I come here a lot for their late hours. It's a college bar and the service has definitely improved but it gets so busy and they don't always have enough bartenders during busy hours. I've tried their onion rings and they're delicious. Lots of seating inside and outside on the back patio. A Sports Bar located across the street from the university. I order my food & drinks at the bar. The staff is prompt & friendly, which is key for a sports bar. Their Happy Hour (4-7pm) attracts everyone from college kids to senior citizens, probably because the food & drink is super affordable. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices bc everything is so much more expensive in Portland, OR. They serve standard bar fare: Tater tot's, chicken strips, nachos, micros & domestic beers etc. My food was fried perfectly & the cook seem to be in good spirits. There are several tv screens & They play the key sports events. I watched the Tyson & Jake Paul fight here. Street parking & a parking lot around the corner. After 10pm it becomes more of a bustling hot spot for the college-age crowd. read more

Not busy so we sat down at an empty table, it was pretty chilly in there so I didn't remove my coat. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries and nachos. I was able to book my elopement celebration at Clodfelters with little notice. Hunter and the crew went so far above and beyond to provide a space for our rowdy crowd! And made many accomodations for us to ensure we had a special day! and it was so much more than special. we were meant to have a few hiccups that led us to Clodfelters because it was better than we imagined! I cannot recommend Clodfelters enough for events, or even just drinks and dinner. the vibe is amazing, the staff are incredible, and the food is fantastic!! read more

The new renovation totally sucks. Took the charm out of this college dive bar which now looks like a millennial tried to renovate with a cheap budget at Home Goods. Would recommend IF it was the old owner. Now is a total disappointment. Great, chill college bar north of Kearney. Clods has and will always be a place to go when visiting the old stomping grounds (go beavs!!!). Their HH is super affordable, and they have a nice selection of beers. The company I work for hosts speaker meetings a few times a year at OSU, so Clods is our go to spot when in beaver country for a quick drink and some delicious tots/curly fries/chicken wings!!! read more

If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to go lounge at late at night, this is NOT the spot for you. During the day it can be a little slow but at night this place is packed! I'm talking about barley able to move, no where to sit and waiting at the bar for a good 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong, this place is packed for a good reason. The workers are friendly, the inside is cozy and decked out with their Beaver Pride and you can choose to sit inside or put back on their giant patio. I don't really post reviews but I thought this should be posted about. I came in on a night this week and it was fairly crowded. Pretty lively and awesome until you notice everyone buying drinks and employees working behind the counter were also not wearing masks. Although I appreciated the "masks are required" signs, it seems like 99% of the people there were not following this rule. It began to seem more of like a funny joke- except it's not funny because Covid is killing people... omicron is now a thing as well if you people didn't know. Update - I moved my review now to one star instead of two and here's why; I came back to give this bar another shot yesterday on Saturday night. They DID FIX their mask rule as I saw a lot more people wearing masks however it was still about 50% of people following the longer I stayed. There was also an old lady working at the door asking for everyone's IDs (as she should) and making sure everyone was wearing a mask (as she also should). Then she went over to a table of college girls and yelled at them for vaping. Yes maybe they shouldn't do it but I don't get why she needed to yell at them and pick a fight with them rather then having some decency on customer service and politely saying "Hey, sorry girls/guys, but no vaping is allowed in this space and you can only smoke within **feet of this building." Or something like that. Another thing I noticed was that she walked outside the door to talk to another group on the sidewalk by the road. While I went to go meet my friends in line she went and said, "Get your pot out of here!" Like they were animals. She really started to piss me off. I really genuinely just wished she said it nicer because I felt so bad for them. Will not be going back. Horrible place. read more

Ohhhboy. My experience was a weeknight , only one other patron on the bar. There were more employees hanging out in /at/behind the bar than patrons . The website boasts fine microbews.. that is a joke. The burgers and food specials are good, and Clods has the BEST WINGS in Corvallis. The drinks were cold and service the day I went in was on point. Something to keep in mind is this has different ambience depending on the day you go. For example, during the day this place is very much a restaurant/sports grill kind of feel (Think Block 15). However, on Wed-Sat Nights Clodfelters is very much a packed college bar. So patrons should keep this in mind and be aware that the service will get bogged down by the crowds, but if you are an Alumni or a student then that is probably what you want anyways. They also kick minors (under 21) out after 9pm, regardless if accompanied by an adult or not. Again, this is too be expected, but just keep that in mind in case you bring in friends that are under 21 before 9pm rolls around. All in all, I have been here 10 times before making a review, and I can say that this place is very under rated read more

