We tried the Spicy Clucker and the Fried Pickles. The Clucker was spicy and cooked well. Slightly salty to my tastebuds but not to my daughter's. The fried pickles were gone with in a matter of minutes. There are three choices of sauces: ketchup, fries sauce, and ranch. Seating is available inside Press Start and appears outdoor seating may be available at a later date. First time there for fried chicken. I ordered the Korean, and the Supreme chicken sandwich, as well as the wings and fries. They give a very generous amount of fries, but they are quite mediocre. What my girlfriend and I really liked was the Korean sandwich. It was really good. The Supreme sandwich lacked any distinguishing flavor. Might have found the best fried chicken sandwich in Reno! I have friends who have said this place is up there with Chick-fil-A and I agree. This new fried chicken restaurant is attached to the arcade bar, Press Start. You can order through a window in Press Start or come in through their main entrance where there are a few indoor tables to sit. The chicken is made to order and comes out cooked perfectly with just the right amount of breading. You don't need a large menu when you are able to perfect the items you do have! There are five different sandwich options to choose from, each one unique with a different flavor profile. I got the spicy chicken sandwich which has a good amount of spice that catches up to you at the end! Each entree comes with a huge amount of hand cut fries. You get your choice of dipping sauce, they have a fry sauce that tastes like a mix of ketchup and ranch. The serving sizes are very generous. We also got the fried pickles which are hand breaded! They were so good paired with the ranch. There are some restaurants where you try their ranch and it is noticeably better than typical ranch you have--this is one of those places! The only downside of the friend pickles were that the togo box was covered in grease from these by the time I got home which made it pretty messy to eat. The hours are currently Wednesday to Saturday from 11:30am to 8pm. They are hoping to add Tuesday soon once they get some more staff. I can't wait to see what else this business does in the future! I agree with another Yelper who suggested them adding chicken tenders to the menu, but they do at least have wings for now to offer something other than sandwiches. When looking for a quick meal, stop here to support a local business instead of opting for lower quality fast food chains...you won't be disappointed! read more

I went with their special at the time which was the chicken tenders with fries and cole slaw for $10, which was amazing for the amount of food you get! Tried this place a few times during their soft opening. The first time my wife and I shared a Cowboy Clucker sandwich and it was definitely the best fried chicken sandwich I have had in Reno and I'd be hard-pressed to remember a better chicken sandwich that I've eaten in a restaurant anywhere. The batter was perfectly crispy and the chicken was very juicy and flavorful. The bacon + sauce all complemented one another very well. The second time we visited my wife and I shared an order of chicken wings and some fried pickles. Both were excellent and worth the price, although not exactly something I would go out of my way to eat again just by personal preference. The third time we again split a Cowboy Clucker because of just how good it was the first time. This time, it was a disappointment. The chicken and bacon were a little dry. Still an enjoyable sandwich, but compared to the first effort, I was disappointed. It was close to closing, so perhaps this chicken had been sitting for some time and the previous sandwich was freshly made? Not sure, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and look forward to their full opening. Each time we ate the fries with fry sauce. I absolutely love the seasoning we had and the more the merrier for me, however, I have heard some people complain that the fries can be too salty. Either way, the fry sauce is excellent. read more

Drove to Cluckers for lunch on Saturday, July 30th 2022, on Center Street. We're always looking for the perfect chicken dinner, so when we heard they were open we made it a point to go try it out. The interior is simple, but clean and bright, with benches to sit on while you wait for your name to be called. This is a Take Out restaurant- no place to eat inside or outside. The employees are friendly and very accommodating. The Menu is super clear and well organized. No chicken breast / tenders of any kind though. My wife had the Four Whole Chicken Wings, with the Southern Slaw. They were breaded just right, and were HOT, obviously just out of the frier. They were very good. We were not familiar with Southern Slaw, but I guess it's supposed to be very vinegary and on the sour side? Luckily we had some mayo in our RV to fix it. I ordered the Clucker Supreme, which I must say was absolutely DELICIOUS. It was also hot, with a very generous portion of chicken thigh. The fries were excellent, except perhaps they could have been a little crispier. I hope they consider putting some tables and chairs, with maybe an umbrella in their little "corral" by the front doors sometime in the future. It would be great for business. This IS a charming little place- we hope they do well here. I do recommend you call ahead if possible- everything is made fresh, so there's pretty much a Wingstop style wait period if you place your order in person.
