Long story short... Called to get my TV repaired. Took it in. They told me it was going to cost $250 to repair. I told them I was going to think about it. 10 minutes later I told them I didn't want to her it fixed as TV is allot older and I would just get another one. They told me TV was already fixed which I thought was odd as they had to order the part. I told them I didn't want it repaired and I'd pick it up. They told me I could pick up TV in two days because they had to take out the part they put in it to repair. I told them that was fine and I'd pick it up as soon as it was ready. Next day I got a call saying they would just give me the repaired TV for $150 and not charge me the labor. I said sure and again they told me it would be ready two days after. (Weird. I thought it was already repaired) Two days later I go pick it up. I Pay the $150 and they told me that was only for labor. Anyways, TV took about 1 1/2 weeks to repair and get. I did only pay $150 and they did help me out to my car. Just thought the process was super weird. read more

When you have a computer or phone crash, you are desperate and vulnerable to being taken advantage of. After being caught in a Costa Rican rainforest storm, my "water resistant" iPhone XS did not survive. The last signs of life were a flickering Apple logo before everything went blank. Even after drying everything out, the phone was still dead. Adrian Mendoza at ClickAway in downtown Los Altos opened up the phone, thoroughly cleaned dried out the interior, and cleaned up some corrosion, after which the iPhone came back to life. All for a VERY reasonable price and with a 24-hour turnaround. It's not often that you get this level of service these days. And he's a really nice guy, too! Rocky was fabulous(and he's 18-computer science major). My HP laptop was acting funny, very slow and other issues. He diagnosed it as being several years old, had gone through many tuneups. He felt that downloading a new SSD(a hard drive?) onto it, would be the best option. He was able to transfer my files to the new SSD. I am very pleased with the results. It's working great, faster. My laptop was crashing with a blue screen. Although ClickAway couldn't reproduce the issue, they were so nice to put in a lot of time to diagnose the issue for me for free. They speculated that the laptop might be overheating after a few hours of use so their recommendation was to use a cooling pad which I'm going to try. Great effective work by Clickaway. I was having speed problems with my computer: it was taking a long time to boot up. I thought it just needed a diagnostic test but the Clickaway team saw that I was having disc failure problems and was able to show that to me pretty clearly. It did cost more to change out the hard drive but it made an immediate impact and solved my problem. I was glad that they just didn't do what I asked for but looked at the computer holistically and comprehensively. They ended up saving me more money because I did not have to get a new computer. I recently was in need of a new computer and did not know where to start. I found Bhim at ClickAway to be extremely helpful. With his guidance, I selected a laptop and an adaptor so that I can use the computer at home with my oversized monitor. Great experience working with the tech in-store and communication about the repair process and what to expect, etc. I brought in my PS3 that was no longer reading game discs and the blue laser in the Blu-ray drive needed to be replaced. 4* instead of 5* because the price to repair was a small amount pricier than I think I could have gotten elsewhere, but it was definitely hard to beat how close they were to where I live! It is the right thing to do and appreciated. Although the refund has not yet been received, I trust it is on the way. Earned a star for his customer service. He feels this is not the usual customer experience and since I was recommended here by friends that faired better, I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say it could have been the luck of the draw and the tech that answered my call that resulted in this frustrating experience. Really good experience getting my computer files from old computer on to a new laptop. I actually bought a new Dell because the computer I brought in for transfer while a new Hp laptop, it was an older model bought on Home Shopping Network, with very little memory capability. This far exceeds my HORRIBLE experience with Tech Loop in Menlo Park. The tech there had no idea what he was doing. Click Away was way more professional, explained things and set and met appropriate expectations. Jose was simply terrific! You do need to ask questions and clarify - participate in getting your needs met. It was an expensive solution but at least I now have a stellar computer and peace of mind! read more

Brought my computer in to get repaired. Left with a charger that looked like a dog shredded it. They claimed that I gave it to them this way, but then why would I have given them the plastic pieces that came off and why would they have given them back to me? As for the actual service, the diagnostic was free, but still unhelpful in trying to actually fix it, and I was instead offered a completely different service that I no interest in getting. I immediately called Clickaway, made an appointment and they were out to my house the same day a few hours after my initial call. The young man that arrived was on time, knowledgeable, skilled and had all my home computers back on-line within an hour. I can't remember the techs name but he then suggested taking my laptop in for some standard clean up maintenance, which I agreed to. When i went to pick up the laptop a few days later at the store, boy, was I impressed on how clean the working store/shop is. I came in here numerous times because of issues with my Sony Vaio laptop. The service I received from many employees here were very professional and friendly. The last time I had my laptop fixed here was from Jay. He was very nice at first until he told me my laptop was completely broken, and the only solution was to purchase a new laptop. I did not believe that, so I kept asking him to help me via email. The next day, I received a voicemail msg. from Jay saying that my laptop was able to turn on again. I was so relieved that these guys help fixed my laptop, but I did not like the fact that they tried to tell me my laptop was completely dead. Yes it's a business, so ofcourse they are after your $ and their commission; but I hate dishonesty esp. when I'm an honest person. Clickaway provided amazing customer service to me with my most recent computer blowup. The store manager, Jake Shephard, went well above and beyond and I have to call him out here. I originally brought my Mac to this store b/c it stopped working. They told us it needed a new hard drive and keyboard which they replaced and charged about $400 for, including the data transfer. Sure enough, it stopped working again. Another visit and this time the issue was the I/O board. I authorized the I/O board to be replaced. When it came back and stopped working again I found out that they only cleaned the existing I/O board. But before it stopped working, I went out to purchase a new battery and power cord, excited about my new Mac. So I was out $224 for the new hardware and my Mac still wasn't working. Of course I was pretty frustrated at this point and shared my store with Jake. Jake took command of the situation. He took the computer and re-diagnosed it as needing a new motherboard. He communicated with me at every step. He agreed completely the issue was theirs. And critically, he offered to give us a full refund for the entire amount of the repairs up to-date as well as purchase the new power cord and battery if I didn't get the Mac fixed. Since the motherboard was too much money, we agreed I would receive a $650 credit towards anything else and bought a new iPad. All companies should have employees like Jake. I am thankful for his customer-focus and will continue to trust this company to deal with my computer issues. read more

Took my computer in for a diagnostic (it was free) on a Saturday. Jake was very helpful and call me the following Monday. He explained what's wrong with my laptop and suggested that I either e-waste it or keep it until I'm ready for a new one coz it would not be worth fixing (needed a new Motherboard). Worst customer service EVER. Doesn't seem like they know what they're doing here. Called in yesterday to see if they had a replacement part in stock. The guy on the other end said they had it, confirmed it twice as it is quite a drive from San Francisco. Upon arrival, I could see one person helping some guests and 2 other people.in the back. The guy didn't even acknowledge my existance. I sat there for 20 minutes before someone even said hi to me. When the gal from the back finally made her way up to me, all she could tell me was that they didn't have it. She excused herself to check the other stores. Nope. Nothing. Even more phone calls later, I had no idea what she was doing. After another 10 minutes, she finally comes back out to tell me she was trying to figure out who gave me the bad info to tell them they need to double check things. Do I really care? No, you do that on your own time. Looks like this poor customer service is a constant. Another 4 customers came in. Same thing, not even an acknowledgement of their existance. One lady even said good morning to one of the male associates and he just looked at her and looked away without saying a thing. Super rude associates here it seems. The other clients left after not being greeted or acknowledged. I'll pass on coming to this company every again. Considered them due to a recommendation, but will now tell everyone to run from this place as fast as they can. Do yourself a favor by looking for an alternative. read more
