From the moment you walk through the door, there's an immediate sense of calm. The space is clean, quiet, beautifully maintained, and even smells heavenly. A special shoutout to Sharon. She has one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. Her expertise as an aesthetician, combined with her warm, easygoing nature, has helped me in ways I can't even begin to express. She makes every appointment feel comfortable, never rushed, and truly listens. I'm incredibly grateful for her care and compassion, and I couldn't recommend her more highly.

I really wanted to love our visit to Fuchsia Spa at La Encantada. I actually attended their Yelp…read moreElite grand opening event back in 2019 and remember thinking the spa had so much potential. Unfortunately, our most recent mother-daughter facial day missed the mark in several ways. We each booked a facial with a wellness add-on. I chose red light therapy and my mom chose the leg compression therapy. For the red light therapy, no one removed my makeup, or even asked if I needed to remove it, which immediately felt strange. There was also zero explanation about the treatment itself: no mention of wavelengths, benefits, or why this type of light is used. My mom had a similar experience with her leg compression add-on. The staff repeatedly asked her, "Are you feeling better?" as if she had come in feeling unwell, which made the whole interaction awkward rather than relaxing. Even small moments felt off. In the lounge, we were offered something to drink and asked for tea. The staff handed us cups without saying what kind it was. Not a huge deal, but details like that matter in a spa environment. The one bright spot of the visit was the facial itself. Once I was finally in the hands of my esthetician, I felt taken care of. My Signature Facelift facial ($168) was relaxing, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. My mom, however, said her esthetician kept trying to sell her every product that was used on her, which took away from the experience and made it hard for her to unwind. Overall, the facial services seem strong, but the wellness add-ons and overall hospitality felt unpolished and inconsistent. I hope they can bring back the attention to detail and hospitality they had when they first opened, because the space and potential are definitely there.

The locker rooms are very clean and have any amenity you could possibly need. FYI, if you've got bigger feet, their slides probably won't fit you very well (size 9 or larger). The relaxation room is very comfortable and the flavored teas and coffees are thoughtfully curated. I've gotten facials and massages here and the facials are the best I've had at any spa in town. Make sure you really relax and take your time with the tea on the back patio. The view of the Catalinas are spectacular. Soak them in!

We took a break and enjoyed a glass of wine and cheesecake (extra) on the covered patio. Only negative was the size of the mani/pedi room! Two chairs that were so crammed in the space that the two manicurist could barely maneuver around us! There were four of us and we were a little disappointed that we couldn't enjoy visiting during that portion of the package due to the small room! In addition they need a better variety of nail colors and need to be prepared for customers who have gel nail polish that needs to be removed Would def suggest champagne or mimosas to add to the package while you wait in the relaxation room! Overall a good experience! The ladies were professional and not pushy! They made me a nice little gift for my birthday.

If I had to describe our experience at Miraval in one word, it would be: Peaceful. Personally, I…read morehadn't felt this much peace in my life in such a short amount of time in YEARS. Miraval is definitely now one of my 'Happy Places'. Upon check-in the staff took care of everything, we were greeted, bags taken away to our room and our car taken away by the valet. The staff were all smiles. Dee Dee checked us in and offered us tour of the property with Steve since it was our first visit here. She also walked us over to the cafe to grab a smoothie to enjoy while on our tour. Steve picked us up, and showed us the whole property while explaining where everything was and small details about the property such as the MULTIPLE pools! We did several classes with lots of variation from Meditation to Vison Boards + health and wellness classes. We really enjoyed spending time with all of their experts learning things from them to improve our daily lives. All of them answered every question without hesitation. A true all-star line up I must say! Let's talk about the FOOD! Every meal/snack we ate here was VERY tasty! Our bodies felt amazing after just one or two meals. Mostly everything they serve is locally sourced and organic. We looked forward to finding out the Chef's special with every meal we sat down to. Diana and Alice were amazing to us, providing us such great service at every meal. We did the "Just cook for me" dinner session with two other couples. We were all strangers, but it was very enjoyable! We spent about 3hrs with our new friends, talking, laughing, enjoying great food and wine cooked up/Served by Zach and Hannah. We did spend some time at the Spa and both of us were very happy with the staff and services provided that we chose. Other visitors we had spoken with said they enjoyed the massages they got. I think we will add that to our list for next visit. The property and staff as a whole, just embody peace, serenity and calmness. My favorite thing about the property is that the pools are 24/7 - We laid on our backs in the saltwater pool at midnight, just looking up at the stars in the Arizona night sky. I didn't have a care in world, just living in the moment. We felt so disconnected here from the outside world (in a good way), and that was something I will always remember and enjoy. Nobody had their phones out (Our stayed in our room the whole time!) and as someone who has to be connected 24/7 usually, this was VERY refreshing. I took all of these photos with my sunglasses. My partner and I had no problem striking up conversations about everything we were experiencing and how we could apply it to our everyday lives. Thank You Miraval for the most amazing life changing experience and we look forward to our next visit!

