I have stopped by this place a number of times. Whether, it was just for a beer or to watch a game and get some food; I have yet to leave in a good mood. I figured after being somewhat of a regular, being friendly, and tipping well, I would have earned some respect, but nope. Every employee has an attitude, the beer is expensive, and the food is below par. This place has so much potential to be a really great bar....But if you didn't got to high school, roommate, or sleep with one of the bartenders, I wouldn't recommend Clodfelter's. read more

I'm an OSU alumni and I use to go to clods back when I was in school for drinks every now and then. Didn't really go there to eat but I was in Corvallis this time and decided to stop by for a beer and some food. I always enjoy good bar food, but this was not that good. I got the Louisiana chicken sandwich, wasn't that bad but I could have made a better sandwich at home. The bred had a moldy spot and the service was terrible, like if the waiter had never served a table. At least my beer was good but definitely wouldn't recommend going there for food. read more

I work in the service and beverage industry here in Corvallis, and I learned today that Clodfelter's refuses to support local business. They only do business with large companies, who in their own right have a great product, but the local economy is suffering because of people like this. Good burgers and fun atmosphere, but customer service is questionable. I usually have fun there, but recently I had bad experience that I felt needed to be shared. I was talking sports with a friend and was rudely interrupted by a bartender named Jodi. She must of been having a bad night because our harmless conversation about the Trail Blazers irritated her so much that she felt the need to yell "shut the fuck up" at us. I was so blown away by her poor attitude that I left and took my business elsewhere. read more

Clodfelter's is my favorite bar in Corvallis. When I used to go to Oregon State, I would literally go there 2-3 times per week. I live in Southern California now but any chance I get when I'm back in Oregon I make sure to hit up Clod's. The bartenders are always super nice here and the service is great. It is bar food, but I like the turkey burgers there. Pint night Wednesdays are also pretty awesome and they have Big Buck Hunter there! It's a great place to go on Friday and Saturday night before you hit up Peacock or Sancho's. read more

I've never had any problem with this bar, except 1, and a big one of that. So when ordering drinks you have to stand in line for the bar like a pre-school student waiting for your chocolate milk during lunch.. When you have 3 bar tenders and a server there is no use for a long line like this. Lazy if you ask me. The drinks are poorly made and the wait for food is way too long. Only reason it got a 3rd star because the beer selection is wonderful and the big game deer hunter is way fun in the back. read more

We didn't have any food, but it was a very fun bar. We were in town for an Oregon State football game and they won, we expected the town to be hoppin, but it was surprisingly dead. Clodfelter's was the only place that was full and fun to be at. read more

Went to Clodfelters the other day to grab some food after an afternoon Beavers game. The place wasnt very busy at all. Atmosphere was a typical college sports bar type place, kinda cool, might be a good place to go seen an NFL or college game. I didn't have any drinks but they had a full bar and a good amount of beer on tap. The food was typical bar food (burgers/nachos ect). The food was very subpar and basic even for bar food. If I did go back to this place it probably would be just for watching a game and having some beers....the food was pretty blah. read more

Listen: this is not the type of place that you go to for ambiance and stellar service. I've seen folks complain that the service here sucks, but are you coming to a bar across the street from campus expecting amazing service? No. You want a place where you can get a drink, relax, and watch some TV or something. It has all of those things. The food is actually pretty good and I can tell the owner gives a dam about it. So what if you have to flag the server or bartender down or they're a little rough from the night before? They're polite and that's good enough. The only thing that would get this place a 5 star rating is a better Better Mary setup. read more

I love the staff here! Friendly and down to Earth. Can get crowded sometimes before and after games, and late night. However, the happy hour is a great deal, and they have a great beer selection. I come here often, and have never had a bad experience other than with other patrons (mainly rude, drunk dudes late night between Thursday-Saturday). HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE CONSTANTLY!!!!! There is one or two bartenders that are always nice. Everyone else is completely rude. They show they are stressed out and seem angry at all of their customers. This is a college town, it is nobody's fault but their own that they have to deal with drunk college students. I have complained multiple times to them. One persons bad service will effect the amount or if I even tip. I brought my mom to clods for moms weekend and you would think they might try to be a little nicer for all of the visitors for this fun and special weekend. This bar needs help or new employees asap. read more

