It's been a while since I last visited My Massage Spa on Grant, and while searching for a massage place closer to my side of town, they popped up again and reminded me that I owed them a very overdue review. My massage therapist was exceptional. They used techniques that I honestly wish every massage therapist knew and took the time to really understand what my body needed. The pressure was always just right, and they were especially great at working out deep knots and tension. Every appointment ended with me leaving feeling amazing--no exaggeration. They also shared helpful advice on stretching and self-care between visits, which made a real difference. The space is clean, calm, and relaxing, making the overall experience even better. I went to this massage spa by walk in. I enjoyed a really good massage. At begging I think this is just a very normally place and the massage table is so so. But when I start to enjoy the massage, it was so nice. My back and feet was pain after a long day's work, after the professional massage it disappeared and I had a very good night sleep at that day. Very nice. As others have pointed out, there can be communication issues; the masseuses don't speak a lot of English. But in my ~10 visits I have found them to be skilled and accommodating, for a very reasonable price. Note that I've seen no evidence of illicit activities. The rooms have only curtains and the walls don't extend all the way to the ceiling, so while you have a good sense of privacy it wouldn't lend itself well to certain things. Recommended. read more

The massage spa did not disappoint 10/10! I surprised my husband with a couples massage for our anniversary and they blew us away! We booked based on the reviews by others here on yelp and no one is lying or exaggerating here. I've had several massages at chains and luxury spas and truthfully I can say hands down this was the best massage I've ever had. They give 110% they don't miss anything. Both my husband and I after the massage were saying how they just found our problem areas and worked wonders on those spots without even discussing it. We couldn't stop talking about how amazing of a massage this was the rest of our evening. We will be recommending them to anyone and everyone who will listen. We will be back! I've never felt any masseuse has taken care of the whole body the way they did. Trust me you will not be disappointed by your choice to try them out. So, we decided to report this organization to the Board of Massage Therapy. They called us this morning. Apparently Greg Schultz is not a Licensed Massage Therapist and has received a Cease and Desist from the Licensing Board for practicing without a license. They informed us that this business has been skirting the laws and regulations of the Licensing Board since their incorporation. They avoid the legal parameters by rebranding themselves from My Lucky Spa, to My Massage Spa. If you search for them on Google Maps they list as NAP Foot Spa. I contacted the Owner of this organization and she pleaded to me to not talk to her anymore about this issue due to it upsetting her, Catherine. We are still dealing with the trauma sustained from our last visit and will be for years So, I'm sorry if this is upsetting to anyone who reads this development but this business should not be in operation from what we were told by the Licensing Board. read more

Worst massage I ever had, they charged for oil ? And request a tip even if service was awful

I went today for a massage. The whole process from start to finish was weird and off putting. I scheduled yesterday and there was no transparency of price. They didn't have me sign any consent forms when I came in. It was uncomfortable because seemed like they didn't know I was coming. They had me step into a room and didn't ask me what I wanted. I had to tell them a 90 minute massage. They asked me to get undressed and get onto a table with instead of a head hole, a neck pillow with a paper towel on it. She came in and took the blanket off of me completely. She was massaging so hard and kept going over the same spots hard. The last straw was when she put a towel on my head and then got up on the table, sat on my head and massaged all the way down to my privates. I felt violated and I couldn't breathe. I got up after 20 minutes and offered to pay for only the time taken, they threatened me that there are cameras??? Then begged for a tip? The manager came out and gave me a $30 dollar credit for a facial. I am wondering if this is not a real business or if it's a happy ending, and they didn't know what to do with someone who actually wanted a real massage. read more

The massage experience was great, But their water is very disgusting, when I request a water I found lipstick marks on a disposable paper cup, I never wear lipstick. I'm sure their disposable cups have reused. Won't go again. read more

Came in on a whim and was able to get a massage within about an hour and a half from calling. My massage therapist- Greg- was knowledgeable and caring for my appointment. I got a deep tissue massage and Greg was courteous enough to ask if I would "soft, medium, or hard pressure" for my massage. Ofcourse I chose hard, and I was very pleased by the outcome. My favorite part was when he massaged my feet with great intention. It was an amazing experience- I will come again. read more

This place does a very thorough massage and the pricing is great. I'm from out of state and normally get my massages in LA or Hawaii but this is the best option I've seen in Arizona. I had high hopes with the 5 star reviews but my experience was not great. The owner said that the masseuses are licensed and professional but that's hard to believe when they don't speak English. Also, she took the sheet while I'm facing down all the way past my butt to massage which was strange, as it's courtesy to cover the vagina while getting a massage. Then after that she commented that I have a beautiful ass. (I'm a woman.) That made me immediately alert and uncomfortable and I covered my butt with the sheet. Hard to relax during the rest of the massage thinking that now I am not in a professional environment with licensed masseuses like I was told, but in a massage place with potential sex workers. Then to top it off she finished my massage 15 minutes early and when I only tip her 10%, she scoffs at me. I will not be returning. read more

My girlfriend and I saw a Groupon for a couples massage and decided to get a deep tissue massage. We spoke to the presumed owner, a very nice lady, who we decided if we were we would call her for her calming voice. We got lead into the room, nice decor, nice music. The music had such a nice ring to it, one get lost for hours. I had a small but strong lady massage me. My girlfriend had a guy. They seemed to know just where we were hurting. I had Lucy and she was really great. My 90min massage was deep tissue, but not to the point of pain. Lucy checked if I needed more or less. I also liked it was oil-based deep tissue, as opposed to some place that are more Thai Stretching technique without oil or much specific pressure points. I think I found my new spot next time I am in the area. I called last minute and they were able to explain their services over the phone and price in English (a lady answered the phone first and then passed it to a guy who was extremely helpful and that was what made me decide to go in). Walked in and it was only one lady there. I decided to do a one hour combo massage. However, as soon as she laid her hands on me I could tell she was skilled so I changed it to 90 minute body massage. That girl was awesome! I used to always request for guys because they were stronger, but the ladies in Arizona are really something! I already received multiple massages this month, but this gal got some additional knots out. She was actually more modest in her coverings of me than most Asian places lol. She didn't really pull down my underwear to massage me. And she did a lot of the in ritual massage/stretching over the sheet cloth, which annoys me a little bit I get why she did it. COVID precautions are taken at this establishment. WE LOVED THIS PLACE! My husband and I were in town for the day after being on a 2 week road trip from the East Coast! We definitely were in need of a massage. I came across this little gem and called to see about their services and availability. Greg was extremely wonderful and patient when describing the services at his establishment. He was attentive to our needs! And the Masseuses that were there were incredible!
