I've only been here once before and got a pizza to go and a beer while I waited. I had the Kolsch and loved it. This time they sadly were tapped out. Apparently others liked it too! My mom was visiting and I wanted to bring her by to try out the beer so we stopped by after bald hill hike. I tried the Orange wheat and wasn't a fan. I got the pilsner next and it was decent for a pilsner. Mom likes the Douglas fresh session and the river otter red. Not a fan of the bba. But that is all personal preference! Last time the pizza I got to go was decent. A little small and pricey but I ate it! They took a little longer than normal and were nice about it. Service depends on time and how busy they are. Good beer with a variety of selections and rotating beers through the year. The North West IPA and Spruce Devil IPA (this one made with actual spruce) are excellent beers and not heavy on the malts. The Porch Light Pale Ale "taste great" and it is a go to as a starter and a finisher. The Mexican-Style Vienna Lager & the two juicy IPA's (Gushy & Juicy) are very good as well, even though I am not much of a hazy/juicy fan. For you sour fans the Lovers Sour will love you long time! ;) And they have a heavy hitter the 9%er, Exit 333 DIPA! The River Otter Red, nice, tasty malty red beer, with low IBU and 5% alc, along with the other beers on tap as well as their stouts (these change throughout the year as well) with some in cans and crowler availability. Food is good with appetizers, wings, nachos, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, (during lunch time), mac and cheese, crispy chicken sandwich, quesadillas, etc. Two sides of the seating for the brewery, both can seat families, many show up, outdoor seating as well and, they serve cocktails. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. We came as a group of 10, and the service was pleasant. I absolutely loved the artichoke dip--it was honestly the best thing ever. I ordered a burger, and it was quite good, with crispy fries on the side. There were a couple of small issues: one person in our group waited a long time for their pizza and only received it when the rest of us were almost finished eating. We also didn't have enough napkins and asked for more twice but never received them. Still, these were minor things. The atmosphere was relaxed, with cozy lighting that made it feel comfortable. Maybe a little too much salt, but the beer cheese was great. The pizza tasted good. The crust is a cross between cracker and dough. Nice under carriage. My wife had the gluten free option. There is street parking in a small lot right behind. Overall, there's not that much traffic so don't worry too much about parking. You order your food at the counter and then let them know where you're sitting. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up getting some beers as well as a couple of pizzas. it took about 20+ minutes before our pizzas came out. I would say that you should get a pizza per person, but they are good sized. My friend really enjoyed his beer. There is also a very good selection of beers available. Got the Philomath Philly and a Margarita pizza. Both are very good, but if you were to get one over the other, I would recommend the margarita . One of the pizza places in the area. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Take out containers and napkins are located in the back near the bathroom. recommend coming here for a nice get together with friends or a chance to eat some good pizza. read more

Tuesday nights alternate between bingo and trivia and Wednesdays they have live music. Did not believe I would find a brewery to park at after relocating from Sonoma County, Ca., but Dirt Road is a great place. Good beer, good food, the crew is excellent. Well worth more than just a visit! The stouts are fantastic as well as the Spruce Devil IPA, the River Otter Red Ale, Red Rye Spruce IPA and the quiet gem, the Pit Stop Punch sour. Super friendly staff, the food is phenomenal, the beer is the best and the atmosphere is super chill! I recommend this place to everyone. Ooooh! Such good beer! Only had the opportunity to try one of their beers but Steve managed to try more and was impressed with both he had! The beer I had was the Mexican Style Vienna Lager. Usually it's one or the other. A Mexican Lager or a Vienna Lager but not a combination of both. The malt is German and the corn aspect adds the Mexican influence to make this unique and very refreshing lager to enjoy! Flavor highlights in this gem that you can pick up is honey, nutty and corn notes with a great crispness which brings the refreshing note home. What a fun neighborhood pub. They are truly brewing up good times and great beer. This is the friendliest place I have ever walked into. If Carl is working, you are guaranteed to feel like family. It's the place where everybody knows your name. Carl walked me through the beers and literally slid the samples down the bar right into my hand. I had a well-balanced IPA that brought smiles to my tastebuds. I also enjoyed a Juicy Lover, you'll need to ask for a sample of that if you want to find out more. I can't drink a full pint of sours, but theirs are lovely; especially the blueberry one. I left, wishing I was hungry because every pizza that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled like heaven. This past weekend of May 31st our small group celebrated a birthday with 2 large pizza's from Dirt Road Brewing. In unanimous agreement, the four of us each commented that the large Taco pizza was way below even sub par, and the decision was made to throw left overs away .Who does that? Quickly becoming an area fav. We came across this place by on accident on a trip back from the Coast. It was cold, rainy and windy outside as we blew in to this cozy little stop and sat at the bar. Perfect post-hike lunch spot! My group hiked Marys peak in the morning and stopped here before heading home. Welcoming staff, lots of beer options and tasty pizza. There's seating inside and out and street parking. I ordered the chicken pesto pizza and sampler since there were so many options. Came here with friends and family for beer and pizza. What super place this is. Super nice staff, clean place, super good beer. I am married to beer snob and I hate IPA's and they had a spruce one that was really good.. I have been to some many different breweries and this is maybe like the 3rd or 4th I have ever liked so that has to say something. The pizza was super good!! I was surprised to be honest how good it was.. the buffalo one and pesto one are both amazing. This place is totally family friendly with colouring books and card games. charming brewery off the main road in Philomath. I saw a road sign when heading thru town from the coast, clever name. It's on the corner of a one-way street heading west. Parking on the street, pretty easy. Nice, professional signage and facade. Entered and there were a couple folks enjoying their brew. Was greeted by nice barmaid - and I asked about some of the flavors, seeking traditional IPA, she spoke about a few and then they had these little placecards describing each beer, a very thoughtful idea. I sampled a coconut, brut IPA, unique. I decided to order their NW IPA. It contained the usual hops, it was bright and crisp. Nicely hopped. I enjoyed sitting at a high top and later ordered a pizza to go. Beers $5, 10" Pepperoni Pizza $14. The pizza was great and they use those small pepperoni's that curl up. Think I saw just the one large TV. Cute art on the walls. Great marketing and swag available to purchase. Outside tented area, too. Glad I arrived when I did, as it got super busy. read more

Love Dirt Road Brewing! I've been here a couple times and both times have been wonderful. The staff is great! The second time I went was a Friday evening, so it was busier. My fiancé and I ordered our food to go, due to Covid restrictions and the few tables outside were full. We sat out front sipping our drinks and one of the employees came and told us we could grab a table that a couple was getting to leave. This was perfect because we live in Albany and really wanted to stay and enjoy our food there. They have warmers outside so even though it's colder, it was nice to sit outside under the tent.