We waited 35 minutes for a server to even LOOK at us. We watched skinny blonde girls get served and we waited patiently but we had to ask several times before a server even looked at us. So, I forgot to close out one night and left my card at the bar. When I picked it up the next day and went to sign the receipt, the bartender from the night before WROTE HIMSELF IN A TIP. THIS IS NEVER OK. I don't care if someone racks up a $100 tab, it is STEALING if you write in a tip for yourself that was not authorized by the card owner. The only reason I didn't reduce the rating to 1 star is because I don't think I should completely tank them for one person's mistake. I absolutely love clods, the people, the food, the environment- everything is exactly what you expect from a college bar. Val, the cook does an amazing job with the food and the bartenders are super nice and they're also one of the only bars that take fakes seriously and don't allow people to use them. Joseph "joe" Allen Noreen provided exceptional service. If you're a boomer, skip with place after 5 most nights of the week. Nothing beats an AMF fueled round of Big Buck Hunter, always ALWAYS impresses the ladies when they see me drop virtual deer like a United States Navy SEAL. The bathroom is spacious and an exceptional venue for juuling, and the outdoor fire place is always a nice place to slam pitchers. If you're lucky you may get invited to play a game the locals call "hot rocks" where a rock from the fire pit is taken and passed around, as if it were a hot potato. I had nachos. They were okay but nothing special and I thought I'd get a bigger portion for the price. I really wanted to like this place. It is a good location and seems like a nice atmosphere. I expect a food place RIGHT outside a college would be good eats. Your clientele is poor college kids who want to eat and drink after classes. How is this place open? Other reviewers have said the beer was overpriced and to my account the food was. Early Saturday evening a friend and I went to get some food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my friend a chili burger. My hamburger was actually prepared very well. The meat wasn't overcooked as you get in most places. My biggest complaint is that it was small, for about $6 I expected a larger burger... and it had NO sides not even chips. I don't know where the photo of the burger from another user but mine was MUCH smaller (I have had sliders that were larger). My friend's burger was a much better serving size, not massively impressed with the flavor and when we asked for hot sauce all they had was "Frank's Red Hot" (wing sauce). Service might have been bad because we weren't drinking. After getting tired of waiting to get my water filled I ended up going up to the bar and had the bartender give me water. I don't expect the BEST service when I go to college type establishments but at least someone that I don't have to hunt down wouldn't be too much to expect. Such an accommodating place, especially if you want a little something to drink. Go in on your birthday and they will even arrange transportaion for you to the inmate entrance. Try not talking to the bartender because they're just going to misinterpret what you say and call you a liar. It doesn't matter if you have ID because to them it will be fake. There clearly is a surveillance system because that's what you get the pleasure of watching when you are trying to enjoy some drinks at the bar. This place was one of my old standbys when I used to live in Corvallis and I got a chance to relive the good ol' days when I was back here recently. Honestly, nothing has really changed.....and the food's about the same as I remember. The Monroe Street Monster was my burger of choice. It's a regular burger with bacon, Jack and cream cheese and mushrooms. It's a tasty burger with fries that are just ordinary. Had I reviewed this place in college I would've probably gave it 5 stars! This is a Dive Bar, not the classiest of places but the bartenders and servers are all friendly, even when their swamped which can be often late at night once the local college crowd rolls in. The burgers are good and fairly cheap though they don't include a side. Their late night menu is amazing with cheap burgers (with fries!) and lots of other munchies. Clodfelter's is definitely my favorite stop. Not so much for the nightlife, unless I'm looking to grab a few beers and hang out, but more for the relaxing atmosphere of Sunday afternoons. Clods is a great place to go to watch sports. Whether you can catch a Beaver game, or an NFL playoff game, Clods has something on their TVs you will want to watch. I go to Clods every Sunday to recover and reminisce about the weekend. My friends and I get there around 10:30am to order breakfast. I'd recommend the Biscuits and Gravy. Very cheap and relatively good for a bar breakfast. The beer on tap is on the expensive side, but always very good. Pitchers are obviously the best way to go, but I'd recommend buying pints of "good" beer and pitchers of "cheap" beer. The bar food is also pretty good. I usually stick with a variety of appetizers, but be sure to eat anything with the ranch sauce. It's by far my favorite I've ever had, and best paired with the Cajun Fries. The servers are attentive and as far as I've noticed, get along much better with college students than locals. It's a bar atmosphere. People can be rude and loud, including the servers for all I care. I'm not saying they are at all, but by no means are they sucking up to the patrons. You want bad service? Go to McMenamins. The atmosphere is exactly what I want in a bar. Dark lighting, mostly wood with random decor all over the walls. It doesn't get any better. On Sundays when I usually go for most of the day, there are times where my friends and I are the only ones there. Obviously, by that point, the servers and extremely attentive and strike up plenty of conversation. The traffic on Sundays peaks around lunch time, and is quite empty again by 2pm. I can't think of anything better to do on a Sunday than go to Clods with some friends, grab a few meals, a few beers, and watch football all day. We don't usually leave until 6pm, if not later. Best "real" bar in town. Also, Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm Monday through Friday has some really great deals for a small bite and pint. read more

I work in the service and beverage industry here in Corvallis, and I learned today that Clodfelter's refuses to support local business. They only do business with large companies, who in their own right have a great product, but the local economy is suffering because of people like this.
