We got the Saturday waffle and eggs special for $6. It was pretty basic. I really can't say it was awesome or special because it was literally just one piece of waffle with a pat of butter and syrup and two over easy eggs on the side with no accouterments. The photos of other entrees look good though so maybe we ordered the wrong thing. It's upstairs in a two story medical building tucked inside what looks like was an old pharmacy space. It was honestly very different from what I expected from the yelp photos. I checked in on yelp to use the discount but got the check before I could tell them and I didn't feel compelled to correct them. Fine service, basic but at least affordable. read more

Found this lil cafe on yelp, so after yoga one day I decided to check it out. The cafe is located in Lake Forest off of El Toro/Muirlands. It is located in a office building on the 2nd floor. There is a lot of parking available. Walked upstairs and at first didn't know if I was going to a restaurant because of all of the vaping advertisement also posted at the location. The cafe is also a place for you to pick up the juice for the vape. Personally, I think it's random and both should not be in the same building but what do I know? Once I walked in I noticed the counter where the vaping merchandise was located and a few tables near the back. I was greeted by a friendly young man and he seated me near the back. He took my order and after reviewing the menu and decided on the Denver omelette. This is just not any Denver omlettte tho, this omelette is fluffy, moist, and just perfect it is steamed. I don't know how they do it but its brilliant and yummy. It also came along with a few pieces of fruit, your very original hash brown crisp and a slice of wheat toast with a cup of coffee in a cute tea cup. The cafe is ran my a family. Which made me appreciate it just a lil more even though there are some quirks to work through like the freezing temperature inside and the outdated furniture but then again it adds character to the cafe. Great little breakfast place located in Lake Forest. When I say little, I mean little, but don't let that turn you away. The waiter sat us right away and brought us a fresh carafe of coffee. We both went simple, 2 eggs over easy with bacon and hash. It also came with homemade wheat bread. I stopped to have breakfast at Cloud Café 23401 El Toro Road in Lake Forest. They have just finished renovating and it came out very nice. My server was super nice and friendly. She made sure all was as ordered and brought me some fresh salsa for my meal. For my Appetizer; Small Fruit Salad; It was complimentary; That was very nice of them and I enjoyed eating it. For my Entrée; Egg & Waffle Breakfast Combo Meal; Two eggs cooked over medium that I added fresh salsa. I loved there salsa it had a nice kick to it that I enjoyed. Blueberry waffle: I added the blueberries and whipped cream. It was very flavorful. I enjoyed my delicious breakfast. I ordered a fresh pot of great tasting coffee to go with my meal. Wow! I am so impressed with this little slice of heaven! The food was amazing and so fresh. We got the omelet croissant and the breakfast burrito as well as side orders of the potato and the Louisiana hot sausage, all for 2 ppl and boy I left stuffed. Everything was soooo good. Definitely going back and highly recommend it for breakfast/brunch. Owners were very nice and stopped by our table to chat with us. My wife and I have heard about the Cloud Cafe and finally decided to give it a try early on a Sunday morning. There was plenty of available parking in the little shopping center where the restaurant is located. There were no other customers when we entered the restaurant. We were greeted, seated and our orders taken. Coffee was delivered quickly. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant looked very clean. It seems they moved somewhat recently to this location. As a result, the restaurant looks bright and fresh. They have a cloud design on the ceiling and blue walls. It ties very well with the cafe's name. I got the early bird special. My choices for the special were 2 eggs over medium, 2 slices of bacon, breakfast potatoes, slice of white toast and coffee all for only $8. My wife got an omelette which came with potatoes and toast. My wife loved her meal. The omelette was steamed which made it fluffy and moist. My over medium eggs were undercooked. I will mention this since a restaurant that specializes in breakfast should be able to cook a proper over medium egg. (The yolk should not be runny like an over easy egg.) Some of the potatoes were a bit overcooked (somewhat burned). The portions were right for the price. Our breakfasts both came with a small bowl of sliced plum. Our family always try to find small family owned businesses to eat at when we travel. The food always seems to be better and we would rather support a locally owned small business. The Cloud Cafe did not disappoint! The food was hot and tasted great! The service was on point also! They are only currently serving breakfast as of Presidents Day Weekend 2022, my wife was a little disappointed they were not serving lunch at first, but really enjoyed here breakfast burrito. We were pleasantly surprised by Cloud Cafe. It is definitely a different type of cafe. It is located in a suit (they share space with a vape shop) and it feels like you're inside an office turned into a little cafe when you're there. The setting was made up for though by their delicious brunch, super affordable prices, and great service. My boyfriend and I shared the steamed omelette with toast, and the blueberry pancakes and they were both amazing. The portions are filling, their coffee is good and cheap (I love their tea cups!), and their salsa is yummy and has a kick to it. It is really good when put on top of your omelette. I still can't believe we payed less than $20 for both plates and coffee in Orange County. Definitely the place to go if you want to enjoy a great brunch without being overcharged. After procuring breakfast here with my girlfriend, I truly