If I could give 10 stars, I would. This review is a longtime coming. I was very fortunate that my introduction to Reiki was with Mega Mease at Advanced Energy Therapeutics. In May of 2023, after doing an intensive search for a Reiki teacher, I took Mega's First Degree Reiki class. I could not have asked for a more thorough, experiential and impactful introduction to Reiki. I was thrilled to have my world opened up to another healing modality about which I really knew little. The class was small with five of us, so we received a lot of one-on-one attention. Mega was very patient with all our questions and did a great job of coaching us through various activities. The materials provided were extremely useful, and I still refer to them today. Because of my experience in May, I signed up for the Second Degree Reiki class in July. Again, I had a very fulfilling experience though different one. An added bonus was that a student from the May Reiki course also signed up, so I knew someone on the first day. That being said, the new students were wonderful. While I wondered if I might be premature in taking the second Reiki class so soon after the first one, I am glad I did. Knowing I would take the July course was a motivator to really practice Reiki after the May class. As a result, in July, I felt much more comfortable and ready for learning the Second Degree knowledge and practices. Fast forward to 2024 - 2023 might have been the most difficult year of my life though I didn't quite realize it at the time. I lost both my parents in the span of a year and suffered another profound loss. In the latter part of 2023, I faithfully did long distance Reiki for my mother daily, and I am convinced this was THE reason she was able to transition peacefully. Witnessing the power of Reiki in this situation cemented my belief in this powerful, powerful healing modality. One of the promises I made to myself in 2024 was that I was going to faithfully practice Reiki and I have! Wow! What a profound difference it has made not only in my life but also the lives of some close friends. I received several requests for doing long distance Reiki and the results have been literally life giving. I am deeply grateful for not only learning about Reiki but more significantly, learning it from Mega Mease. I met Mega while on vacation in 1998. I was in the throes of an MS episode that flared up from my trip across the country. Having never experienced energy work at that time, I gave it a go. Needless to say, I found immediate physical relief but more importantly it began my journey to self healing in a significant way. Proudly, I am free of MS today and have been for 17 years (diet change, healing work both emotional and physical were part of the routine). Over nearly 20 years, I have worked intermittently with Mega and other healers to help clear deep layers of emotional and spiritual wounds that led to dis-ease in my body.