Given Miraval Arizona's price point and reputation, this stay was deeply disappointing. The food…read moreoffered at the resort was overall poor, bland, and far below what you would expect from a luxury wellness destination. There is little variation in food at lunch. Many of the food items were stale (bread, cookies, tortilla chips). The "hors d'oeuvres" were stale tortilla chips, crudite, and various dips. My sister had a prenatal massage, and the provider smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which is completely inappropriate and was very uncomfortable for her. My own 50-minute Sacred Sounds massage was disappointing. The session started 5-6 minutes late, but still ended on time. It was advertised as including breath work, but there was no breath work component. The advertisement does not make it clear that the sound bowl portion dominates the treatment, leaving me with maybe 15 minutes total time for a full body massage. This felt misleading and not what I paid top tier pricing for. It was difficult to find the location of a couple activities, which led to us missing them. One was the stretch class, which is supposed to be at the Body Mindfulness Center. Once we arrived to the BMC, there were no signs directing us where to go. There are several rooms off the main gym, but none had a sign indicating which one the stretch class was in. The 2-hour archery class included at least a full hour of talking and information before you even get to try the activity. Checkout was unnecessarily complicated for us and another group of women. This caused our airport shuttle to leave late. The shuttle took longer than we were told, which led to us getting to the airport only 45 min before our flight took off. Miraval had been a bucket list experience for my sister and I for years. To say that we were wildly disappointed is an understatement. While our room was beautiful, we found ourselves looking at other luxury wellness resorts to try in the future. Miraval charges top tier pricing and is routinely on many travel publications' lists for must-do wellness experiences. It certainly did not live up to that reputation.

My husband and I scheduled facials over 30 days before our check-in date of our stay. We flew in on a Sunday and on Monday I got a phone call from the Spa informing us that they couldn't take us at our scheduled time but they would be happy to bump us up earlier midday. Keep in mind we booked the last appointment of the day because we want the entire day while we're on vacation to enjoy our day to close with spa treatments. The phone call was very professional. I did express my disappointment with having to move us around less than 48 hours before our scheduled times. I shared with the spa while I was grateful for the phone call. I was still disappointed with the abrupt update to rearrange us midday. I almost cancelled us. I tried finding another late day appointment and they shared with us so that wasn't an option even though keep in mind we made our appointments well over 30 days before our arrival. It wasn't until close to the end of our conversation that the caller from the spa said that there was a family emergency and we needed a shift. So my humble opinion if there was truly a family emergency why didn't the phone call lead with that? Why did that not get shared with close to the end of our call my point is it sounded like a staffing issue and if that's the case, I'm OK with the staffing issue just be honest with me. I kept repeating myself saying that I was disappointed, although grateful I felt like there was a gap information and it wasn't entirely truthful. Long story short, we were able to get our services even though we had registered for two facials, The Spa informed us that they could not accommodate a second facial and they could do a massage again we didn't sign up for that over a month before our arrival. My husband gets regular massages at home. I wanted him to experience a facial. Knowing how flexible and accommodating he is, he was happy to take the massage. He's very kind. My facial and his massage were probably the best experiences we've had from those technicians. Brooke was awesome. Regretfully, I can't remember his massage therapist's name, but he said she was awesome and he really enjoyed his experience. When we did check in for our services, staffing looked slim. The girl who walked me through the females locker room, didn't say much outside of where to put your used robe or slippers. She did talk about the lockers and how to get those situated. Overall, I'm glad we had our services and I appreciate the experiences from our direct massage therapist and aesthetician. There are plenty of opportunities for the Spa to flex and adjust how they communicate with their patrons. Grateful though it was a rocky welcome after we checked in for our stay.