consider this cafe one of Orange County's best kept secrets! It's strange (its space is one part vape shop, but don't worry- no one is blowing clouds there), quirky (located upstairs in what appears to be a commercial complex, with miss-matched table settings), and supremely intimate (with one server, a cook in the back, and a feeling that you are at a relative's house having breakfast cooked for you). This place is the antithesis of all things sleek, modern and "Orange County" and reminds me of east coast cafes with a slice of southern hospitality thrown in for good measure. The unique vibe only ADDS to my rating, not detracts from it. On top of it all the service was top-notch, truly making us feel like we were at home. I ordered an omelette and my girl ordered eggs over-easy with an order of pancakes to split. The cook time was a bit long, but in a setting like this it was just a reassurance that everything was being cooked fresh and from scratch. And boy oh boy can you TELL! Incredibly delicious, spot-on, comfort food cooking. There was not a single ingredient that was not pronounced and fresh. This place is everything good and wholesome about simple, delicious breakfast cooking. Period. When the check comes? Be prepared to be shocked at just how cheap you ate such an amazing breakfast for. No kidding, I was expecting double the price. Cloud cafe has it all- and we had the whole place to ourselves our entire meal. In Orange County, it doesn't get more special than that. Cloud Cafe gives a calm sense of breakfast at home with the family. Stopped here with the grandparents for a late breakfast and we really enjoyed ourselves. the menu is the perfect size. Enough selection to please everyone; efficient enough you don't have to thumb through pages just to select a drink. The decor and staff are what makes the place to comfy: decorated like the kitchen at a summer camp, and addressed like guests at a friends house. Sleepless nights can lead to searching YELP for new places to go out to eat, one of my favorite things to do! So, I decided to search for places to have breakfast and came across this little gem, Cloud Cafe. Tucked away on the second floor of a business building (off of Muirlands and El Toro) it is a destination restaurant. After reading the YELP reviews, we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The dining area is cheerful and bright with ceiling to floor windows. The ceiling has inserts at the light fixtures with blue skies and puffy white clouds. We were quickly seated and after ordering coffee were given our cups (mine in a pretty china cup and saucer, hubby's in a more manly cup) and also a coffee carafe full of coffee so that we were never wanting. Hubby and I both ordered the $6.00 Belgium Waffle Breakfast Special which includes a Belgium waffle, 2 eggs and coffee. You can add your choice of bacon or sausage for an additional $2.50. We both ordered the additional bacon. Our breakfast came out served on pretty china. The waffles were perfect with just the right amount of crispy outside and luscious inside. The bacon was thick and cooked to just the right amount of crispness. If you are looking for an unpretentious place to have a nice breakfast this is where you need to go! I usually try to try out local restaurants. Cloud Cafe is very local, Lake Forest. Corner of Muirlands & El Toro Road, in the CVS center along the side. They offer inside & outside dining. They offer breakfast and brunch (?). They close at 2 p.m. Issac handles the front, welcoming customers, seating them, taking their orders, and making you feel very welcomed. This is such a hidden gem in Lake Forest! We've tried to come here 3 times before, and they were closed and finally got to try it. It didn't disappoint. There are only 6 tables in the restaurant, so if it's busy you have to wait long. The ambiance is just amazing; feels like you are having Sunday brunch at your grandmother's home. We heard about her special steamed omelet which is what we got. It was great. The hash browns were not greasy. I am not fan of their French toast. It was not what I was expecting. The service was great! The young man there, was working so hard; cleaning the tables, taking orders, bringing out the food etc. Good job. The price and portion are perfect match. We had a very enjoyable first-time experience at Cloud Cafe this morning. We tried their steamed omelette specialty and agree with the description in the menu, that it's worth the wait! We chose cheese, onion, bell pepper and sausage and the end result, served with hash brown and sourdough toast was fluffy like a cloud and unlike anything we've ever tried... Phenomenal! I'm not sure how this works but I wanted to bring my wife and 2 year old for a nice breakfast and this place is in a very shady shopping center and it's a vape store???!!! Really!!! How can you advertise legally that you are a breakfast place when it's really a vape shop. I didn't even go inside and I'm so mad that the owner can advertise this as a breakfast spot but it's a vape store? How the hell does that work? After driving by The Cloud Cafe almost every day, across the way from where I live. I decided. To take my wife and have a nice quiet breakfast after a long trip to Los Angeles. WOW!!! The first thing I noticed was the great view that they have. The menu had everything you could imagine. We had pancakes and eggs and a Denver omelette! The quality of the food was excellent. The omelette had cheddar cheese. The bacon was crunchy. And there was Vermont maple syrup! The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. And the prices are on target. Based on the reviews, my wife and I tried the Cloud Cafe out yesterday morning. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We had a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes and pancakes. While it was "simple" it was done to perfection. Stand outs included thick slices of bacon and Vermont Maid syrup for the pancakes. Also, hot coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. I would recommend this diamond in the rough. read more