The service here is absolutely terrible. Not even on the weekend, but mid-week they still get overwhelmed and mix up orders. Their system for delivering food to customers is idiotic almost to the point of not functioning at all. There are some polite servers but a few that put in as little effort as possible and are almost child-like in their ignorance and stubbornness. I hope for others customers sake they don't spend money at this establishment because they have little to no chance of getting what they actually ordered. I warn others to look out for one server in particular, short and blonde, with a beard. After messing up our order we watched and he proceeded to hand out random food to people who continued to inform him the order was not there's. this was of no concern to him and he continued to force incorrect orders on paying customers. Overall the food itself wasn't horrible, but our experience was tainted by one horrid worker and his blatant disregard for even attempting to do his job decently. read more

I feel that Clodfelter's should be rated separately for their weekday hours of service to their evening, late night, and weekend service. Basically, if you want inattentive service and a noisy, rowdy, college crowd (which goes with the territory), go on a Friday night or other similar hours. I have frequented Clodfelter's numerous times, but the majority of times I have gone there have been during the weekday hours. I can't remember any bad experiences I have had in the place during those hours of business. The food is always hot and arrives usually in an impressive amount of time. The kitchen staff will occasionally bring out your order and check to see how you like it. Any billing discrepancies have worked out in my favor if staff recognize that they have made a mistake. I am almost always greeted when I walk through the doors. However, the one time I ventured out with some visiting friends to go to Clodfelter's on an average "college night," it was a completely different restaurant. The place was crowded, noisy, and understandably, the service was not as attentive. I was also disappointed to learn they had stopped carrying Ninkasi beers. But, if you are looking to get away from the daily grind, Clodfelter's is a great place to get pretty good food (that might give you a heart-attack) for the price (IMO), and potentially some decent drinks on a weekday, even if you are not into the "college crowd." read more

Would give a negative star review if this app allowed that. Took my kids there tonight and barely had service. Ordered a mirror pond and it was served in a warm plastic cup. Asked if they could swap it for a cold pint glass and was told owner got rid of them as 2 many people were breaking them. By 3rd sip my beer was warm. Ordered fish and chips and my fish came dripping in oil. No one had bothered 2 let the grease drop off. Broke open the 1st one and it was raw inside. Took forever 2 finaly get someone back over to the table and when I did, I showed waitress and she said I can take off only the price of your beer, basically I just paid 5$ for completely unseasoned fries then. Will absolutely never go back. read more

I watched the blonde bartendress slink to the other end of the bar where she thought no one would see and make our drinks without pouring the slightest bit of the required alcohol. I'm an alumni at OSU and although Clodfelter's was never 'Great' it has sure gone downhill. We practically had to beg to get a waitress to help us. Mind you, it was not very busy at 11:30AM after the eclipse. When she did come over and we asked her questions on the menu she acted like we were idiots to even be asking questions. When I told her what I wanted on my Burger she said it 'comes with whats on the menu'. My girlfriend's coffee was terrible and she had to go back and return it, which prompted another attitude from the waitress. The burgers we did get we gross and the meat fell apart on them. Half the other items (pickles, tomato) were buried underneath the tater tots which were overcooked in themselves. We asked for a check and when the waitress brought it she stood there and waited until I had paid her the bill. Oh well, another old institution on Monroe street I'll never eat at again. read more

SKIP THIS PLACE. Took a group of 8 here yesterday after moving the kids into the dorms at OSU. One of our group had eaten here about 10 years ago and recommended it. What a disappointment, worst restaurant experience I have probably ever had. There were only a few other patrons when we arrived and a server came to our table and took our drink order and left menus and promptly returned with drinks, good start. However, 25 minutes later we had to flag down another server to take our meal order as our server hadn't been seen since drinks were served. We ordered 7 burgers and 2 appetizers. Unfortunately, we were informed the sweet potato fries were unavailable, bummer. The fried zucchini was so that sufficed. Food eventually started being brought out to the table but after all the burgers were served the server said the zucchini would be out in a minute. Strange because at most places the appetizers come first and this was actually someone's meal. When everyone was almost done with their burgers the server came out to say it would be a few more minutes for the zucchini. At this point the server was told to just forget it. The server came back 10 minutes later, an hour after we had ordered, with the zucchini. We tried to refuse it and the server said no charge. That was a polite thing to do but they would have been smarter to have never brought it as it was only more disappointment. It was mostly end caps that were over cooked and the few regular slices were undercooked, yuck! Those who got burgers found them mediocre, nothing special. This place needs to close down food service and concentrate on drinks, IF you can find a server. Never again! read more
