They offer partial halal menu. The Cafe is nicely setup and has pleasant seating areas both inside and outside. I tried a couple of sandwiches there and they were both good. Can't remember what they were as I am writing this review about 6 months after I tried them. However their house coffee and tea is top notch that I've had those several times. Love the spot! Susan, the owner is such a lovely person, very kind and friendly. This is probably our 3rd or maybe 4th year eating at this restaurant. Never been a bad choice! I can't believe 2 years have passed since my last review of Rose Cafe. It is still my favorite brunch place in Lake Forest. Quality food & outstanding service has brought me back to this cafe times and again. It only has 3 booths inside the cafe but the outdoor enclosed dining area has plenty tables for a couple of guests to large party. My small group of 12 people can seat together for our meetings. I like its daily specials menu so I can try different food each time I come by. It also offer halal items for anyone has dietary preferences. The omelette was good, but the sausage pieces in the omelette were not uniformly cut and there were a fair number of large chunks of sausages. Rose Cafe also sells various pastries. It seemed like their Fruity Pebbles donuts was there most popular flavor since they sold out while I was there. I wish I wrote my review right after I came here! I forget the name of the nice lady who helped me out! Okay, so my cousin has been raving about Rose Cafe since I've told her about the Lake Forest BOGO gift card program (which sadly seems to have ended), but she kept telling me I had to try it. My co workers had zero interest so I never went. Finally, I told her you know what, since we work so close - why don't we just go together?! & we did just that and everything was great. I was able to phone in my order a day in advance for the time that I was meeting my cousin at for lunch, and the nice lady had everything ready almost exactly on the dot. I was impressed! There is plenty of seating outside and she brought the food out to us very shortly after we paid for our food. Everything about our food tasted great. Cousin got a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger with fries and I got the Rose's burrito with fries. The burrito came with egg whites, avocado, Swiss cheese, and red potatoes with no added salt. The food was delicious and the staff were SO friendly. I loved everything about the experience and wish I would have tried them sooner! Now I can't wait to come back and try more of their items! Rose cafe is awesome but I took a two stars off for the following: 1. Parking is rough 2. Price is high, no sides and they wanted to charge more for a simple ingredient add-on. Also i was disturbed with the overload of onions and the wacky Persian cucumber cutting style. They weren't peeled, ends were left on, and they were cut at a very thick angle I almost couldn't watch the sandwich. How was it? - Iced Vietnamese Coffee: Somewhat strong and a little more bitter than sweet, it tasted good. Small crushed ice allowed plenty of room so that the coffee to ice ratio was balanced. - Steak & Egg Burrito: This burrito had eggs, sliced beef, hash brown, bell peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. Heavy, hot, and greasy. I'm not sure if the oil was from the cheese or beef, but there was quite a bit of it. Other than that it tasted pretty good. It comes with a side of salsa but I recommend getting 1 or 2 more because it was barely enough for half of the burrito. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. There's some parking in front of the business and also around the corner in the same plaza. Two spots in front are reserved for pickup orders. I've had the Grilled Chicken Wrap from here before and it was also good. I recommend giving this place a shot! read more

Did not expect this little hidden cafe to churn out such a delicious breakfast burrito at nearly 9pm...not only was it very satisfying, it was also a decently sized handheld meal. We walked into what looks like a coffee shop that was right next to a hookah lounge (I believe they're associated with each other). While you do order at the register before finding seating, you may need some time to look over the menu, which includes omelettes, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and salads. They offer coffee and pastries, too. I went with a California Burrito, and it came out surprisingly quickly. It was served cut in half on a small tray lined with thin parchment paper. Seemed so simple, but it was nicely made and had each ingredient shine like our lovely California sun. Lemme just say that I really appreciated the amount of yummy protein and healthy fats wrapped in there - sausage, egg, bacon, avocado. The sour cream and melted cheese gave it an almost smooth texture while holding everything together. I liked that this burrito didn't have fries in it, and I'd totally get it again if I'm ever in the area, along with a coffee that seems to get rave reviews on Yelp. We weren't a fan of the limited seating options for a big group and the pervasive fumes from next door, but we left before things got too rowdy and smelly. We have eaten here about four times now. It seems like the training is terrible, each time there is confusion on the order and the people walk around trying to find out where you are sitting why this happens every time it's just beyond me. They used to give decent portions of protein, but the last two times we went there was very little. $50 for an iced coffee a Lox and bagel and a chip chicken wrap is a little ridiculous.
