I had an hour massage with Taylor Johnson, who was absolutely wonderful. I walk around with an assortment of pain, injuries and tight muscles secondary to decades of being a hospital R.N. and from dance. As Taylor was a professional dancer, she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to identify the muscle groups that need some "love". I'm pretty hard on my body to begin with but after traveling across country for work I knew I needed some help! The parking lot is roomy and the waiting room is super nice with all sorts of goodies. Since you book directly with the massage therapist, Priscilla was able to squeeze me in for a 90 minute massage and did a phenomenal job! She checked in on pressure, and made sure that I was feeling ok as she worked through all the hotspots on my neck and shoulders. She even was able to do some cupping on a few particularly difficult spots. I appreciated her attention to the movement of the joints in addition to working the muscles. The room was incredibly comfortable - the table had an awesome padding that made laying there feel good and the temp was perfect. I've found my new favorite massage spot :) read more

Went here recently to enjoy a massage from the AMAZING Mia Goodly. I cannot recommend this place enough. They have a beautiful open, airy lobby filled with crystals, massage tools, scents, lip balms, you name it. The massage rooms are roomy and comfortable. The whole place is quiet and peaceful with a good energy. If you are looking for a massage therapist who really listens to you and your body look no further than Mia Goodly. She will sit with you briefly before your massage and go over any trouble spots with you. During the massage she notes anything that seems unusual or ways that she could help further and is an overall calming spirit. I left feeling listened to, looser, and lighter. Rooted is phenomenal. It's such a stressful time right now with the coronavirus-- and ironically, massage is the best effective treatment not only for the general stress of life but for my for my specific physical problems that are really only relieved through an expert massage. I had tried some of the Groupon massages at random places and didn't have great results. And now I realize that at least for me finding a practitioner I can work with regularly is very important. I like that Rooted doesn't just rent spaces to anybody who wants them. Therapists who practice there are only those that have worked with the owner and have found to be a good fit. The business has high standards of ethics and professionalism which is very important for me, especially when it comes to massage or any other kind of very personal treatment. "A safe space", to use a slightly overused phrase. Anyway the hardest part of the first stages of the coronavirus business closures was missing my regular massage. Routed reopened with a very thorough and careful explanation of their safety procedures and they are extremely comprehensive...wait in car, no one else around, etc. even though I knew it might be stressful to return to this place I've been so comfortable in the current environment I was eager to get back. I'm happy to say that not only did I feel completely trusting of the safety of my experience but was actually able to relax completely I felt very reassured that I was in good hands, no pun intended but I kind of like it. It was nice to be able to really trust that I was in a safe environment. And that allowed me to relax and really get the treatment that I've been so desperately missing. Returning to my regular massage therapist has been a huge relief. Somehow even with all of the very through safety procedures in place Rooted still feels like the same warm, vibrant space it always has. Very comforting to have my familiar healing experience back in my life in these times. Anyway. REN is a Pilates goddess. Her Pilates classes are magical--helped a back problem I had for my whole life disappear.

What a BEAUTIFUL space. I was looking for a massage pretty last minute on a Saturday and was able to schedule an appointment for later this afternoon. Sarah was very helpful in coordinating the time to my schedule needs. You arrive a few minutes early to fill out some paperwork (standard pre-massage) and my masseuse, Rebecca, met me at the door. The space itself is beautiful-great decor. It is definitely in a building that was probably an office prior to- so less "spa" atmosphere, but the rooms definitely make up for that. The massage itself was divine- Rebecca created a fantastic space and listened to what I would like done, as well as inquired about my past massage experiences so something negative couldn't be repeated. I'm athletic- and found out Rebecca was as well- so I didn't even have to explain the places I needed more work- she just did it! You could tell she was very experienced as she took the right approach to sensitive areas. Thank you for such a great experience, Rooted! My only complaint was the price...at this time, $70.00 for a massage is a bit pricey, but they do have package deals where you can get more bang for your buck. Also, a bit more signage towards the road, it is tucked back in a larger building, so a bit difficult to find- completely obvious when you do find it, but if there was a big sign along the main road, it would be helpful. read more

If you're looking for Centerline Movement, this is it--yelp won't come up with a separate business listing for it. I don't know if that's on purpose, because they want to remain sort of secret, or if it's just an error. But I go there for the Pilates, not the massage. I *teach* Pilates, and I try new Pilates studios whenever I'm on vacation, and I can safely say this is one of the best studios I've ever been to. I feel really challenged every time, and nothing is repetitive. So far I've had classes with Marley, Rachel, and Ren, and all of them were great. Ren is AMAZING; I'm already recommending her to all of my friends. She gives great cues, finds really interesting ways of using muscles rather than what you'd usually expect (ie not just bridging all the time to work hamstrings), and she's funny! The pricing is pretty fair (if totally weird that it changes based on the number of attendees in the class--so you don't know what you'll pay until after you get there) for Pilates equipment classes. I believe it's the second least expensive in town, and given the talent and knowledge of the instructors, they are really underselling themselves. I already love it here and will be going back a lot. read more
