Bosko was able to figure out and finally eliminate a very weird problem that had been causing my email system to allow only one-word replies. This was amazing! He also installed my replacement drum for a black-and-white laser printer (carefully removing printer ink dust which occurred during the transfer & which, as he detected, created smudging on the new copies) and then set up the new color printer I'd purchased. I have been a customer of Click Away for years, buying new computers and receiveing help. I recently had trouble connecting my computer to my printer, and I took it to Click Away. When he was done, the repair person dropped off the computer to my house. The printing from the computer still would not work. Among other charges I now question, was $199.99 to back up services. My back up service was current, already. I called the store and complained about the PRICE AND SERVICE. The price was $1099.96. I ended up fixing the computer myself. After speaking to the store manager, I was sent two different invoices with no explaination why. They did agreed to deduct $299.00 from the bill which would come off my credit card. Very disappointed with the service I received at ClickAway in Sunnyvale. I had a work PC that started to get a boot error for "imminent drive failure back up drive soon". Was busy at work so I took the PC to Clickaway and paid for expedited service to backup the drive, transfer it to a new drive and install it. Seemed simple. Two days later was told that the drive may be unrecoverable, and that recovery would cost an additional $1120 on top of the $350 I paid for them to tell me this? I was told they were unable to boot from the drive though I was always able to after getting the message. I assumed maybe it failed while they ran their diagnostic, but after declining the recovery fee and getting the PC back I was able to boot the drive just fine and recovered the data very easily myself, obviously I should have done this in the first place. At the same time I purchased a refurbished PC from ClickAway. Was told it had a 1TB SSD over the phone, then that turned into a 1TB HDD when I got there in person. I booted it up and found it only had a 240GB SSD. Opened up the case a found a 240GB SSD dangling, unsecured but connected inside. I unplugged the SSD and plugged in the original 1TB HDD that was installed but unplugged. That seems to work fine, but as this is a refurb I have no idea if this drive has an issue or why there was a SSD installed like that. Waisted my time and my money. read more

In the last couple years I've used Click Away for computer/laptop issues. I bought maintenance plans from Click Away, which helps with IT etc. issues. I had computer/laptop issues early April 2026. I called Click Away to notify them what happened. William Green handled troubleshooting my laptop issues. William was able to get my laptop back in working condition. William informed that my laptop drive was not up to the maximum performance level. William recommended installing a used drive or buy a new laptop in a year. I decided to buy a new laptop. William researched a new laptop for me to purchase. Another Click Away employee, Safi worked on transferring the data from my old laptop to my new laptop. I'm glad the data transfer went smooth. My phone fell and it has what it called the "black screen." All my photos of the babies are gone. (Especially all my newborn pictures of my baby girl, who is 10 months now). They were not backed up into Google cloud. Too make a long stoty short. A Mom recommended this place. I made a quote online. Maybe 30 mins later, I got a call back and was able to make an appt, that same day. Pedro helped me and he was so nice. He told me what he can do and what can be done. They offered me a great quote and I went ahead and agreed. They provided great customer service. I came in Wednesday afternoon. They told me they didn't have the screen for my phone. They called me later on that day and said they wouldn't have my phone ready by Friday. I called them Saturday and said they didn't get the part in yet. I waited till Monday to call them. I think it probably depends on who you get to help you. I called the shop because my laptop had been "remote access scammed" a few days before and I didn't know how I was hacked, so I wanted to know if Clickaway could help check my laptop. Tranh said she would check it and "tune it up". I emphasized to her that I didn't want changes or anything removed from my computer without talking to me. She would send screenshots to me if there was something she thought should be removed. I was also getting a back up and she asssured me they would finish today. I received no phone calls over the day and when I called, they were in progress. Called later, still in progress. At the end of the day, looks like it won't be done. I will pick it up in the morning, they will finish the backup over night. I call in the morning, can't get thru and get put on hold twice for over 15 mins each time. I show up in person (still on hold!). Apparently there was one other customer in the shop and it is practice to leave me on hold indefinitely. The laptop is done, but Tranh is not here. No feedback about what they found, what was done... and my laptop desktop looks different and chrome setup looks different also. I decide to take the laptop home and revisit the shop later when Tranh is there. I want to talk about why my setup looks different. I PREPAID for the service, but the guy at the shop says I can't take my laptop without signing that everything was to my satisfaction. He's holding my laptop like it's ransom and won't hand it to me. I'm not signing until I talk to Tranh and I extract MY LAPTOP out of his hands and walk off. He still had the power supply, but I didn't realize until I was halfway home. No need for the rudeness. Back for the power supply, then back 2 hours later to talk to Tranh. When I see her, I find out that she had logged me out of my Chrome profile (probably automatic when she cleared my cookies), but leaving me logged in to a work gmail for some reason that I still don't understand. Tranh decided to turn on Sync (I've never turned it on), so my current personal bookmarks were now synced to my work gmail. And when I logged off the work email and into my default profile, my bookmarks were no longer there. I need them. And I couldn't log back into the work email because Tranh had apparently turned on 2 party authentication on my work email. It took me all day to find out the bookmarks were probably stored in my work gmail and get logged back in to the work email. I talked to Tranh about it and she was unable to help me figure out wht happened. Fortunately, my work helped me log in and I was able to capture my bookmarks and move them back to my main profile. In the end, I got no feedback on my original concern and in the meantime it was a major pain and I was treated very rudely and dismissively by the employee who wouldn't hand me my laptop and who left me on hold indefinitely... twice I felt that Tranh didn't listen and didn't communicate... $500 later.
