We came to Cloud City as a party of 2 on a Sunday morning. This was my first time, but I have admired their amazing sign for years! It was crowded but the service was fast. I was admiring all their merch while in line. We ordered an espresso and a maple drink. Perfect for a chilly morning. One thing about Cloud City I really like is that they have a free mug library. You can borrow reusable drink ware and even donate some of your own. The world needs to know this! Our visit was short and sweet! Check them out!

Love love love their vegan curry chickpea wrap! Fresh, complex flavors, filling, and absolutely delicious! Matcha was great too. The staff is friendly and the menu is abundant. More seating outside than in. The outside seating is HOT on a sunny day because the structure holds in a lot of heat but it probably feels great on a cold day. Lucky to have this gem nearby.

There is plenty of street parking and some parking in front of shop. Lots of merchandise to purchase (cups, coffee, shirt, etc). They have a full breakfast and lunch menu. They have a cup library and honor system coffee bar. Highly recommend stopping in. There is a changing table in the bathroom; because of seating in the shop it would be challenging maneuvering a stroller. They have gluten free and vegan food items on menu.

BEC on sourdough. Apparently it is only a half sandwich.

I placed an order online so I cant speak much to the customer service informatively. There is ample street parking. I got a make your own breakfast sandwich and the seasonal iced cranberry matcha. The matcha was the perfect balance of tea and sweetness for me. They have a variety of sandwiches you chose from our "make you own" I chose to do a bacon egg and cheese on sourdough. The bacon is a really great thick bacon, the Mayo is nice and flavorful and overall it was a great sandwich, however, it was a bit surprising that it was actually only half a sandwich and not a full sandwich which I didn't see indicates in the menu at all. So that was a bit disappointing but it was delicious nonetheless. I got my sandwich on sourdough and a PNW pet peeve of mine is that places call bread sourdough but it's more of an Italian style bread, not shake on this business as it is just what occurs here, but I am always on the look out for a breakfast Sammy with real sourdough, so I think it's important to let other sourdough snobs know as well. I'd definitely come back for the sandwich and the matcha!

How I heard of this place: Back in 2018, we attended Soccer Shots at the Maple Leaf Park and Playground across the street. The parking lot was always bustling, so we finally made our way in for a post-game treat. Type of cuisine: A simple cafe with typical coffee/espresso and children's beverages, small bites and treats, and more. Ambiance: Set in a home on the corner of a busy street, the space is somewhat compact, but warm and generally welcoming. Tables and chairs are available, as well as a corner for children to read, play and engage with peers and families amid white walls with light decorations. What I ordered: A complete with whipped cream & rainbow sprinkles hot chocolate for the little one, and a mocha for me. What I loved: The family friendly, neighborhood feeling inside. It seemed that folks from around the neighboring houses took their morning walk and ended up here. The whole, entire neighborhood. Why I loved it: Family friendly environment despite the very milky, vanilla (plain) beverages. Cost: Average ($3-$6 per beverage depending on size/item).

I would move to maple leaf just so I could call this my neighborhood cafe. The coffee is good. There is a nice spirit about the place.

It's located in the same spot after many decades in Seattle's Wedgwood neighborhood. Since there's several cafes along this stretch of 35th NE, as point of reference, it's two doors south of Wedgwood Broiler. It shares a huge parking lot and adjacent to a Metro bus route. It had a nice autumn hue from the overhead lighting and interior decor. The local art for sale adorning the walls was a nice added touch. Upbeat, welcoming staff. It was full right at noon and brisk walk-in takeout traffic. Nice overhead music to chill, dine, and/or do laptop stuff. They offer the usual bev menu, as well as, breakfast & lunch items, soups, salads, modest pastry case (from Alki Bakery), merch, and coffee roasts from Zoka. The 16oz mocha was well crafted temp wise & good balance of espresso, steamed milk, and chocolate. I also opted for the roast beef panini without the horseradish. Generously filled with roast beef, havarti, mayo, and red onion on savory focaccia. It was provided with au jus and I selected potato salad versus chips. The au jus was not salty, so after dipping, I also sipped the hot broth. Very flavorful and filling. The other panini half I'll have to take home. Thanks to fellow Yelp Elite All Star, Will L for a compelling post. This was a pleasant detour for lunch.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

The cafe area is spacious and it had a nice display of chocolate that you could sample and choose from to be used in your drink. I had the mocha with Colombia chocolate. The drink tasted too strong and bitter for my taste, though. I don't think you could make it any less strong because Colombia chocolate seemed to be on the lower side of cacao percentage among other selections here. The bitterness could've also come from the espresso shots too. I prefer Spinnaker's mocha to the one here because Spinnaker's is not as bitter and more smooth. But if you prefer your chocolate more bitter and espresso stronger, you might like Cocoa Legato's mocha better. The place was giving good vibes, so I'd be happy to take friends and hang out and maybe I'll get a different kind of drink next time I'm here.
