Meditation Paradise. An isolated time for you to center yourself and come out refreshed. Located at a local residence, the owner is very friendly and explains everything before your first time in a sensory deprivation float tank. A list of detailed instructions is sent to you before your first float. The tank water is warm, so you don't notice it as your floating; it was a bit humid feeling at first which took some taking used to but after that it was extremely relaxing floating in the tank and having time to meditate. I imagine if you haven't meditated before, it may be more difficult to enjoy the experience, so I'd recommend doing some practice meditations before. read more

I showed up to float, was having extreme pain, wanted to float and be done with it. Relax, I show up, and the women who runs the company, the owner sits down and starts telling me all about her boyfriend from another country, who she's never met, and has sent money too, etc. Never met the guy, he's on a topic secret mission and cannot FaceTime (okay I knew she was being scammed the second I am hearing this) anyway this matters because I sat there with my mother who drove me there that day cuz I was in great pain and just got rear ended, The owner talks nonstop for over an hour and a half, white I sit there waiting to start my appointment timed float. I finally start, get in and immediately begin burning severely, my skin. 3 minutes later I get out call her and say I'm so sorry but this is not working out for me, I get out shower off extremely fast and come out, my skin was RED and an immediate rash started, I try to dry off and it was literally like drying off with linen, you couldn't dry off if you tried, she sits there and explains she cannot just not charge me, she could do my float for 45$ and then refund me my 95$ in a couple weeks if I wanted to try again. I said okay I'll be in touch, so I message her and say my rash has not gotten better and theirs no way I'm getting back in that tub, so she said well I can't refund you, you used my towels and up an 1h 1/2 of my time, (I literally took up maybe 7 minutes total of her time of my appointment) the rest was her blabbing about her life. Which fine but extremely unprofessional, then she goes back on everything she said to me. That's where I'm upset. Don't say something and change your mind a few weeks later. When you asked me to text you an update then, and I do. Now she says well my house is out of order anyway for 4 months. The whole thing is scammy, and I would never recommend this place. As a disabled veteran it disappointing to have experience this when all I wanted was a different form of therapy. She double booked herself and was unable to fulfill a couples float service and she refused to refund me the my money that I paid $190 in its entirety. There are many other sensory deprivation tanks in Tucson like Still water Oasis with much better pricing and are actually legit. I love floating and expect to have a calm, relaxing experience but this wasn't it. First off the business is run out of a house and the float tanks crammed into 2 of the bedrooms with no real place to put your personal things. And while I understand the desire to be environmentally conscious, the paper thin, recyclable towels are less than desirable and one is actually left for you on the floor. And don't take too long in the shower or you will get a knock on the door asking if you're almost done. Clients are also expected to wipe down the inside of the tank when done and my tank was filthy inside, so nice to know I just floated in there for an hour. Cloud Nine Flotation was a unique experience. I will definitely do it again and again! I felt relaxed, calm, and happy during my floatation and afterwards. I have wanted to float for many years, but didn't schedule it until I met Kalyn Wolf, the owner. She is kind, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I trusted her that the sensory deprivation tanks would be clean and at the best temperature with the right amount of epsom salt added to float. With the trust that I was safe floating, I meditated. It was very relaxing and the magnesium really helped my back pain and improved my mood. That evening I slept like a baby. It was a very nurturing experience. The only drawback is that if you have any scrapes on your skin the epsom salts will burn. It goes away within 15 minutes or so but bring Vaseline just in case you aren't aware of having a skin irritation. That's what the owner recommends. read more

This float spa is in a personal home. The waiting room was a family room that was dark and cluttered with a dog climbing on the coach (which is where we were told to wait). One of the first things that my client that I recommended to try floating said about your Center was that it was in your house. That says that generally most people perceive a tank in someone's house or a business in someone's house as not as professional as a commercial type business location. It has that perception. I also hold that perception, for if I was to go to another state for instance, and I went on Yelp for float centers, and someone had a tank in their house, but then there was a float Center that had like five tanks, or multiple float centers that had different tanks, that were actual business locations, I would much more prefer to go to those businesses than to go to someone's house. Perhaps you just haven't reflected on how your location does and will always detour a certain type of clientele. Also my dear, your practices of making customers wipe down the tank after they are done, and offering them non-fabric type towels is something I have never experienced in a decade of going to float centers (around 40 centers from L.A. to Washington to Texas). I would laugh at something like that, it is not exactly typical in any float center. It is somewhat ghetto my dear. Oasis tanks are okay. I've talked to David a few times ( the owner of oasis). It's a basic traditional tank. I've had three of those traditional tanks, a Samadhi and 2 escape pod explorers (which are basically stainless steel Samadhi tanks) and I modified both escape pods to connect together to be 8' x 8'. I could be renting out my tank (one of largest in the world) also out of my home, but I prefer not to. Good luck read more

