I loved having this place as part of my routine for many years, which makes it especially disappointing to write this review. I never had any problems with the female staff, who were always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I had repeated uncomfortable interactions with one male staff member who I experienced as condescending and dismissive. Eventually, he accused me of "taking advantage" of the business regarding policies that had never been clearly communicated to me. After five years as a loyal customer, I found this incredibly disrespectful. Had someone simply communicated the policies clearly and professionally, I would have followed them. When I brought my concern to the owner, the interaction escalated rather than being resolved. I was told there was "always a problem" when I was there--something that had never previously been communicated to me--and I left feeling talked down to, intimidated, and unwelcome. As a woman, I think other female customers should be aware of this dynamic. Over time, the atmosphere increasingly felt like "bro" vibes to me, and unfortunately my final interaction reinforced that feeling. I emailed the owner afterward explaining how upsetting the experience had been and received no response. After five years, I'm genuinely sad that this is how my experience with Tucson Cold Plunge ended.

When we arrived for our reserved time, Brandi showed us the salt scrub tub, sauna, two hot soaking tubs, two cold plunges, and biomat. Shoes are not worn inside, so you can remove your socks and shoes in the changing area - there are also slippers, robes, and towels provided for you. Brandi also offers you a nice herbal tea or water. If you're not familiar with the whole soaking experience, Brandi will walk you through the steps of sauna first, salt scrub and rinse, then hot soak and cold plunge. This visit was extremely relaxing and tranquil, and it went by too fast. I was really sad to have to leave, but I'm definitely going to purchase a membership. My husband and I scheduled facials over 30 days before our check-in date of our stay. We flew in on a Sunday and on Monday I got a phone call from the Spa informing us that they couldn't take us at our scheduled time but they would be happy to bump us up earlier midday. Keep in mind we booked the last appointment of the day because we want the entire day while we're on vacation to enjoy our day to close with spa treatments. The phone call was very professional. I did express my disappointment with having to move us around less than 48 hours before our scheduled times. I shared with the spa while I was grateful for the phone call. I was still disappointed with the abrupt update to rearrange us midday. I almost cancelled us. I tried finding another late day appointment and they shared with us so that wasn't an option even though keep in mind we made our appointments well over 30 days before our arrival. It wasn't until close to the end of our conversation that the caller from the spa said that there was a family emergency and we needed a shift. So my humble opinion if there was truly a family emergency why didn't the phone call lead with that? Why did that not get shared with close to the end of our call my point is it sounded like a staffing issue and if that's the case, I'm OK with the staffing issue just be honest with me. I kept repeating myself saying that I was disappointed, although grateful I felt like there was a gap information and it wasn't entirely truthful. Long story short, we were able to get our services even though we had registered for two facials, The Spa informed us that they could not accommodate a second facial and they could do a massage again we didn't sign up for that over a month before our arrival. My husband gets regular massages at home. I wanted him to experience a facial. Knowing how flexible and accommodating he is, he was happy to take the massage. He's very kind. My facial and his massage were probably the best experiences we've had from those technicians. Brooke was awesome. Regretfully, I can't remember his massage therapist's name, but he said she was awesome and he really enjoyed his experience. When we did check in for our services, staffing looked slim. The girl who walked me through the females locker room, didn't say much outside of where to put your used robe or slippers. She did talk about the lockers and how to get those situated. Overall, I'm glad we had our services and I appreciate the experiences from our direct massage therapist and aesthetician. There are plenty of opportunities for the Spa to flex and adjust how they communicate with their patrons. Grateful though it was a rocky welcome after we checked in for our stay.

I do most of my work in the morning and I will try to make a 11:15 am till 1pm. Not what I expected from the Ymca facililty's, for lap swimming, oh well i guess i need to start looking for lap pools and more hours with my 1 pass medicare. City pools just starting charging $2 for lap swimming, only. you can go wade in the family side for free.
