Just stepped out of a 90 min deep tissue massage and WOW ! A friend got a gift certificate earlier this year and I finally decided to cash in on it. It was super easy to book online with Levity when I checked their website and was able to get an appointment next day. They offer a huge array of services and I was initially intrigued with the float therapy, but I ended up getting a massage. If you check out their website their services are reasonably priced and they are located in midtown in an easy to access studio. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was that the ramp was handicap accessible to their door and it was easy to find the front entrance (there's a huge sign that says Levity you can't miss it). Everyone was very friendly when I got in and my massage therapy Lindsey K. assessed my needs and asked questions before we started. The massage was great... it flew by. I'll be back. I just tried out Levity yesterday. Their hours are different currently. I left a message early in the week, and they called me back a couple days later. It was a great experience! The whole facility was very clean, and there were 2 tanks to choose from. I chose the tank with the glass door, and it was especially nice once my body warmed up to the air in the tank. Very relaxing float session, and the staff was great to work with (not pressuring to buy more or pushing spiritual practices). I'd recommend! read more

I've gone once, and was officially hooked. I was told about levity from a friend of mine, and have not regretted the decision to go. I chose to use the tank instead of the room. Everything is SUPER clean, and the staff is very friendly! I've already booked my next float for this coming weekend. I highly highly recommend. They offer other services as well and will try them in the future (massages, aromatherapy etc). The staff do an excellent job walking thru the whole process of having a great float. I had a massage at Levity yesterday for the first time. Making an appointment was easy as it is online. When I arrived the therapist, Lila, asked many questions about what I needed then discussed my options in a way I could understand. She focused on a couple of areas where I have been experiencing pain with heat, CBD oil and stretching. The result was a good night's sleep pain free. I really wanted to try sensory deprivation, but I was a little anxious about being in a tank with only my thoughts. I came in for my appointment a few minutes early, John explained everything about the tank and what I should expect. He really put my mind at ease and I feel like that made me have an amazing float!! I scheduled an hour float but he suggested for my first float to do 90 minutes to really get the effect of a good float. He was totally right. This place has saved my life. The floatation therapy not only is relaxing and helps with my anxiety and stress, but helps keep any aches and pain from my fibromyalgia at bay. This is an awesome, awesome place. I don't even have words to describe how much I enjoyed my float. The business is no longer in a residential home. This was my 2nd experience floating and hands down... 200% better than the 1st experience. I do have to say this "container" seemed a tad smaller than the 1st one I floated in. The only negative thing I have to mention is the shower facility is very lame; thus, 4 stars. I realize you all did the best you could with what you had but I'd have tried to figure something else out. I was afraid a good wind (when the air turned on) would knock the enclosure over. I have been hearing about floating and I figured it was time to give it a try, since I have been so stressed lately and it seemed time to try something new. It was an amazing experience! Simply doing nothing for an hour. The facility was so clean and inviting and relaxing. The owner made me feel very welcome and talked me through what I wanted to accomplish with my visit and then walked me through step by step on how to do things. I used the closed tank because I wanted to be completely shut out from the world. They provide towels and lotion and a comb and other things for after you get out which is a nice touch. The float itself was simply amazing. I never felt so calm. The water was the perfect temperature. I started with the light on inside for the first 10 minutes and then turned it off and I am so glad that I did. Feeling like you are weightless floating through darkness was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. I think I drifted to sleep a few times but I don't know for sure that's how relaxed I was. I will definitely be back to float again. Coolest experience ever. They say it gets better the more you do it. read more

My wife gave me a gift certificate for a 60-min float at Levity for Christmas. I used it today. This was my first time in a floatation tank. First off, the location and the person operating Levity, Kristina... The location is convenient, set off a bit from Speedway. The ambiance is perfect: Relaxed with little feeling of time pressure; calm; clean; comfortable; and stocked with all the accoutrements to make your float pleasant (e.g., showers, towels, lotions). Kristina is warm and welcoming. She explained everything adequately for me, the newcomer. I chose the Samadhi tank, which is smaller but offering more sensory deprivation than the larger tank. I am a big guy but had ample room in the tank. I'm sure that each person's float is unique. My experience involved allowing myself to unwind from recent events and, so to speak, "going with the float." At the conclusion of 60 minutes I felt so relaxed and renewed I almost had tears in my eyes. I also sported a contagious smile. If you're curious and feel like you can spend some time doing nothing but floating and experiencing, I highly recommend Levity Flotation & Wellness Center. First of all, you MUST try flotation. It's more calming and relaxing than any activity- including sleeping. I wish I had discovered it years ago.