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it many times: floating in an isolation tank is medicine. Physically, mentally, emotionally - floating is good for whatever ails you. This is a nice, homey place, considering that it's Kalyn's house. She's great with explaining and introducing the experience. I like to float a day or two before a triathlon, as it completely relaxes me and allows me to clear my mind. Let me answer the first question, why only four stars? I have never done a float, this was my first time. I did the 60-minute session. I expected this to be in an office or business, but it's not, it's in a residence. I would give 5 stars if it was in a commercial, more clinical setting. But, other than that, just...read my review. Be assured, everything was pristinely clean and well kept, and the results were true. Let's start with the professionalism. Everything was top notch, the appointment setting, the communication, everything. The online appointment setting was great and Kalyn kept me in the loop throughout. To me, the only thing more important than professionalism was the environment and sanitary conditions. I am a clean freak, and everything here was well kept and neat. No problems...but it was in someone's home, so again, only four stars from me. I was able to get past that quickly and it was no problem sinking into the vat of pharmaceutical grade salt. I closed my eyes and began letting myself float within the serene giant pod. I was both impressed by its buoyancy and surprised at its ability to seep into my soul creating a surreal state of bliss. I lost all track of time and fell into a deep trance. My concerns quickly shifted from wondering how I could stay in the pod for an hour, to praying that time would stop. It was like being back in the cradle of my mother's womb. When the ending music started to play, it was like a caressing of my spirit was over, and I didn't want it to. No matter who you are, or what you have experienced, this experience cannot be matched, it's like the pure essence of serenity. I lead a busy life, but carving out an hour last Tuesday night to float at Cloud Nine was like taking a week's vacation in paradise -- I came home relaxed and revitalized and couldn't wipe the grin off my face! The facility is comfortably housed in Kalyn Wolf's home on Tucson's east side. Wolf is a charming gal with decades of floatation and energy healing experience, so she quickly helps new clients feel at ease. The bathroom is clean and well-equipped; wait until you turn on the shower (it's fabulous)! Wolf provided silicon earplugs (to keep the upcoming saltwater out) and vaseline for any skin abrasions. After a shower and shampoo, I was ready for the flotation experience. The tank is a cross between a pyramid and a pup tent in a serene room filled with an assortment of art available for purchase; the effect was soothing overall. I chose to start and end my session with with music, pressed a button on the speaker, climbed into the tank and closed the door. Immediately, the tank seemed to disappear as I adjusted to the utter darkness. The water was indistinguishable from my own skin, and the soothing music allowed me to float into complete relaxation. This meditative state is unlike what I can achieve on dry land; it really is a short-cut to my own center and the universe beyond. I don't really remember the music fading out, but when it came on to indicate an hour had passed, it startled me - I had really been someplace else. Sloughing off the water so as to keep most of it in the tank, I climbed out and headed back to that terrific shower to get the salt off my skin and hair, grinning all the while. Yesterday was my first experience in a float tank and I loved it. Kalyn made the experience very enjoyable with her warm and welcoming demeanor. Once inside the tank and settled in, it became apparent how busy and scattered my thoughts were. I began to think about everything pending at work and issues with my personal life but the thinking wasn't necessarily positive or conducive. I had to keep reminding myself the intention here was relaxation. The tank in a way forced me to meditate which is something I've never been any good at. I didn't read all of the instructions beforehand and learned the hard way that 1) that salty water burns like crazy if you get it in your eyes. 2) eat just enough so that hunger doesn't enter your mind. 3) if you have the time, book a longer appointment because 1 hour feels like 10 minutes. read more

Despite this being out of a home (see other reviews) I can assure you, that is a GOOD thing. It feels completely comfortable, clean, and above all, relaxing. I have a PTSD diagnosis as well as the severe anxiety that comes along with said, which is my main reason for floating. Today I had my first float. Parts of it left me with apprehension towards my own thoughts. The tank does nothing, but it's GREAT at that. I had somewhat of a tough time coming to terms with my own mind my first float, but with all my own personal research-this is completely normal, and just another bump to cross over before reaching bliss. It's not "scary", its just nothing. Once my float was over I wiped the inside of the tank as instructed, and emerged...which was the weirdest feeling of the whole thing-the first 3-5 seconds you "come back" to the world it feels like a mini reintegration. I purchased a packaged and will be back for more. I'm going to push and go deeper for sure. (PS-ESPECIALLY for first timers, if you read on the internet things about edibles paired with these tanks-i high recommend against it. Im a daily medical cannabis patient and there's NO WAY I would of been able to handle that silent darkness with anything remotely resembling THC in my brain. No way. No chance. I have been going to Cloud Nine Floatation for almost a year now. I highly recommend this experience. I suffer from chronic pain & this alleviates my pain every time. I go once or twice a month depending on my levels of pain. This is a safe and natural way for pain relief. It's also unbelievably good for your spirit. I was a little apprehensive and excited since I had never done this before. I was absolutely very pleasantly surprised. Kalyn is very professional and the entire process was confidential and private. The float itself was wonderful. It took me a few minutes to adjust to the sensory deprivation other than my overly excited breathing. Once I calmed down the float was magical. I have visited cloud nine flotation a total of three times in the last few years. Very recently I have become a member which enables me to have one float a month maybe more. this is how essential flotation therapy has become for me, I'm not somebody who easily meditates or can get into a relaxed brain space but floating is like meditation on steroids. I'm bit claustrophobic, so I had my concerns. I found that as long as I closed my eyes and went with it, I was fine. It was very relaxing. The salt water creates a buoyancy that caused me to feel like I was floating on a mattress. You feel quite well supported. That was another concern I had going into my float, was support. Floating was an amazing process. I had no idea what to expect as I went in looking for a potential resource for the families I work with. Kalyn showed me the tank and she incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and made me excited to come back and float. I wasn't sure if I would feel ok in complete darkness so she gave me a pillow to keep the tank door open but once I began to relax, I desired the darkness. I had an amazing experience at Cloud Nine today. Peaceful atmosphere, spa like experience, very soothing float experience. I suffer from major chronic pain and I became so relaxed in there that I had no pain in the tank. Not only that but my spasms, pulling, twisting of my body were non-existing for well over an hour after I left the tank. This was my first experience with floating, but I imagine this is exactly what it should be like. It's a silent room with a perfectly dark tank that you float in. Kalyn is sweet and spent time going through everything so I would be most comfortable. The only thing that makes me take one star away is what others might like most: it's in a home in a regular neighborhood. This makes it cozy and like you're at home, but for me (keeping in mind, I went here with the intention of easing anxiety) it seemed a bit sketchy at first. Call me paranoid, but this in combination with one statement in the waiver saying something along the lines of "I agree to drop any claims I have against the owner" came up in my head while I was alone with my thoughts in a dark enclosed tank. So that part heightened my anxiety a little bit, but now that I've survived one visit, I think my next one will hold a little less anxiety ;) I came here using a groupon because I was a litle too skeptical of the benefits of floating to pay full price. Having gone once, I can see where the benefits could come from but think I will need at least one more session before really getting into "the zone". read more

My first experience at Cloud9 made me a little anxious at first, since I had never experience flotation in a tank. However, after the first 15 minutes in the flotation tank, I started to relax and feel comfortable inside, in total darkness and silence, floating and drifting into a deep relaxing state of mind. About 5 minutes before the end of the 90 minutes, I was alerted my time was coming to an end, by classical music coming on, gently and softly to awaken me. I found the door opening ( I was apprehensive about that in the beginning) and got out to shower off the salt water. I was feeling completely relaxed, and I had a calm state of mind. Actually, I couldn't believe I had been in the tank for 90 minutes, since I was apprehensive about being able to stay inside for the full amount of time, as well as being able to locate the opening to get out!! I noticed, I felt rather calm for about a week afterwards. I read that one experience is really not enough to reap all the benefits of this type of therapy, so I will be going back!
